Hey friends! Today I’ve got another full day of eating for you and let me tell ya what… this day was BUSY. I had like no time to sit and enjoy a meal “mindfully” and that’s okay! That’s life! It’s not perfect. Perfection doesn’t exist. I’ll explain my mindset and how I navigated that.
In these full day of eating videos the goal is for me to show you what it looks like to eat with no food rules. I explain the WHY behind my food choices so you can see how I eat intuitively. During these full days of intuitive eating some things will be kept ambiguous to help prevent comparisonitis. Every day is different and this was just one day!
Don’t forget to give this video a thumbs up if you want to see more full days of eating! And if you’re not already subscribed to the channel be sure you do so you ya don’t miss ‘em

As a disabled person this channel is helping me so much with food prep and eating more. It's really inspirational seeing someone having a good relationship with food
That's so wonderful to hear! I'm so glad these videos are helpful for you!❤
colleen I cannot thank you enough, genuinely saying you've been the biggest help for me to get out of an eating disorder
I don't have the privilege nor the support for me to get professional help and the first time I decided to start changing my life was after watching one of your videos! after years of restriction I didn't know what is considered an adequate meal or what's normal for someone to eat throughout the day and how to deal with guilt and plenty of other issues and you helped me with all of this! Im so so thankful and I hope you know how much good you're doing for others
I LOVE the app!!! The community has tons of real, relevant and RAW questions with plenty of feedback. The app also has so many lessons connecting other dots for me and putting things into word I couldn’t explain before. I love how things are bite sized and that there’s multiple coaches for the coaching videos. I am also utilizing the ADHD course and it’s been a GAME changer!! I didn’t realize I couldn’t eat with no distractions without feeling uncomfortable because I was under stimulated until that course.
I just started following you this week. You’ve already helped me see food differently. Big thank you! Colleen you need to do a collaboration with Abbey Sharp. Another intuitive dietitian. Both of you, together, are a powerhouse against diet culture/bad influencers.
Welcome! So glad you are here!! I'm so happy that you find my content helpful. Thanks for the suggestion... you never know what the future may hold.😉
I usually don't watch these kind of youtubers, but omg you actually might be one of my comfort influencers.
I'm recovering from my BED, so whenever I eat slightly more without knowing the calories, I feel guilty which leads me to a binge. Today I did that (overate without knowing the exact calories) and trying not to get triggered rn. But watching you makes me feel comforted- you really gives those wholesome, comfortable and cool teacher vibes that gives the warmest hugs :]
I know that I may sound corny, especially since I'm a teenager who usually don't care about these stuff- but seriously, thank you so much for what you're doing
oh my gosh, thank you so much! This is such a wondeful compliment. Sending you virtual warm hugs🤗
The way you described that it’s ok to eat with distraction really helped me not feel guilty about the many times I do have to eat with distraction.
I’m so glad! 🥰
For handling hot glass bowls, you can use a potholder under the dish, or buy a cloth bowl holder. It'll save your hands from possibly getting burned.
Thanks for the info!
Thank you for making another "what i eat in a day" video. These are helpful, they help me feel more comfortable trying to eat in the 3-5 hour manner. I struggle with eating but seeing you enjoy food and discuss your thought process is really helpful and motivating!! Also, definitely looking forward to the app :-)
Thank you so much! I'm so glad these videos are helpful. I cannot WAIT for you to experience the app!! It's so exciting!
Healing my relationship with food isn’t easy after listening to keto , ketovore , carnivore influencers! They do so much harm ! Thank you for all you do ! I have 20 pounds to lose but I’m not doing it in an unhealthy quick fix way !
Thank you for another awesome vlog/what I eat in a day! It's great to hear you make your choices/explain your thoughts as you navigate nourishment. And I'm SOOO excited for this app! :--D Yaaay!!
So glad you enjoy this videos! Yay!!!! Love that you are excited for the app too!!! It's a labor of love!
Can you please do more of these?🙏🏼 It would also be super beneficial to incorporate:
1.)your reasoning to why you chose these meals, 2.)your thought process of portion sizes,
3.)your mindset and self talk before/during/and after the meal,
4.)mindset or thoughts as to when and ques why you stopped eating that particular meal,
Thank you so much.
I'm so glad this is helpful. Thank you so much for your feedback!❤
I would love to see too how much of the food you make, that you eat in one sitting. @@ColleenChristensen
This was super helpful. It is great when you find recipes that taste good, and leave you satisfied. I made a rice bowl for meal prep this week, which was... so good. I was going to put more on the plate initially but I reminded myself, you can always have more. give yourself a chance to enjoy the meal. I really like the what I eat in a day series.
So glad you are enjoying this series! Great working giving yourself unconditional permission to eat as well and go back for seconds if you need it! Such body kindness. I love it! Keep up the amazing work, my friend.❤
Did she say lasagne soup? That sounds really good and good for freezer stock! Is it lasagne put in a blender?
Yes! It is so good! I used this recipe: www.cookingclassy.com/lasagna-soup/
These are the best types of videos!
Thank you so much!
I make overnight oats with Greek yogurt and kefir and berries ! High protein plus more probiotics and I throw on nuts
Hi colleen, your videos really help me with improving my relationship with food, so thank you for that. I am really struggling atm with food.
A while ago I heard some things about fasting being good for the body and I started looking more in to it and (over)thinking to myself about it (about how our ancestors fasted and that humans NEED to fast or otherwise be unhealthy) and overtime it became really a compulsive thing in my head, that after a while I would HAVE to not eat for a few days when I ate bad (to burn of the calories) or when I felt like my organs could use a ''brake'' because it's ''healthy''. Right now I just can't fast because whenever I think of doing it or start doing it I get very anxious and out of breath, it has become a trauma. I don't want to fast, I love food way too much, but suddenly that one voice in my head says: You need to not eat for a few days, otherwise you are not healthy!!
I never saw a short of you about fasting, I was wondering how you see this and what tips you would have for me? Thank you!
Hey there! Here is a blog post all about fasting that may help you out! colleenchristensennutrition.com/intermittent-fasting/

How to get rid of laxatives?😢
Im just genuinely curious. Do you have any health or personal fitness goals? From the first look at you, if someone just saw you or met you, the general assumption here is you look thin and are tall. Just curious how old you are? I know you know that as we age, we lose muscle mass. So im just curious if you eat certain foods for any fitness goals, health goals etc. Do you do any strength exercises? I know you also have gad own eating disorders in the past. Eould love to hear you discuss this in a video. ❤

I’m curious, what time did you eat the meals? They look delicious 😋!
I don't remember exact times, but you want to make sure you are eating every 3-5 hours... going no more than 5 hours in between meals!
@@ColleenChristensen thank You for taking the time to reply. That helps! I’m dealing with trying to heal my relationship with food and my body. But I also have severe chronic illnesses. So it feels like a minefield as you can imagine. I really appreciate your content content

Obviously not. She was eating turkey and beef later.
Nope, I am not vegan, but I do like to incorporate some meatless meals into my week for variety.

You seem like the kind of person to reject grass fed milk and butter just because you think it’s “diet culture” when you KNOW it’s better for you.
Could be a flavor preference thing. I tried grass fed cheese and butter. Found both disgusting. To me it is a diet food you force yourself to buy and eat. I prefer to take bit k with vit d3 to get nutritious value.
@@nedutchgirl how is it diet food? I don’t think centuries of people eating by grass fed dairy is a diet. It tastes richer. Guess you have bad taste.
Nope not at all. What makes something diet-y is our reason for choosing it. Not the food itself. Food preferences are 100% ok, as long as it's because it makes us feel good, and NOT because diet cutlure "said so".❤
@@DYO-mn1leWow. How dismissive. People are allowed to have preferences. Different does not equal "bad taste".
