The details in this game are next level. They didn’t have to put the cute doggy but we see yojimbo’s beast so why not say the doggy was a fayth too. Love it
Something unnerving about the chambers is how the floor "pictures" are actually what it looks like the embalmed bodies of dead people turning into aeons. We walk on top of tombs.
Those are the entombed warriors or summoners who gave up their lives to become fayth. From the sound of it, they're not really dead but in some state of eternal slumber
Even though I just finished this game for the first time, it still gave me a deep nostalgic feeling. The Blitzball, the Spirits, the graphics... It was like experiencing those football animes I used to love as a child and "Fatal Frame" as a child for the first time again. It was wonderful.
I remember having to go back to Valefor to get the treasure there, and was really surprised when I got the cutscene. I was made fun of for forgetting it in the beginning, but if I didn't I wouldn't have known to go back to the other Fayths. This was on the PS2, regular version.
No lie these are some of my favorite moments in the game. Very nice to return to the temples, drink in their beauty and happen upon these intimate scenes. If I remember right I think you have to actually do the cloister of trials again too which is fun.
Both Shiva and Yojimbo's fayth give the reason and explanation as to how Tidus returns at the ending of this game and X-2 as well as the way he returns: Shiva "But do not weep, nor rise in anger." "Even we were once human. That is why we must dream." "Let us summon a sea in a new dream world." "A new sea for you to swim." Yojimbo "You are a fading dream, but one touched by reality." "Spira will not forget its reality, nor the one who saved it." "Run, dream, run on." "Pass beyond the waking and walk into daylight." Explains why I wasn't surprised by the endings of this and X-2. Yojimbo makes clear even though he's a dream you still existed with real people and they will remember you and they both are saying "hey if you do us this big solid we will save you and make you actually real in Spira's reality." Hence why the pyreflies appear before he wakes up in the ocean as Shiva says. Then him walking in bright sunshine to the shore of Besaid explains Yojimbo's dialogue.
@@PorognaIt also explains Bahamut's comment to Yuna, about them "working on it" so that she can see him again. They had messed up during their time in creating Tidus... but essentially they were using of all their energy to make Tidus essentially into an Aeon-made walking Fayth solely for Yuna. It's sad that they spent so much energy and time collecting his memories from Spira and putting him together... just for the events of 10-3 to confirm that the process is flawed and he's not Tidus any longer. They wanted to thank Yuna, but they couldn't do the impossible even with their immense power.
But Shiva says "should the dreaming end, you too will disappear" and then "let us summon a sea in a new dreamworld, a new sea for you to swim" which means that FFX-2 is like the Dream-Zanarkand, a Dream-Spira and not the Spira from FFX?
@Snake_Killer_x1x No she's referencing the sea of the Far Planes. So in ffx, in the ocean there's just a giant sphere in the waters that is holding dream zanarkand. They destroyed that sphere, and with it...dream zanarkand... and their idea was to make another sphere (a dream ocean) to properly create a place for the dreaming to rest as they passed on. They were intending to use that to form Tidus and make him essentially a whole new being that wasn't linked to Yu Yevon's rage. Sin is essentially an aeon of nightmares and rage from Yevon... they wanted to make Tidus the opposite. A "dream" made from only gratitude and joy. The "ocean" is the emotions and memories of the deceased dreams. They legit wanted to craft him a new reality so he could live with Yuna. That's how much they were grateful to Tidus... it's so sad how Straight forward they were and it goes over your head the first playthrough. They wanted the suffering to stop so badly m
