So lovely to see these 2 legendary off-road 4X4 rigs in action in AFRICA !....awesome video I love to see you tackling back-roads, muddy tracks...it shows me how they handle tough terrain
I lived near Chipata for three years as a kid 40 years ago. The bridge looks the same but the roads you showed around Chipata look way nicer than I remember, rode in the bed of my dad's Toyota Dyna that he had made bows for and put a tarp over. Thanks for posting this, brings back some good childhood memories.
Wow, what a dream to do this. I'm very happy that you got to do it and filmed it for anyone to see. Thank you very much. I am really enjoying this video.
Mega Reise - ich zieh mir gerade alle Eure Videos rein! Echt geil gemacht !! Hoffen sehr, dass wir uns ähnliches in den nächsten Jahren auch trauen!! ;-) LG Hubert und Heike
Could have happened to ANY vehicle! ...was all part of the adventure! We had fun! Would do it again... anytime!!! Both vehicles got back home in good condition :-)
District roads looking like trenches, Zambia has a lot to do. I feel sorry for these cars esp the defender, the terrains they have to endure are hard. plus how come you didnt repair any tire puncture? I am sure this trip is now your everyday story. see you on the next episode
A real video about Overlanding - Congrats.. We are planning a Nairobi to CPT in 2022, so keen to hear: - Did you have to Enter both Lower Zambezi NP & Sth Luangwa NP via an Official Gate and What Fees did you have to pay (vehicle, Per Person and Concessions) .. ? - Cash or CCard Acceptable ? - Did you have to have pre-Booked Camps ? - Did you visit Nth Luangwa NP … ? Thnx
This is great. It's one of the trips on my To-do List. It'd be nice to get some answers on this. I'm based in Nairobi - do a lot of offroading, and some nation-wide overlanding.
South Luangwa NP you have to enter at a Official Gate, the Lower Zambezi NP you can enter in the east without a Gate, (15°26'42.42"S 30°21'55.49"O), but you have to pay when you are driving out in the West main Gate
