So then you rly only need 140% right? And if using her sig lc thats another 60%, meaning you only need 80%. I forget how much break 2 pc shooting meteor gives but assuming with 2 pc meteor, trace, and sig lc, you're pretty close to the 160% already. Or am I thinking about it incorrectly?

I'm sooooo happy I won my 50/50 even if it was at 74 pity, I've been looking forward to her for so long! She's so so pretty and has really breathed some new life into the game for me. My E2 DHIL is eating even better now and I can't wait to use her with Blade/Jingliu dual DPS :D
that BE kill steal mechanic is like Kafka's ult w/ DoT. when doing dailies "use ult to deal final blow" kafka's ult triggers DoT, hence it's not the Ult that did the final blow, even tho the enemy is already dead w/o the DoT trigger
Thats kinda a non issues now because they changed how Dailies work in 1.6 to have 8 daily missions now and sometimes you can just fucking cheese an SU world 1 run to speed clear all of your dailies because there's a 500 point mission for clearing simulated universe once lel

If you can achieve a 3 turn rotation, you can build as much speed as you want and it won't impact your uptime because everything is based on her own turns. As long as she can skill every three of her turns her skill field will have maximum uptime. The only issue would be her Ult's tuning.
I somehow got Xueyi E6 while pulling for Ruan Mei and not getting a single Ting Yun, and am a little sad that RM seems to have antisynergy with Xueyi. Looking forward fo the xueyi guide.
I wasn't planning on getting Ruan Mei (I was pulling for Xueyi, and RM's animations didn't do it for me), but decided to go for her after Xueyi took 60+ pity to arrive. It is nice that she buffs basically all of my favorite team comps though.
Thx for the vid Really like the team comparison format, clear and informative. Wasn't planning on getting Ruan Mei but honestly the tipping point was the SU stuff, since I love that content. Honestly is some of the hardest content in the game so some juice helps

you only need 123% break effect. you get 37% from traces and 20% to all allies in battle (it soft caps at 180%). you can have a very speedy ruan mei as long as you get around 20% break effect subs on each relic. she is surprisingly easy to build

@@davethebiff its tied with her A6 pasive that convert her above 120% break effect to become dmg increase with 6% dmg per 10% Break effectnand cap at 180. and Ruan mei has another pasive that give all party 20% break effect while existing in battle.
With S2 memories you can get double skill 3t rotation and with S3 you get it from breaking once with 4pc thief. Not worth doing every time but for some cases can be useful.

For those with Memories that is not s5 (mine is s3), u can still achieve 3 turn ult without penacony/Von and just by ER rope, just by getting hit ONCE during the 3 turns.

Imo her sig is just luxury. It's not a bad pull, but it's not a must, especially with Cogs laying around, and in my opinion it's completely unnecessary if you have Memories S5
I was planning to pull on ruan mei bc her kit is amazing but sparkle is coming, and she would probably benefit more in my account I only have 50 so I can only choose one unless I am able to get more

16:30 I think Tingyun is still better than Ruan Mei in this situation because of her ult letting Jing Liu extend her enhanced state. I think Tingyun is better than Pela too in every situation other than buff stripping/dual dps set ups.
What's the thought for a Clara/Topaz team with Ruan Mei? I'm guessing there's still anti-synergy with the weakness break delaying more turns and not allowing Clara to FA where it will still be better to run other supports like Tingyun/Asta.
It's worth noting that Talia and Vonwacq are both from world 4, so the Penacony set is the least efficient one (unless you have a built Asta since she enables the other set from world 8)

Got her and she is veeeery useful, and obviously pretty ♥️. I even paired her with a E6 Jingliu from a friend (with my Fu Xuan and SW too) and enemies doesn't even get to breath every wave 💀. I'm planning in adding Yanqing in this team, since i got him trying to get Ruan E1. At least i have a guarantee for Sparkle now. @@guobacertified I just finished building her! Here is what I got, HP 4459 ATK 1605 DEF 1798 SPD 142 BRK EFFECT 143% (Without her A1 Passive) ERR 124.4% I am running her with 4 pc Hackerspace at the moment. with MotP S1. Kinda wish I had more MoTP Superimposition but it is what it is I guess.
11:14 I think the Slow/Vonwacq tech would actually work if you approach it like you would Fu Xuan and her technique. First turn you Basic, but on her second turn you refresh Fu Xuan’s barrier. Same thing w/ Ruan Mei: first turn Basic/Ult, second turn onward start your Skill > Basic > Basic rotation. That way your team is covered at the start of the second wave. I don’t think Ruan Mei’s technique is meant to completely negate the need to skill during the first wave, I think it’s just meant to relieve some of the team’s first turn SP costs.
The anti synergy with seele breaks my heart (no pun intended) however, i think with Ryan mei plus SW u can maybe take seele to fights with off-element mobs easier and that way seele won't break the mobs and have kills stolen. Not to mention, pairing SW with ruan mei means the bosses will literally disintegrate once seele looks at them since all that res pen across all 3 units combined would mean seele needs to hit them basically once and they're done which effectively removes the issue with offensive debuffers uptime. I would prefer if they patch this up tho since seele isn't the only unit that's affected by this.
I don't think the anti synergy with Seele will matter that much, it just seems like if Seele barely misses the kill and Ruan mei break kills it Seele won't get resurgence, but if Ruan Mei wasn't there the enemy wasn't dying and you were not getting resurgence anyway. Losing the ability to basic attack kill it on Seele's next turn for extra sp and more energy is a little annoying, but I don't think it will be a common enough occurrence to matter to much.
@@twigz3214 I disagree with the statement that the only reason seele can kill a quantum mob is ruan mei. Seele kills all quantum mobs in the game rn with her skill alone without major buffs (big buffing ults, def shred, etc. ) if built well with the only potential exception being swarm bugs. Which is why it sucks that ruan mei's break has prio over seele's own dmg but since that's how it's always worked ( kafka is an easy example of that ) It's not that big of a deal tho again, a change would be Nice but like gouba said it could be an intentional interaction.
@@shotgunshogun4707 I never said the only reason Seele can kill a quantum mob is with Ruan Mei? Mine can often one shot most quantum weak adds with skill fine, sometimes struggling in MoC 10. I just said it looked like Seele still gets resurgence if the skill would kill anyway without Ruan mei's break damage. If she takes it either way fair enough.
@@twigz3214 fair enough, I do think that seele breaks most quantum mobs regardless of kill or not since most of them have 2 toughness units which is why I'll need to test her once I can hop online to make sure of how it works exactly.
Did you see Sparkle's kit? She has extra quantum damage boost and will be absolutely broken with her! Fu Xuan, Bronya, Sparkle, Seele will be ridiculous and Seele will keep getting so many turns it's insane while giving SP to do it.

I have no Kafka, Jingliu, Blade and Jing Yuan on my account. So, I'm glad I dodged her while pulling for Xueyi. That kit is actually loaded and insane tho. hoyoverse making it seem like she's a must pull due to the recent SU updates.
I've also gladly pulled for Ruan Mei and got her in the 81 pity, though my real investment went to Huohuo with E1 and S1 LC since without her I've been dead 😅
Is having Clara and Seele enough for me to cover up my damage??, Mostly i have good support units on my acc(Fu Xuan E1, SW, Bronya E1 and Huo Huo). I dont know if Ruan mei could fit in.. but i really want her!. Not to mention i already have Blade in my other account.
4p wind set is hidden tech on Ruan for non sustain team due to how her delay work, the debuff still stack even if the field already exprire, so in theory u can delay enemies by 75% every break, making that u can reach dps check without worrying bout using a sustain and go 2 dps 1 debuffer/buffer + Ruan, ofc this come as a trade off for her ult windows for res pen/delay debuff apply to be a shorter windows
I’m viewing her as a luxury pull. Right now, I don’t see a need for her. She is super useful, but she doesn’t feel necessary anywhere. If I want to push for zero sustain teams, then she will be a fine addition to replace a sustain unit. For right now, I don’t see her as a necessity to make any teams work.

Well I lost both 50/50s going for her E1, but got a double of her on 2nd pull so she's E2 now lol.
Lost her to clara but Blade LC came with 11 pity, so gonna try to get her until the end of the banner
100 pulls I got: 1 Ruan Mei at soft pity, and e3 xueyi then her lightcone at 1st 10 pull then I had 20 pulls left and went broke and got Bailu's e1.

Imo her sig is just luxury. It's not a bad pull, but it's not a must, especially with Cogs laying around, and in my opinion it's completely unnecessary if you have Memories S5
Sorry for not replying! Her sig is best overall, with MOTP S5 being equal in power but not in comfort. S5 Cogs works similaryl if you have 160 BE :)
I was planning to pull on ruan mei bc her kit is amazing but sparkle is coming, and she would probably benefit more in my account I only have 50 so I can only choose one unless I am able to get more

160 break effect is crazy to achieve, i can barely get 130 when i get all her traces
u get 37 from traces and 20% be from her major trace. you only need 130~ since it soft caps at 180% (36% dmg bonus) this video is a bit misleading.

You can do it easy. Break effect sets are easy starter. Once you got those just farm a dif set if you want with BE sub stats

16:30 I think Tingyun is still better than Ruan Mei in this situation because of her ult letting Jing Liu extend her enhanced state. I think Tingyun is better than Pela too in every situation other than buff stripping/dual dps set ups.

If u run a slow bronya then extending jl enhanced states become less important, since u can get 2 stacks with in 1 turn

What's the thought for a Clara/Topaz team with Ruan Mei? I'm guessing there's still anti-synergy with the weakness break delaying more turns and not allowing Clara to FA where it will still be better to run other supports like Tingyun/Asta.
Yeah the Clara anti synergy with delays isnt great, but it can probably clear anyway lol

It's worth noting that Talia and Vonwacq are both from world 4, so the Penacony set is the least efficient one (unless you have a built Asta since she enables the other set from world 8)

I added ruan mei to my dual dps team! it’s fu xuan, ruan mei, topaz, and himeko. cleared MOC 11 on auto with it!
Does Ruan Mei's break delay increase Himeko's talent stack?
@@armanzakwan1898honestly I haven’t been paying attention LOL. probably not. regardless she’s well worth running for weakness break efficiency, I trigger himeko talent very often to keep speed buff from her E1

Got her and she is veeeery useful, and obviously pretty ♥️.
I even paired her with a E6 Jingliu from a friend (with my Fu Xuan and SW too) and enemies doesn't even get to breath every wave 💀.
I'm planning in adding Yanqing in this team, since i got him trying to get Ruan E1.
At least i have a guarantee for Sparkle now.

11:14 I think the Slow/Vonwacq tech would actually work if you approach it like you would Fu Xuan and her technique. First turn you Basic, but on her second turn you refresh Fu Xuan’s barrier. Same thing w/ Ruan Mei: first turn Basic/Ult, second turn onward start your Skill > Basic > Basic rotation. That way your team is covered at the start of the second wave.
I don’t think Ruan Mei’s technique is meant to completely negate the need to skill during the first wave, I think it’s just meant to relieve some of the team’s first turn SP costs.
The anti synergy with seele breaks my heart (no pun intended) however, i think with Ryan mei plus SW u can maybe take seele to fights with off-element mobs easier and that way seele won't break the mobs and have kills stolen. Not to mention, pairing SW with ruan mei means the bosses will literally disintegrate once seele looks at them since all that res pen across all 3 units combined would mean seele needs to hit them basically once and they're done which effectively removes the issue with offensive debuffers uptime. I would prefer if they patch this up tho since seele isn't the only unit that's affected by this.
I don't think the anti synergy with Seele will matter that much, it just seems like if Seele barely misses the kill and Ruan mei break kills it Seele won't get resurgence, but if Ruan Mei wasn't there the enemy wasn't dying and you were not getting resurgence anyway. Losing the ability to basic attack kill it on Seele's next turn for extra sp and more energy is a little annoying, but I don't think it will be a common enough occurrence to matter to much.
@@twigz3214 I disagree with the statement that the only reason seele can kill a quantum mob is ruan mei. Seele kills all quantum mobs in the game rn with her skill alone without major buffs (big buffing ults, def shred, etc. ) if built well with the only potential exception being swarm bugs. Which is why it sucks that ruan mei's break has prio over seele's own dmg but since that's how it's always worked ( kafka is an easy example of that ) It's not that big of a deal tho again, a change would be Nice but like gouba said it could be an intentional interaction.
@@shotgunshogun4707 I never said the only reason Seele can kill a quantum mob is with Ruan Mei? Mine can often one shot most quantum weak adds with skill fine, sometimes struggling in MoC 10. I just said it looked like Seele still gets resurgence if the skill would kill anyway without Ruan mei's break damage. If she takes it either way fair enough.
@@twigz3214 fair enough, I do think that seele breaks most quantum mobs regardless of kill or not since most of them have 2 toughness units which is why I'll need to test her once I can hop online to make sure of how it works exactly.
Did you see Sparkle's kit? She has extra quantum damage boost and will be absolutely broken with her! Fu Xuan, Bronya, Sparkle, Seele will be ridiculous and Seele will keep getting so many turns it's insane while giving SP to do it.

That kit is actually loaded and insane tho. hoyoverse making it seem like she's a must pull due to the recent SU updates.

The "kill steal" problem is already fixed, since I've been testing Ruan Mei with Seele and she never kill steal once (out of probably 20 tries)
I didn't have any of the recommended LC apart from cogs ... so I decided to do a 10 pull and ... got her signature LC ! :D

4p wind set is hidden tech on Ruan for non sustain team due to how her delay work, the debuff still stack even if the field already exprire, so in theory u can delay enemies by 75% every break, making that u can reach dps check without worrying bout using a sustain and go 2 dps 1 debuffer/buffer + Ruan, ofc this come as a trade off for her ult windows for res pen/delay debuff apply to be a shorter windows
I’m viewing her as a luxury pull. Right now, I don’t see a need for her. She is super useful, but she doesn’t feel necessary anywhere.
If I want to push for zero sustain teams, then she will be a fine addition to replace a sustain unit. For right now, I don’t see her as a necessity to make any teams work.

However, I'm a bit curious why you recommend 160% break effect when almost every other trustworthy tuber is recommending 180%? Is it just because you think it's too hard getting to that break point for what it's worth?
