Tips for your dental hygiene school interview✨🦷🧚🏻
Research the program: Understand the specifics of the program you're applying to, including its mission statement, curriculum, application process, acceptance rate.
Understand the profession: Be prepared to discuss why you've chosen dental hygiene as a career, your understanding of the role and its challenges, and how you envision your future in the field.
Practice common interview questions.
-Why do you want to become a dental hygienist?
-What are your strengths and weaknesses?
-How do you handle stress or difficult situations?
-What’s your plan if you don’t get into this program?
Demonstrate your communication skills. Being a dental hygienist requires communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work well with others. Be prepared to share examples from your experiences that highlight these qualities.
Dress in professional attire that is appropriate for an interview setting. It shows respect for the interviewers and demonstrates your seriousness about the program.
Be Authentic. It's important to prepare but it's equally important to be yourself. Your genuine passion for dental hygiene and your unique qualities can set you apart from other candidates.
After the interview, send a thank-you email to your interviewers expressing your appreciation for the opportunity to interview and reiterating your interest in the program.

@@ViktoriaKrupoderovathe interview went pretty well! I was nervous but the professors were so nice and funny too, it was only 30 minutes and it was virtual! They asked me questions I didn’t prepare for but I just took my time and answered honestly and the best I could. They mostly asked situational questions, to detect how students react to different situations! But overall great interview, I find out if I get accepted in May.
