I remember spending an entire day delivering office furniture working a double shift and on the way back to the warehouse, we found a KFC Buffet and it was like Christmas came early. It was the first time I’ve ever eaten so much KFC and been sober enough to remember it. That was a good day.
Seeing her eat pancakes as dessert made me realize that a lot of Americans just straight up have dessert for breakfast, what with some people eating danishes or donuts. The sweetest breakfast food I remember having in Taiwan or China was probably soymilk. Everything else seemed savory, whether it was pork buns, or baozi, or rice rolls (onigiri?), or onion pancakes, porridge...everything I can think of is savory and salty.
Most european countries have salty breakfasts aswell. Like the german one for example which consists of cheeses, meats, buttered bread and such. Or the hungarian breakfast which can start traditionally with "bundáskenyér" which, despite being considered a "french toast" by other cultures, is eaten as a salty breakfast item
I feel like the more people here (in Germany) eat neutral stuff like meuslis and sweet stuff like sweet cereals and milk bars (similar too chocolate bars) than actual hearty stuff. The eggs, cheese and meat breads are more like brunch on the weekends since it takes a little while to set up
uhh im not sure what you're trying to convey here. im taiwanese, and you know what is super popular as a breakfast food? fried donuts. hell, they even have a dish where it's a donut wrapped in glutinous rice. it's not sweet, sure, but the sheer amount of carbohydrates has practically more sugar than the standard crispy cream donut. onion pancakes are also unhealthy considering it's unleavened dough and pan fried, so it's pretty dense in starch. american obesity rates aren't because of its breakfast foods, it's from the convenience and low price of fast/junk food.
I live in Ohio, USA and KFC had buffets in select restaurants, I know, I ate at a few. KFC took the buffets out because of the lack of sales. This buffet is amazing compared to what I had, standard items and no soups.

Its really good but of course twice the price lol But if you have left overs we live to make rice maker chicken rice lol Just make about 3 cups of good rice (aka rinse and get ready) then use chicken broth or stock instead of water to the machine. Then add some onion and celery and carrot slices and mushrooms basically what you like veg wise then put your left over pieces of fried chicken on top. It works okay with just 2 but 4 is better and it works with up to 6. Close and run as normal Pull chicken bones out and i use scissors to chop the meat then stir and serve. Here in the US, KFC had buffets on weekends years ago but it was nothing like this! This video tops all the KFC dreams. But at least I have good memories of our family going after church, enjoying each other and the colonels secret recipe 😂
That buffet is expensive. Most people are not eating 24 dollars (cad) worth of fried chicken for lunch. But still nice to go for the experience! Also I wouldn’t pay extra for dinner prices as it is essentially the same things as lunch.
Look like greasiest food I ever saw and I run a Chinese restaurant in America for 25 year. They need to change their oil or fix the batter because no food should drip grease even if fried. I have fried thousand of wanton or egg roll and never seen this and I eat at many American place and never seen it this greasy. I know Japanese people think American people love grease but they are worse. I have been to Japan one time many years ago and yes, they like very greasy food not sure how they are not fat.
I'm always reminded of how popular KFC is in Asia when I watch these videos. And obviously of better quality than what we have in the US! Next time I go to Japan, I'll have to try it out and see if it underwhelms me the way Japanese McDonald's did, if I'm honest. (I liked Mos Burger more in that realm)

Getting nostalgic thinking about the KFC Buffet Dinners I had with my family after school, this was quite a few years ago and now they removed all the buffets 😢 I can still taste the chocolate pudding they used to serve lmaooo
Its rare but you do have them here in the US. But the last ones ended a long time ago where I used to live. When I was in middle school, there was a local KFC that had an All You Can Eat. The problem was people wouldn't stop at just a few plates. They would sit there for hours to eat chicken. Eventually they proposed limits on time, then on pieces, then it was no more buffet. Us kids would pay $8 and eat after school there sometimes. They brought it back again and then it was just lack of sales, no one wanted the buffet anymore and at that point it just wasnt profitable. A shame because it was really nice to be able to get what kinda chicken you want and the sides.
I wish we had KFC buffets here in the US! Too bad there wasn't any extra crispy. That's the only type I eat. But I love that you got thighs- that's my favorite part of the chicken! I hadn't heard of chicken rib meat before- that's interesting!
We used to, but the concept didn’t go as well as it should’ve been. They were trying to beat Grandy’s at their own game. Too bad that Grandy’s went away, too. ☹️ They had some good dinner rolls. 😋
It would be expensive here. Even in Japan it seemed kinda pricey and they're usually pretty reasonable than America when it comes to food. She said the lunch buffet was $33.16 for two people and that was just the lunch price.
Yeah we used to have them. Didnt know they were gone. We had a KFC buffet a town over when I was in school in. I went once or twice and it was so good. And I don't even really like KFC that much.
There still all you can eat kfc but there only 3 in us one in Canada Pigeon Forge , Tennessee; Louisville, Kentucky; Waynesboro, Virginia; and Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada
My friends and I once did a KFC buffet in the 90's. We ate so much we all were literally going to get sick. We all vowed that day to never go to any buffet again. It was about a decade before I did another buffet. I have to admit, the KFC buffet back in 1997 was solid.
Amazing. Sadly I don't think KFC in the UK is quite so imaginative as they are in Japan. I suspect any Japanese visitors to our KFC outlets must end up being somewhat disappointed. I can only dream of something like this opening here, but I am not holding my breath while I wait. Still the city nearest my home has imported and installed a Japanese Pizza vending machine (the only one in the UK) so I suppose it is possible.
On the upside from other reviews I've seen you still have the old fashioned fish and chips places. I'd like to have a go, in the unlikely event I ever travel that far.
Not just KFC...visitors from other 1st world countries must be generally disappointed by what we offer in the UK...apart from the sights and old buildings in London.
it's one of the only things I don't miss about japanese buffets: the time limits. I can eat quickly but I would so much rather eat slowly and breathe in between bites :(
I recently went to an expensive ($54.99) buffet with friends here in Canada, and was shocked that it had a time limit, so maybe those are creeping into Western buffets as well. Or maybe it depends on how fancy it is, so you can't blow through the buffet's price worth of their best food. Still, the time limit was 90 minutes, so we weren't exactly pressed for time. We were all done eating well before that.
Looks delicious and like the floats…nice green with ice cream and coke with ice cream = floats. And curious about the curry soup nice to try that one.. You enjoyed
We don’t see you doing the review anymore, the cute Dancing Bacons girl! Really enjoyed you doing it! And loved your bright eyes and lovely smile! Cheers for you!!!!
You can have a chicken allergy? I didn't know this until right at this second are you sure it's the chicken itself and not something in it? Maybe you still can enjoy your favorite foods
On the plus side, quality has declined as cost cutting increases, so it will always be best in your memory. You can be glad for the times you did have it 😊
Not at $35.00 for a buffet! Are you all crazy! I wonder if you all ever contribute to your retirement fund! That kind of expense for one meal is lunacy!
In 1999 our local KFC had all you can eat buffets. 5 dollars for college students on Thursday’s. I have a very clear memory of my roommate with his backpack lined with a plastic grocery bag, pouring gray directly In To the bag/ his backpack off his plate. Yeah, it was all you can eat. Until next Thursday. 😂😂😂
Back in the early 2000's we had a KFC Buffet here in Daytona Beach. I used to go there once a week. I knew it wasn't going to last long on seeing how people eat. I sure miss it but in today's high price fast food maybe just as well.
In America there is KFC buffet like that. It is paper plates with no pasta. Oh and If you are having Ice Tea it has to be Sweet Tea that is the south. I love watching all of your videos and hope to one day make it Japan to see all of the cool vending machines.
I remember, in the early & mid 1990's, there were KFC's in Connecticut with an all-you-can-eat deal. The hours allotted were limited & the space to lay out the feast was limited. This is when the Chinese buffets began opening up along with a couple of Hometown Buffets. If memory serves me correct, the lunchtime price was $3.99 for lunch and a dollar for the soda.
yum...liked buffet idea, I remember when Wendy's hamburger fast food did a salad bar in the 80s. Mashed potatoes and gravy at KFC US is really classic side.
I remember realising the kfc buffets as a kid and go there from time to time, especially when theres a kids price for the buffet. It was too good, which is ironic because why we dont have them in the states was lack of sales
The Modesto, California, USA location used to have a buffet. I ate there, twice, and it was a heck of a deal for the price. Great group of folks working there. They were incredibly professional and polite. So much so that it shocked me!
We have one in Hemet California of all places 🙃 it's really good I enjoyed it couldn't believe it when I stumbled across it never heard of such a thing it's been there for a while

hi! I guess that i am the devil because i was hoping that you would trick Mrs. Bacon with your famous sneaky drink mixture of all flavors. Watching her reaction is, as always, priceless. Many years ago, I was on a tour of Mexico and was dying for some American food. I was in the beautiful resort town of Mazatlan. I found a KFC there and rushed in. I ordered my usual 3 piece original meal w/sides and was very disappointed. It really didn't taste like KFC from home at all. I am terribly interested to do a taste testing with your KFC vs our KFC. Do you mind if I tag along next time? lol!
It looked very good . But looked kind of like slim pickings when you made your first trip through. Can’t beat a good piece of fried chicken. what to hey it’s a buffet . Grab 2 pieces of chicken the 2nd time. Darn good looking desserts. Very interesting love the channel.

Not just KFC...visitors from other 1st world countries must be generally disappointed by what we offer in the UK...apart from the sights and old buildings in London.
where i grew up. every kfc was a buffet. every day of the week. every single kfc i ever went to was a buffet. i miss it.
33dollars for a KFC buffet is an amazing deal! But, i think just two chicken thighs and i would be full.
two chicken thighs ? what are you a midget?
Wow! Full sized chicken pieces. A few years ago, they started chopping the pieces in half, so you get less total chicken.
A long time ago I also came across an all-you-can-eat KFC buffet in the US, not nearly as many items as this though, nor as expensive.
My brother and I stopped at one on North Carolina late at night and it was ghetto and disgusting. We settled for gas station food instead. 🤷♂️
I grew up in the Charlotte, NC area - we had SEVERAL KFC buffets. Truly one of my fav places on a week night as a kid.
it's one of the only things I don't miss about japanese buffets: the time limits.
You enjoyed
The special curry soup sounds really nice to dip the chicken in! I bet it helps cut through the saltiness a lot!
So dipping greasy salty food into greasy salty food cuts the salt?
I love your channel, I,m originally from the Netherlands but living in Indiana since 5 years🤘🏼🤩love your sweet food journeys
The food looks so good!
I saw they were loading up on carbs first thing at a buffet and instinctively went
"BACONS, NOOO-"
We don’t see you doing the review anymore, the cute Dancing Bacons girl! Really enjoyed you doing it! And loved your bright eyes and lovely smile! Cheers for you!!!!
I am SO jealous. Got chicken allergies later in life and now I can't have my favorite KFC anymore so ENJOY THAT FOR ME, BACONS!
You can have a chicken allergy? I didn't know this until right at this second are you sure it's the chicken itself and not something in it? Maybe you still can enjoy your favorite foods
On the plus side, quality has declined as cost cutting increases, so it will always be best in your memory. You can be glad for the times you did have it 😊
Looks pretty good honestly. But what happens at 80 mins or 90s mins? Do they come in with guns and kick you out? 😂
They should make a place like this in the states, I'm sure would be really popular
They used to have KFC Buffets in the US, but they all closed down for one reason or another a long time ago. I think there's still one in Canada.
4 still exist in USA/Canada going by Mashed
They used to have one in Northern California that I ate at in the 90’s. It was really good.
They have KFC all-you-can-eat buffets in the US.
@@ohnosmoarlulcatzNo they didn't. There are still several in the US.
👍 Great video ! I've never seen a all you can eat KFC buffet .
All-You-Can-Eat KFC Buffet.
Proceeds to grab a bunch of Carbs. Buffet Noobs. Shameful. :)
We could sure use a KFC all you can eat buffet here in the US!!! Love your channel!
Most KFC's in the U.S. used to have them but they never seemed to be very popular.
@@roger0929 we don't have the KFC buffet in Canada unfortunately
Not at $35.00 for a buffet! Are you all crazy! I wonder if you all ever contribute to your retirement fund! That kind of expense for one meal is lunacy!
We have them. There are several.
Looks pretty bad and nasty if you ask me... bleh.... those trays were mostly empty too... cold, old food... yuk!
6:05 you can hear P!nk singing in the background .🎉 love dancing bacon video. 🥓
OMGOODNESS! Everything looks so good! We used to have a KFC 🍗 buffet 😋. Right after covid, the whole store closed 😢😢😢😢.
Food looks pretty sad
In 1999 our local KFC had all you can eat buffets. 5 dollars for college students on Thursday’s.
I have a very clear memory of my roommate with his backpack lined with a plastic grocery bag, pouring gray directly In To the bag/ his backpack off his plate. Yeah, it was all you can eat. Until next Thursday. 😂😂😂
The drinks mixed with ice cream is genius!
I remember that back in the 90s. They don’t offer that anymore.
Back in the early 2000's we had a KFC Buffet here in Daytona Beach. I used to go there once a week. I knew it wasn't going to last long on seeing how people eat. I sure miss it but in today's high price fast food maybe just as well.
Nice buffet, I love KFC! Hello from Toronto
They used to have a buffet in their restaurant in Augusta Maine i loved it 😊
In America there is KFC buffet like that.
I like how you mix different sodas in one glass, never seen this in my country :)
There is a KFC buffet a couple of blocks from my home. Have been there maybe half a dozen times. Was tasty & filling, but NOTHING so extravagant!
There used to be a KFC Buffet in Morton Illinois, they advertised it on the sign and my buddies and I got baked and went. So good
I am so jealous right now, buttered rice, candied french fries in an all you can eat KFC buffet?? As an American we dont have anything over here.
I live in Arizona I used to love going to the kfc all you can eat they’re all gone now.
Processed chicken, most likely soy and other fillers in the nuggets, and a lot of salt and other herbs/spices, makes them taste great :)
yum...liked buffet idea, I remember when Wendy's hamburger fast food did a salad bar in the 80s.
Mashed potatoes and gravy at KFC US is really classic side.
Abit like Singapore's Sengkang Grand Mall. 😊👍 The mall which the KFC buffet restaurant you were at in Japan is located at.
Loved the video, Mrs. Bacon looks really beautiful!
I remember realising the kfc buffets as a kid and go there from time to time, especially when theres a kids price for the buffet. It was too good, which is ironic because why we dont have them in the states was lack of sales
OMG watching this at 3am+ made me hungry, how i wish we have this in Singapore
The Modesto, California, USA location used to have a buffet. I ate there, twice, and it was a heck of a deal for the price. Great group of folks working there. They were incredibly professional and polite. So much so that it shocked me!
I'm just curious, does KFC in Japan not offer gravy to be paired with the fried chicken?
great video, no such KFC in UK. I had all you can eat KFC Buffet in Dubai
I used to LOOOVE the KFC buffet. I don’t even know the last time I saw one. It was way before the pandemic, I know that.
We have one in Hemet California of all places 🙃 it's really good I enjoyed it couldn't believe it when I stumbled across it never heard of such a thing it's been there for a while
The "plastic display food" industry is alive and well and living in Japan!!! You do, of course, realize that Ms. Bacons has now become like your Vanna White? Like the lovely model doing an intro to the food? It's fantastic!
Do you mind if I tag along next time? lol!
This is awesome. This would be great for Jamaica..😊
It looked very good . But looked kind of like slim pickings when you made your first trip through. Can’t beat a good piece of fried chicken. what to hey it’s a buffet . Grab 2 pieces of chicken the 2nd time. Darn good looking desserts. Very interesting love the channel.
Thanks for another fun vid DB!
