You guys must not played arcade nfs. Drift by hitting double gas button look smoother than coming to almost complete stop . (The arcade version made you do a wheelie). But great video 👌🏼

The technique is Diferent and it is more difficult but it is still drifting. Especially if the drift is put in motion before the apex of the corner.
A power slide is just a slide and is typically done after the apex to shoot traction after a burst of overssteer.
