Carli Lloyd scored the USWNT's 1st of 2 goals but the fans in Montreal can ever forget for all this lead up to in Vancouver where she scored a hat trick and the 2nd player of any gender to do so in a senior level world cup final game itself

This is my favorite game from the 2015 world cup. I remember feeling like the German team was a brick wall that we needed all the luck in the world to defeat. It was an amazing and dynamic game that kept me on my toes the whole time. I feel the excitement every time I watch it. KO's goal is the icing on the cake of this exciting game! I believe that we will win every time! :)

All of these past World Cup matches r more than comfortable during times to stay at home.
The end of an era for Germany team. Unstoppable in 2003 and 2007 but fallen in Germany and Canada. But still Angerer will always be legendary shot stopper like oliver kahn for men football.
I watched this game live from the stadium, I'll never forget how the entire stadium erupted when Sasic missed the penalty. Amazing memories :)

When I watch these World Cup games from 2015 and backward, I realize how little I knew about the USWNT and the players themselves... Like, I didn’t even know most of their names😂😂 All I knew was that we won and it was tense... So happy I live in a country where I can rewatch awesome soccer and learn about the game more and more ( not to be all mushy and stuff )⚽️⚽️⚽️

How much the head referee let go allowed both teams to think they could be more and more physical. Referees don't control games and that is a major problem in soccer
This was the best-played match by the USA in this tournament. They may have scored 5 goals in the final, but that is what makes it hard to judge how much effort did the Japanese force the US to use.

Until officiating becomes consistent. soccer will have it weaknesses. There also need to be more than 3 referees in a game. As long as rule application is at the whim of the officials and not applied as the rules of the game, soccer will not be as accepted as people want it to be.
