It is observed a large number of people are unskilled. Many of them are stressed with the health care facilities, education, unemployment making their survival difficult. They could not maintain their livelihood due to their low income. Therefore, it is very important to explore the socio-economic status of these areas concerning their demography, occupational structure, education, employment, income, housing characteristics, and Government schemes.
There are many natural resources available to use in their sustainable livelihood development. Therefore, in this paper an attempt has been made to analyze the socio-economic condition of Kumauni region.
