Pixel for photos, iPhone for videos, nothing new. I think HDR makes the Pixel's video noisier and the iPhone's stabilization shakier, I was a little disappointed seeing how you didn't test the video without HDR but it's good seeing you back, I was worrying and even checked your social medias 😅
Well, this year it is not the case. I would say 50% - 50%. Sometimes is iPhone better and sometimes, Pixel shows it strength. For example, Portrait Mode is better on iPhone, even though, it is a bit too yellow, but it is not that crazy over-sharp as Pixel did. The night mode, which was also easy victory for Pixel is not that good. Sometimes I do prefer Pixel and sometimes iPhone is doing better job. When we are talking about Zoom, It is also not that simple. I have not noticed any big difference between them both up to 10 times. After it, Pixel wins. But again, 15x I would say 60% Pixel 40 iPhone. Only after 15x it is possible to say that Pixel takes it easily. On the other hand, I am not sure that 30x Zoom is that good to use it all the time. During the sunny day it should be good, but what about evening or a very cloudy day ... So this year I would say iPhone takes it (55%-45% or 60% - 40%). If Apple will make the same jump every year, next iPhone will win in every category.
@@GrantLikesTech I guess the break worth it, you look healthier in this video the daytime videos had HDR on when you tested the telephoto lenses, autofocus on the post, and ran to test the stabilization in 4k30 FPS. All the low light videos, front and rear cameras had HDR on.
Awesome as always Grant. I find that the daylight video is more consistent outdoors on the iPhone but they are both good. I like how the iPhone handles night video noise better but what's strange is in a dark indoor room I then prefer Pixel when it comes to noise. I don't think you can go wrong either way.
Thanks Barry, always appreciate your support and opinions on these videos. I'm sure the Pixel video noise at night can be reduced by lowering the exposure slider, but that ultra wide was rough.
selfies on the pixel look SO much better wow. same with night shots they're WAY ahead, iPhone wins most of the video but pixel wins overall, photos matter more
Missed these videos, man. Glad you’re back and appreciate what you bring to the table. The Pixel 7 Pro looks like it’s giving the iPhone 14 Pro a serious run for its money. I have the standard Pixel 7 and love it! I don’t really use telephoto and prefer the smaller form factor
Very nice an pleasant comparison as always 👌I had the Pixel 6 Pro and now the 7 Pro, everything is generally better on the new one except the X5 zoom which is less sharp and detailed than the X4 of the 6 Pro, however it seems to me a little better for the longer zoom
Hey there! One question to you, as you did "Main camera shots" at the beggining, you compared Pixel JPEG vs iPhone JPEG.. or it is rather Pixel JPEG vs iPhone RAW? It feels like you used 50 mpx of Pixel vs 12 mpx iPhone by the details. Good comparison btw! Keep doing 100% crop it's so important 🙏🙏
The best camera comparisaon. Thank you. For the money the pixel 7 pro is the best phone money can buy. I hope they will augment the charging speed and battery backup.

Thanks, doing fine just needed a break. Just FYI, I did show with and without HDR in the outdoor video test.

@@GrantLikesTech You are welcome. Yes, I adjust the slider but I kind of wish it defaulted lower. Great point about the ultra-wide.
The P7P is growing on me....really nice for more-natural nature and that 15x is looking sweet !

Subscribed ... Nice content 👍

Good compression video you made. Can you make a compression video on Google Pixel 7 and Apple i phone 13

Excellent review as always. Pixel easily keeps up with iphone, it seems. Audio capture is better to my ears as well! Who knew...
Thanks, Pixel's speech enhancement is definitely WAY better.

Appreciate your breakdown. Smartphone cameras are so good at this point many of these comparisons will go back and forth.
Google video Sound Audio good 👍
Next pls p6p vs p7p
Will get to it eventualy
The Pixel is amazing, and cheaper too!
Next time Pixel 7 pro vs Galaxy S22+/22Ultra.
Will eventually get to it
BIAS
It's basically going back and forth between these two phones...
Not seeing a real winner here.
Me too, normally it wasn't like that before. Apple did a good job with the new camera sensors.
the iphones makes u look like u got covid
missing my pixel, got stolen
sorry to hear that
Low light pixel video is horrin
Damn, my V60 after almost 3 years beats these new phones... 😂
