    We always used to travel in the off season to avoid crowds. Upside was accommodation and attractions were cheaper. Downside was occasionally places/facilities were closed, but that was a small price to pay for the overall benefits and enjoyment we experienced along the way. Such gorgeous views where you are. Happy & safe travels :-)

      +Sandra's Stitches We love traveling off season.... however we get Brian's kids in the summer so it doesn't leave us much choice but to travel in the summer. Hate it, but love the experiences with the kids so its worth it :-D

    Nice job of covering the campground. It's always nice to see and hear what others have to say about a place.

    Another great video with more amazing views! Thanks guys.
    Question from a soon to be RVer. Do a lot of people use the showers at the parks? I just alway thought they'd use their own in their RV if they have them.

      @SpotTheScotts  8 лет назад +1

      +Michelle Fichter It really depends. Typically the people in smaller trailers use the park facilities because it's more comfortable than squeezing into the little ones. Then there's the fact of having such small hot water tanks in your RV's. For example if Brian and I both have to get ready, we can't take showers back to back so one of us will shower inside and one will shower in the park showers. Or when Brian gets heacaches and wants to just stand in the shower for longer. We can only take about a 10 min shower maximum in ours before the water runs cold. You can get a tankless water heater but they are also pricey.

      +Michelle Fichter We do mostly state parks, and have a 26' travel trailer. I would say for the most part if the shower facilities are decent (clean, hot enough water, large enough shower stall) we'll use theirs. But sometimes the shower building is too far away, or raining or cold outside we'll use ours which is rather small, but sure is nice to hop in the shower and then into your comfy jammies. I would say over the years I see more people not using campgrounds showers. Maybe their not taking showers?

    Thanks so much for sharing, this is now on our bucket list ! one question, they do allow pets, just keep them on a leash ? We plan on taking our cats but wouldn't let them out of the trailer except for walks. Great vlog which is terrible, we're waiting on our build so we can hit the road and this just makes me even more impatient !

      +Marcia Tippett Yes, we had a dog and cat with us. I am anxious for you also!!

    Awesome campground. What's that huge building sort of behind and up the hill of Mavis. Thank you for sharing.

      It's a lodge that people can stay at. Non RVers :)

    I see their rate is $38 a night (2 people) (April - Oct) for full service. I think for Colorado that is cheaper than most, but your not near any cities.

      +jay super That's true, no cities close by. I'm surprised it's not higher though being right next to the national park!
