Located in Panjim, Fontainhas, also known as Goa’s Latin Quarter, is flanked by an ancient creek called Ourem Creek to the east and the Altinho hills with springs to the west. Many tourists eschew this heritage colony for the spectacular beaches and waves of Goa’s coastline, but its colorful and fascinating sights are more than worth visiting.

Hello Moses, Latin usually refers to the language used by Romans, in today's context it is usually referred to someone from the South American continent.
Though the Portuguese colonized Goa and parts of Brazil, it hardly merits Fontainhas to be referred as Latin quarters.

This is such a beautiful video, so full of history, architecture and colors. You almost want to go there immediately and just wander around the small lanes and bylanes of Fontainhas . I have heard a lot about Vinite and how good the food and ambiance it offers - would want to try it out some day . Joseph bar has that tremendous old world charm about it --- so simple , yet so magically attractive. How does the People's Lager taste like....haven't had it as yet 😋😀 And talking of Pousada , I think it means an "inn" and some hotels and guest houses are named on it. In fact there is a high end but excellent shack cum restaurant & bar in Calangute at the bottom of the Holiday Street besides Flying Dolphin shack which is called Pousada by the Beach ... run by a father and son --- expensive but very good !! Moses, I thoroughly enjoyed this video , thank you👌👌🙏
Vinite is something to try. Really good quality food and not so expensive. Joseph bar is somewhere you can make friends every time you go. There hasn't been a single time I've been there Without making new friends. People's is nice not so strong. And yes I know the son was with me last night for a party. (owner of the high end shack)

beaches are open even now. September it rains in between. October is best as everything is open
