I would have never thought of checking the internal coax and So-239 connector, but that’s the reason why you’re the technician and I’m just a radio operator. Great job yet again Ground Control, you have been setting the bar, and I love that you show your work and converse with us as well, the tides have shifted my friend, your tech channel is leading the pack.
Sweet sounding and awesome looking radio. You did that old Cobra a righteous resurrection. Details iron out the derails. Most E Bay's radios are going to cost you more than their exuberant prices when you find out they don't work right, or not at all. 73 😑🦗
Over the past week or so I've unsub'd from several so-called "tech channels". Now I'm down to only three with this channel at the top of my list after learning to watch the o'scope first with the watt meter in the peripheral. Great work Mike. 👉🗣️🎙️👈
Hey sir I looking for advice I've been watching your channel for a bit I love my question is I have 4 cobra 148s all made different places, Malaysia Thailand china and one in Taiwan Soo far my favorite is my soundtracker made in Thailand , question their faces are like dirty or gummed up or something. What can I clean their faces with without damaging them.
Click 29:36, found the issue with high SWR & reflect. One of the most important correction’s of this video.
Wow, good job at finding the problem with all that previous reflected power. Your work is superb sir.
