The binding of Isaac is one of the most saddest games i've ever seen, you have this innocent 5 year kid being abused, being told lies from a dogma (the Christian broadcasts his mother watched when his dad left) and then locking himself in the chest, and having to go through it all again (by Isaac appearing out of the chest from deliriums ending) and for the entire game, Isaac imagines his father still reading to him his story (the entire game except for the endings) what a sad game, and people criticize it for "hating Christians" when Edmund himself grew up in an abusive Christian household.

What really happened was Isaac think he started there parents divorcing so with all his guilt he thinks he's a demon and goes inside his chest when his mom tried to find him she couldn't she calls the cops for a missing child report and there's two ending that happen first one Isaac died to suffocation or hunger and thirst. Erm actually, most of the event of thoi are all apart of Isaac's imagination as he dies in his toy chest. Therefore anything after his mom steals his stuff and chases him into his chest isn't real. That would approximately remove over 70% of the "lore"
