- What are the retroperitoneal organs? What does it mean if a structure is a primary retroperitoneal structure or a secondary retroperitoneal structure? Where is the retroperitoneal space?

Doctor, I am following you from Iraq. I am a medical student. You are the best doctor I have ever seen
Check out 'Ninja Nerd"... He's great too...
Wow,I am also from Iraq
Thank you so much for making this video. Really clear and easy to understand. I am an acupuncturist. This really helps with my research into the connection between embryological development and adult body in the Chinese medicine context.
I LOVE IT WHEN YOU ADD A LITTLE BIT OF EMBRYOLOGYYYYYYYYY
Thank you! None of the instructors were ever able to explain to us what was the pertitoneum and what was retroperitoneal. This video cleared it up very well. Much, much appreciated!
Imagine the genuine genius behind the design of these structures.
The athlete on the field can preform amazingly and not give a thought to what makes it all possible.
Every cell in it’s place and purpose for a lifetime of function.
The various systems in perfect harmony with each other.
It amazes me how the heart can bring the blood back up from the feet and lower legs against gravity and up to brain simultaneously.
Indeed! Now imagine a mindless, purposeless selection process designing all this.
So interesting. I'm a manual therapist and do a lot of visceral work with clients, these vids really help with visualizing what's going on under my hands! Thanks so much.
Sir, You are such a great teacher. And narrator. Even the already known things just make more sense now. Thank You! FYI You have a subscriber - medical student in Latvia ❤ greetings from Baltics!
Wow. In 1964 I was hit in the stomach by a class mate's elbow as we tried to catch a fly ball. 24 hours later I had exploratory surgery to remove a blood clot the size of a grapefruit. Doctors diagnosed a retro peritoneal hemorrhage. I never really knew where they had to dig to repair the tear.
Thanks for this vid. I suffer from retroperitoneal fibroses as from 2019. The fibroses were around the aorta and blocked the left ureter causing damaged to my left kidney. This led to shrinking of the left kidney. Now kidney function is 33 only and will probably never rise as kudney damage is irreversible. The vid showed the retroperitoneum so clearly.
This is extremely helpful for my general surgery rotation! Thanks Doc
My first time catching this “live” and I’m so hype!
That was very brave Professor. You really needed the guts to make this video 😅
✨💞💛🌹 p.p.S I did understand EVeRY word you said, and what it implied to the human body,
✨💞💛🩵🌹 EXCELLENT JOB!!!!
❤
Thank you doctor, I would appreciate it if you talked about the Retroperitoneal Fibrosis RPF “IGG4” disease. Very rare disease and few doctors can handle the patient.
Good ol' cling film! Missed dearly.
Niceee Sir GREAT 😍😍
Very well explained. Thanks.
thank you! That was brilliant!
Great video ❤
Please teach more about how the heart works
Great class!
Thank you Doc...
First viewer dear sir ❤😊😊
Thank you
♥️
🙏🙏👍
Sam, what does "investing" mean in anatomy? How does this relate to investing in finance?
I have a question, are there areas on the internal abdominal wall that are not lined by peritoneum and therefore some organs (eg. the kidneys) come in direct contact with the muscles of the abdominal wall (by muscle I mean it's fascia) ?
Yes, the kidneys, for example, are surrounded by renal fascia.
nice
