- This chart shows the historical backtest of the social risk gauge shown on the Homepage and the Indicator Dashboard. The legend allows you to toggle between the individual risk charts that make up the total social risk. Above the chart you can set the weights of the individual risk metrics and see how it changes the total social risk. A weight of 0 removes the metric from the total social risk calculation and a weight of 0.5 makes it contribute 50% less. After the total social risk is calculated, the metric is re-normalized between 0 and 1. To display the true average you can toggle to the "Average" option above the chart.

Yes, would love to see that too. I think the risk of a regional war breaking out is quite high now, and I think it would herald in the next bear market. At this point, it's a matter of when, not if for me. Hopefully we can get a decent run in before they decide to kick off 😬

I’ve been casually mentioning crypto to girls I’m dating. One asked “oh didn’t that crash a while ago?” And the other said she lost 50K in Blockfi and swore off crypto forever. This current run up is still very early and retail has not bought back in yet!
What if Retail doesn't come reaĺly back like in times before, bcz BTC is too high for most of them and not all will just buy Satoshis, if they no more able to afford a full BTC. And the other thing is that a lot of people struggle with their lifes and bills. There's a lack of cash with those people. What you think ?

That’s the point, during QT where interest rates are high, the majority of people can’t afford to be putting money into speculate digital assets. It’s only when QE arrives that retail really comes back

The important question is WHY Bitcoin is going down.
The answer: markets shunning risk
Everything else is more risky, and therefore sells off more, which drives liquidity to Bitcoin.
Same thing happening to USD / Forex currency pairs. DXY to the moon, lol

I for example that came into market back in 2021, have seen a considerable decline in these "mainstream " crypto channels in my feed.... I wonder if more people can relate.

Same with his “Altcoins bleed against bitcoin” he’s talking about the entire alt market which is not what we do. We pick new coins with hit narratives and outpace BTC more often than not. A lot of us (not me) are already up 10x since Jan 2023. I take what Ben says with a grain of salt but he is a source of sanity in a crazy market.
New RUclipsrs are not likely to have hundreds of thousands of followers. Doubt it will make a dent. More likely that existing viewers will be the only ones looking at these channels for now

I would argue that Bitcoins dominance is never purely up because of one specific factor
All your non crypto friends have such a small impact on it compared to the miners who control the supply and hold a very large amount of the coins.
