  • There are fewer and fewer medicine people. There are reports of medicine men charging exorbitant amounts of money.
This practice was not encouraged in the traditional way.
People can bless their own families.
In this video... Navajo Historian, Wally Brown, explains how that process was done in the traditional way. And what it meant to be a medicine person.
    Enjoy the video.

I found that people who need a medicine man, can be one... The people who want a medicine man, will disobey the medicine man sometimes.. That brings too many bad things. Best to make your relationship with the holy people and mother nature. So if someone needs your help, then you may be there for them. Thank you Wally, for sharing this with everyone!

@@scottapache5041 Been a disaster since the implementation of the Prussian Model, designed to keep us stupid and obedient on purpose, as compliant factory workers. Rockefeller helped to bring it over because he saw a system for serving an industrialized military aristocracy as being even better for an industrialized America. It's why they keep age groups as segregated as they do, so that they are delayed and dependent on authority figures for instruction, so they won't talk back to their supervisors and managers.
The system no longer has an industrial economy to feed, and the people who planned it that way are long gone. It has not adapted, just failure after failure to reform the system by people who grew up in it and don't realize the system was intentionally broken from the start.

That's because the American education system, as it was reinvented in the 20th century, was designed to shape children into workers and warriors, people who are just smart enough to follow instructions and not smart enough to question whether or not they should. The school system is rigged to make excellent students into time-wasters and poor students into poor students with misleading "qualifications." Mediocrity is taught to the masses while the wealthy hire private tutors for their own children. It's all a big scam.

I agree. Though I don't think capitalism is the problem, especially if there are bills to be paid these days. Work for yourself, provide a service for others, and make some profit to live. That's why money was formed, a form of trade when the other person doesn't have anything you Need. If they make tables, and you have too many tables for example. The problem is unchecked capitalism which leads to corporatism, monopolism, and greed. Greed is the problem. Price gouging and over charging for medicine under this "privatized" system with little government/'we the people' oversight and no price caps on gouging. Like Michael Moore showed in his documentary, "Sicko."
For a proper universal health care system first we must bring the greed inflated costs down. After that, then we can get everyone covered. Maybe even have some taxes left over considering how bad people are still being gouged for medicine in the US. It costs an arm to save a leg.

If the healers that charge very little would also attract the beancounters, it would not be fair towards the less affluent who are already closer to the root teachings.
All aspects of life itself are always offering themselves as teacher, and the truth heals by setting us free from what torments our soul.
