I haven't fully watched the video but straight up, I'm a proud owner of this pedal and it sounds killer running through my Ampeg BA-115 and my Cozart strat! Great pedal!
Caline have some great pedals! The Pure Sky and Orange Burst are awesome and stack like gangbusters. I reckon their "Puffer" is the best Fuzz they make, although this is a totally decent Muff-style. Reminds me of the EHX Bass Big Muff a bit.
3:08 Not all fuzzes clean up when you roll back your guitar's volume. It depends on the circuit. The fuzzes that respond to gain and dynamic changes have germanium transistors as opposed to silicon ones (or op amps) and they have fewer.
Completely agree need an expression pedal on that tone control. Also not sure made much difference past 12 o’clock position on the Fuzz control but a great amount of power that works across all pick up types. Like it works well 😎
Sounds good guys. I compare all fuzzes like that to the Big Muff right away. It could have started with a Big Muff circuit, but not 100% sure what it's based on? The tone range seems wide and useable. Not bad.
.. thanks for doing the all-knobs-maxed demo; there are RUclipsrs who avoid doing that .. its as if guitar pedals are known to explode in your face if you maxed the knobs or something .. jeez
@@TSFAHTPSthe knobs maxed actually let you know what the circuit does. Obviously you might not use it that way but what normal person doesn’t want to know what their gear actually does?
I had one but I found the sustain and lows weak. It is all mids and harsh in a nasty way. I hate to say it but it isn't a good sub for a real Muff. The E-H Big Muff Ram's Head is killer match to the original and at $109.00 USD it is not gourmet money. Add to that it is serious keeper that never needs to pushed off your board later for something better.
Fuzz usually goes before most if not everything but there are reasons and exceptions. Experimenting is the best way to find out what works for you and with your setup. That being said I place all my octave pedals before fuzz. I like how that works and sounds but that’s just my preference.
@@TSFAHTPS for some reason i thought i caught a nz ascent. ended up buying one of these after watching. excited to hear how itl sound on a plug in acoustic bass

Certainly sounds more usable than most

Sounds really good. It definitely seems to be more of a Muff circuit. Probably why it doesn't clean up as well with the volume trick.
Not too harsh for a fuzz nice playing as usual guy’s!🙂

I think M indicates Muff and it seems to have that tone
Mine must be defective. The fuzz part sounds good but it also has an annoying scratchy vinyl record sound that shouldn't be there.
Thé riff of the minute 7:44 IS from you ? Or a song IS sound hell good
I made that one up while we were filming...but thank you!!
Cant ai take for make a song sound liké Bad ass😐?
Can you get Eric Johnson or Gilmore tone with this?
Should this pedal go before my nano pog on my chain?
