Havent been playing long and only have 9 Legendary heroes so these videos really help me a lot. Ludwig is definitely gonna be my 1st choice even though it would make 4 of 10 of my legendary heroes will be Dark. BTW, just wanted to say i appreciate all the time and effort you're putting in in making these VERY helpful videos.
Agreed on Ludwig! Just be careful to not take heroes that you cannot level up, because you are out of ascension mats! Ludwig is awesome, but only if you can max him out!

Just saw a different video with the list and then decided to watch yours. We all know which three heroes are going to be chosen the most - Ludwig, Milena/Esme and Ray. ;) Oh and Hulda isn't a piggy, she's a mole. :)
About Roughian and Nurgib - I've been using her since the month she was released and available in the portal. I still use her, even though she (or rather they) are just limit broken once. The mana can't be decreased from heroes that has innate resistance against it, so be mindful of that. One of the best heroes of the month. Period.

I missed Ludwig the last time he was available, I think in soul exchange. | picked Cobalt (the blue ninja) because I wanted to complete my ninja roster. That was a big mistake! Cobalt was not as good as he played in the ninja tower event. I really want Ray on my raid team, and for war attacks. I usually get 2 heroes from the fated summons so I'll go for Ray first time, then Ludwig later on. I pulled Roughian and Nurgib when they were hero of the month, and they're beastly! You forgot to mention a passive that's been super handy for me. Every 2 or 3 turns, they munch/kill all minions from a random enemy. This happens whether the enemies have taunt or not. Unfortunately it's only for regular minions - but still very useful.

Correction, I meant Daemon not Lewena, my bad. 19:00 don't underestimate one of the few Bernadette counters, blocking skill activation is very VERY useful in today's meta. Blocking passives might get dodged or affected by dispel per turn (there are heroes with such a skill), or blocked by special skills buff, whereas blocking skill activation has multiple uses - against Bernadette, War of 3 Kingdom heroes, Von Rothbart, etc. Don't underestimate this
Thanks for the comment but I think maybe u should rewatch. I was referring specifically to Lewena's special skill which blocks the talent and not to heroes that block or prevent the use of special skills. Ie. Lewena will do nothing against Bearnadette. Hope that makes sense 🙏
i think you underestimate hulda for a ftp player, i got guardian gazelle from current fated summons, and costume from the costume event. With guardian gazelle costume hero my gameplay got 2 stars above before. guess the only hero in the game that gives healing to all allies after guardian gazelle special goes off? hulda! i am considering hulda, ludwig, ray and milena(no particular order)

Aouda's costume might offer an advantage against opponents with insane defenses, where you would prefer the straight damage over damage calculated against their defensive stats. Maybe? Not that I would ever select her.
Aiming for Ludwig, Ray, and then probably Esme. I only have Ommodus for Fiend Removal and can't count how many times I wished I had another Hero with that ability. Even after those 3, there are options worth getting excited about. The last batch was comparatively good to what came before but I ended up choosing Heroes that I knee I would just be adding to the line for the Outfitter/Soul Exchange. That seems unlikely with this group. Thanks again!
Good choices 👌 I may grab a second Ludwig tbh and I normally hate dupes. Esme will also be on my hitlist and maybe a 2nd Ray hmm.. decisions decisions 😅
Thanks so much for this breakdown! My roster is thin on dark 5*s so my first pick will be Ludwig. Next I'll take Esme because i don't have a 5* ice healer. Lastly Roughian because of course. I don't actually need to beef up my fire roster at all but if I have a chance to take R&N, I'm gonna.
I have had R&N since the month they were released and I still use that card. Often won me a match against ~6000 teams in wars single-handedly and on 1st limit break. Just remember that some heroes have an innate resistance against mana steal but the aren't that many.
FYI. Gilligan is now up to 350%, and because his passive gives him mana for every enemy buff, he gets up even faster than my average speed heroes because most enemies nowadays are 2lb and have a buff to begin with. That's 5 buffs straight off the bat that he's gaining mana for. I honestly don't think he gets enough credit.
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't take into account the LB2 buffs so that's my bad. CFinley has benefited from that too so I should've known sos. I still think he could be a hit all at 350 just cause his special is counterintuitive ie. If u use a dispell u slow him down. I would put him with a hero like Ilmarinen Wilbur or someone that gives soul connection to the enemies as that counts as 5 buffs without the downside but then he still needs to hit all IDK
I have 95/100 summon counter now. I took Krampus and Gazelle (2nd C gazelle for me)in the current summon. Should i take lepiota in current or wait and get ludwig in 2 weeks?
I'm in exactly the same situation. I've also already picked Gazelle and Krampus, and I was wondering if I should wait for Ludwig, or go for Lepiota/Hatter.
@ajronmejden depends how many pulls u plan on doing 🤑 But if ur FTP only I might wait for Ludwig Otherwise I'm sure ull have plenty of time to get him.
Hey McNaultyGreat video! I've been waiting for you to drop this so I can decide whether to use the 100 I have now or save 'em for the new list! I still wanted either Hatter or Krampus before it changes.... Now I see Ludwig, forget Krampus, LOL. So I'll get Hatter now then later pick up Ludwig and probably Zenobia (Titans!), Ray, or Eloise. I like Esme for the fiends but I just got Hetepheres so don't need a blue healer and I don't have a 5* minion eater. So thank you for this! I'll definitely join after I get my 2 youngest out of uni. Those minions eat all my money, lol. Have a good one.
Thanks McNaulty for the great video. I have a question: Should I take The Hatter before he disappears or wait for the new heroes(I already have Ludwig and R&N) like Ray, Milena or someone else you mentioned? How good is The Hatter compared?
No worries m8. Hatter on his own isn't as special as he used to be just cause of stats. But stealing all buffs is very unique. If u do get him ull have to wait till November to get the costume in the outfitters but imo he'll probably still be worth it. Ray is an excellent hero with decent stats & the Fated summon portal will be there for 6 months so I'd say most will safely get at least 1 if not 2 shots. Even the most FTP of FTP. So if u already have Ludwig and R&N I'd probably snag the hatter before he's gone.
Top pick for me is Hulda to speed up my toons and get the costume with outfitters. I aslo want ray, melena, agrafeena, and a second ludwig. Ill be honest, I wasnt expecting them to steer away from the seasonal and challenge event heroes. I was hoping to get Finley this round

Agrafena isn't a great hero. I've had her since the month she was released and she's helped me a lot in various towers and quests but now she just sits on the bench with 20 emblems and no limit break. I'd suggest choosing Esme, Quenell or Ray to be honest. ;)
I have Maj base version, but was thinking of grabbing her 1st Costume when the outfitter comes round again, but having seen that Ray is available in FS next… What do you think?
Some are good some are bad. Also it's all obsolete. Even if they give hero+ costume are obsolete. If they put this heroes they should give it with costume as long as the hero have that costume or more costumes. Also my top list i think will be: 1st Ludwig, 2nd Roughian and probably 3rd Ray (I don't know if i'll get more than 300 summons)

Thanks for another great breakdown! I agree that Ludwig is the man. Got him on the SE for 15 and he was my 1st double limit break. I use him like 99% of the time. I've always liked R&N but if you really rate Ray I just might have to give him a go. I actually need a green, but will wait and see what the next SE has in store.
I'm a free-to-player so I don't even have a taunt. I was going to grab what's it called from the last faded summon, but I'm guessing that lead wig is better, but I don't think he has a costume and the other guy does so I don't know what I'm going to do but luggedwood seems like he's going to be good on those Rush maps
Yep I'd advise that Ludwig will help boost your profile far more than Krampus, even without the costume if u can get both that wont be bad either as taunt heroes are always useful, remember the Fated summon is open for a full 6 months but as an ftp it will mean u have to wait a bit longer to get Ludwig 😉
Love your videos. They are very helpful. I've been playing since last October and I'm a low spender. I'm 4 summons away from the 100 required for a fated summon. I got a few 5*s, but no reds or purples. I'm still a bit overwhelmed by the game and I hope that you might be able to tell me which of the fated summons would benefit my current team the most. Also, could you tell me if any of my benched 5*s are better than the 5*s of my team? I got really lucky on the extra legendary portal last week. I did a total of 10-11 summons and got 1+1 legendary twice (Astrid + Snowball, Ogima + Theobald) and one other legendary (Astrid). My current team: Chikao, Astrid, Chester, Colen (+ costumes), Sabina (no costumes). 5*s on the bench: Joon (+ costumes), Astrid, Snowball, Ogima, and Theobald.
Thanks 🍻 and I love your Name Dumbledork Prime! 😅 Welcome to E&P 🥳 For starters you should totally go with Ludwig from the Fated summon 1st. Second your bench is stacked! OGIMA is probably the best minion control hero and on defense in horde wars he is unstoppable. Plus he's a bard so as part of his passive he increases the mana generation speed of all of your other heroes. Snowball is incredible 😲 put her on your titan teams. All damage is increases by 40% with her fiends and Astrid, another bard but also probably the best healer in the game. Theobald is OK but u have Chester who is better and Toon joon is a ridiculously powerful sniper but takes a lot to level. Hopefully that is somewhat helpful. U definitely have a great platform to start with.👍 👏
Totally agree with your picks, and will try to get Ludwig and Ray! But as you said, you have to limit break them.. I have stopped using Milena, as she cant survive anything, and i dont have any more mats 😅

Would you consider Ray over Ludwig purely because the magic tower event seems to come around alot less frequently than the knights event, so you have less chance of pulling him over ludwig. Plus Ludwig may get a costume jn the future so will be featured again sooner than ray who probably wont get a costume based on previous magic tower heroes being forgotten Thanks for the videos, always a great help

Now.. I am in trouble. I stopped at 98/100 to see this list and I love a few picks from it. I need charactera for titans like Zenobia and Fileas. I want Esme as fiends killer. I would love have Hulda, as my first 5* dark healer. I would gladly hug the second Ludwig. And maybe Ray too And I am still considering Lepiota (and later costume for her) from current portal as great remover of growth from enemies. Dang..
with Turgruk, you can stack have both Franz and her stacks and the stacks stay, so you dont have to reaply. personaly i really like stacks for titans if you try to save on scrolls and meta items

Great list with many heroes that I love for a long time. Yeah they were sneaky with this list, but it is still a great list. The game is giving more to f2p and c2p lately - outfiter quality fated summon and the new instant power portal. Hope they keep going on this direction that makes the game fun for everyone. Thank you for the list! I've been sitting at 100 for over a month, waiting. I absolutely NEED a blue. (Greg is my best option at this point.) Was trying to decide if I should take Krampus or wait. Still unsure. As a 100% F2P for life, I only get 1-2 picks, so every choice is agony. My best team is Greg, Guardian Gazelle, Titisheri, Xandrella, and Nercisa. Any advice?

Krampus with the costume will be great for you if ur lacking a taunt hero but as i said Ludwig & Ray are better options even without a costume than any of the 'old' list. If ur primarily after a Blue hero then Krampus probably has more staying power than Mileena or Morel though he will be cancelled out on that team by Gazelle. Can't decide for u 😕 but hopefully that helps a bit. 🍻

I also needed a blue and purple heroes but I recently pulled Obakan (with all costumes) and started working on him. So I was leaning towards getting Melina from the FS lists but after watching different videos and going through people's opinions, I'm torn between Ludwig and Melina now. Should I just continue leveling Obakan and pick Melina for now or should I just go ahead and get Ludwig? I know I'm asking this too early but leveling Obakan will take ages for me.

It's true SG are sneaky and sometimes they go waaaaaayyy outta left field but they also put Ray in there and IMHO he is at least a 15 if not 20 tier Soul Exchange type hero so even though u may have all the others at least u get one awesome one for free 😉 also u didn't mention if u have her but R&N is totally worth levelling and she and Ray are like Besties 😅
Ludwig. Since bobo is slow it's great to be able to fire him off multiple times. Ludwig will allow you to charge them both much quicker. Since Malum is a ninja he won't benefit as much from the mana boost but the same could be said for R&N. Hope that helps 🙏 😉 🍺
Ludwig first, Ray second and then R&N, Milena and Quennell - usually get about 4 Fated Summons before the refresh so not sure who the last two would be!

As an FTP, I was very lucky to pull Ray not long ago, and will be investing in him when I’m done developing my Charmione. Ludwig beats me so often I almost want to reject him on spite, but it will be good to welcome him. As long as I’m improving my purples what do you think about limit breaking Jabberwock (and costume). Would he play well alongside a built-up Ludwig? My other purple five stars are Gunktus, Kemeny , and the Season One classics.
Don't bother with Season 1 unless if you gave their costumes. For example Domitia Toon and Costume 1 are very good, Quintus only good is Mindless Attack costume. If you enjoy C Jabberwock and use often, go ahead. Ludwig is great for survivability and your heroes will really need help staying alive more than the mana

My current fated summons board shows I did 1300+ pulls. Excluding some free pulls. I already have 50% of this list. My current pulls # is 97. So three more pulls and I may get one of the magic heroes. 😅
SOOOOOO.....SG goes and does it again. They appease the masses with some of the greatest hereos from yester portals while still avoiding newer hereos that f2p or c2p players would have a tougher time acquiring. Don't get me wrong, there are some great options here.... but still not a great value for what your having to give up. Even if Ludwig, the clear choice for most, would only be 10 souls he can be wiped out fairly quickly when going up against newer hereos (both of mine are double LB w/ full emblems and 1 is 25 emblem'ed). I'm anxiously awaiting his costume. Esme would be a good fiend destroyer especially with the recent influx of fiend casters and these new Moth hereos. I wish they would actually offer hereos worthy of the souls required. 20 Souls for 2 year old hereos is quite alot for the average player and whales wouldn't really touch this because they have the newer OP. Heros of the month??? Why??? Most of them just aren't worth the mats worth investing in (Not talking about Roughian & Nurgib or possibly Azuna). HotM to me are more for those that don't really spend much but can help augment a f2p/c2p player. Don't get me wrong, I think this is a great portal but with prize hereos that remind me more of Carnival/Amusement Park prizes.....costs more than they are actually worth.

@McNaultyYT OMG I'm an idiot.... on a 24hr work shift and so tired already. The Fated summon is the participation trophy but.... for that then the hereos are decently good. However, would still like to see maybe some of the costumes they have recently released, as you said or maybe a goblin/Astral Elf first released. People spend their cash and will rarely get what they want and odds suck so the fated summons should be something players would really want to work towards. Not a bad list but they are still holding back. Thanks for the correcting mate

Don't worry about that color - purple heroes still have one of the best heroes in the game. ;)

Thanks so much for this breakdown! My roster is thin on dark 5*s so my first pick will be Ludwig. Next I'll take Esme because i don't have a 5* ice healer. Lastly Roughian because of course. I don't actually need to beef up my fire roster at all but if I have a chance to take R&N, I'm gonna.
I have had R&N since the month they were released and I still use that card. Often won me a match against ~6000 teams in wars single-handedly and on 1st limit break. Just remember that some heroes have an innate resistance against mana steal but the aren't that many.

FYI. Gilligan is now up to 350%, and because his passive gives him mana for every enemy buff, he gets up even faster than my average speed heroes because most enemies nowadays are 2lb and have a buff to begin with. That's 5 buffs straight off the bat that he's gaining mana for. I honestly don't think he gets enough credit.
Thanks for the feedback. I didn't take into account the LB2 buffs so that's my bad. CFinley has benefited from that too so I should've known sos. I still think he could be a hit all at 350 just cause his special is counterintuitive ie. If u use a dispell u slow him down. I would put him with a hero like Ilmarinen Wilbur or someone that gives soul connection to the enemies as that counts as 5 buffs without the downside but then he still needs to hit all IDK
I have 95/100 summon counter now. I took Krampus and Gazelle (2nd C gazelle for me)in the current summon. Should i take lepiota in current or wait and get ludwig in 2 weeks?

I still wanted either Hatter or Krampus before it changes.... Now I see Ludwig, forget Krampus, LOL. So I'll get Hatter now then later pick up Ludwig and probably Zenobia (Titans!), Ray, or Eloise. I like Esme for the fiends but I just got Hetepheres so don't need a blue healer and I don't have a 5* minion eater. So thank you for this! I'll definitely join after I get my 2 youngest out of uni. Thanks McNaulty for the great video. I have a question: Should I take The Hatter before he disappears or wait for the new heroes(I already have Ludwig and R&N) like Ray, Milena or someone else you mentioned? How good is The Hatter compared?
No worries m8. Hatter on his own isn't as special as he used to be just cause of stats. But stealing all buffs is very unique. If u do get him ull have to wait till November to get the costume in the outfitters but imo he'll probably still be worth it. Ray is an excellent hero with decent stats & the Fated summon portal will be there for 6 months so I'd say most will safely get at least 1 if not 2 shots. Even the most FTP of FTP. So if u already have Ludwig and R&N I'd probably snag the hatter before he's gone.
Top pick for me is Hulda to speed up my toons and get the costume with outfitters. I aslo want ray, melena, agrafeena, and a second ludwig.
Ill be honest, I wasnt expecting them to steer away from the seasonal and challenge event heroes. I was hoping to get Finley this round

Agrafena isn't a great hero. I've had her since the month she was released and she's helped me a lot in various towers and quests but now she just sits on the bench with 20 emblems and no limit break. I'd suggest choosing Esme, Quenell or Ray to be honest. ;)

Some are good some are bad. Also it's all obsolete. Even if they give hero+ costume are obsolete.
If they put this heroes they should give it with costume as long as the hero have that costume or more costumes.
Also my top list i think will be: 1st Ludwig, 2nd Roughian and probably 3rd Ray (I don't know if i'll get more than 300 summons)

I was going to grab what's it called from the last faded summon, but I'm guessing that lead wig is better, but I don't think he has a costume and the other guy does so I don't know what I'm going to do but luggedwood seems like he's going to be good on those Rush maps
Yep I'd advise that Ludwig will help boost your profile far more than Krampus, even without the costume if u can get both that wont be bad either as taunt heroes are always useful, remember the Fated summon is open for a full 6 months but as an ftp it will mean u have to wait a bit longer to get Ludwig 😉

I've been playing since last October and I'm a low spender. I'm 4 summons away from the 100 required for a fated summon. I got a few 5*s, but no reds or purples. I'm still a bit overwhelmed by the game and I hope that you might be able to tell me which of the fated summons would benefit my current team the most.
Also, could you tell me if any of my benched 5*s are better than the 5*s of my team?
I got really lucky on the extra legendary portal last week. I did a total of 10-11 summons and got 1+1 legendary twice (Astrid + Snowball, Ogima + Theobald) and one other legendary (Astrid).
My current team: Chikao, Astrid, Chester, Colen (+ costumes), Sabina (no costumes).
5*s on the bench: Joon (+ costumes), Astrid, Snowball, Ogima, and Theobald.
Thanks 🍻 and I love your Name Dumbledork Prime! 😅 Welcome to E&P 🥳 For starters you should totally go with Ludwig from the Fated summon 1st. Second your bench is stacked! OGIMA is probably the best minion control hero and on defense in horde wars he is unstoppable. Plus he's a bard so as part of his passive he increases the mana generation speed of all of your other heroes. Snowball is incredible 😲 put her on your titan teams. All damage is increases by 40% with her fiends and Astrid, another bard but also probably the best healer in the game. Theobald is OK but u have Chester who is better and Toon joon is a ridiculously powerful sniper but takes a lot to level. Hopefully that is somewhat helpful. U definitely have a great platform to start with.👍 👏

Totally agree with your picks, and will try to get Ludwig and Ray! But as you said, you have to limit break them.. I have stopped using Milena, as she cant survive anything, and i dont have any more mats 😅

Would you consider Ray over Ludwig purely because the magic tower event seems to come around alot less frequently than the knights event, so you have less chance of pulling him over ludwig.
Plus Ludwig may get a costume jn the future so will be featured again sooner than ray who probably wont get a costume based on previous magic tower heroes being forgotten

with Turgruk, you can stack have both Franz and her stacks and the stacks stay, so you dont have to reaply. personaly i really like stacks for titans if you try to save on scrolls and meta items

Great list with many heroes that I love for a long time. Yeah they were sneaky with this list, but it is still a great list. The game is giving more to f2p and c2p lately - outfiter quality fated summon and the new instant power portal. Hope they keep going on this direction that makes the game fun for everyone. Thank you for the list! I've been sitting at 100 for over a month, waiting. I absolutely NEED a blue. (Greg is my best option at this point.) Was trying to decide if I should take Krampus or wait. Still unsure. As a 100% F2P for life, I only get 1-2 picks, so every choice is agony. My best team is Greg, Guardian Gazelle, Titisheri, Xandrella, and Nercisa. Any advice?

Krampus with the costume will be great for you if ur lacking a taunt hero but as i said Ludwig & Ray are better options even without a costume than any of the 'old' list. If ur primarily after a Blue hero then Krampus probably has more staying power than Mileena or Morel though he will be cancelled out on that team by Gazelle. Can't decide for u 😕 but hopefully that helps a bit. 🍻

I also needed a blue and purple heroes but I recently pulled Obakan (with all costumes) and started working on him. So I was leaning towards getting Melina from the FS lists but after watching different videos and going through people's opinions, I'm torn between Ludwig and Melina now. Should I just continue leveling Obakan and pick Melina for now or should I just go ahead and get Ludwig? I know I'm asking this too early but leveling Obakan will take ages for me.

It's true SG are sneaky and sometimes they go waaaaaayyy outta left field but they also put Ray in there and IMHO he is at least a 15 if not 20 tier Soul Exchange type hero so even though u may have all the others at least u get one awesome one for free 😉 also u didn't mention if u have her but R&N is totally worth levelling and she and Ray are like Besties 😅

Between ludwig and roughian, which is better paired wth malum and bobo ?
Ludwig. Since bobo is slow it's great to be able to fire him off multiple times. Ludwig will allow you to charge them both much quicker. Since Malum is a ninja he won't benefit as much from the mana boost but the same could be said for R&N. Hope that helps 🙏 😉 🍺

As an FTP, I was very lucky to pull Ray not long ago, and will be investing in him when I’m done developing my Charmione. Ludwig beats me so often I almost want to reject him on spite, but it will be good to welcome him. As long as I’m improving my purples what do you think about limit breaking Jabberwock (and costume). Would he play well alongside a built-up Ludwig? My other purple five stars are Gunktus, Kemeny , and the Season One classics.
Don't bother with Season 1 unless if you gave their costumes. For example Domitia Toon and Costume 1 are very good, Quintus only good is Mindless Attack costume.
If you enjoy C Jabberwock and use often, go ahead. Ludwig is great for survivability and your heroes will really need help staying alive more than the mana

My current fated summons board shows I did 1300+ pulls. Excluding some free pulls. I already have 50% of this list. My current pulls # is 97. So three more pulls and I may get one of the magic heroes. 😅

SOOOOOO.....SG goes and does it again. They appease the masses with some of the greatest hereos from yester portals while still avoiding newer hereos that f2p or c2p players would have a tougher time acquiring. Don't get me wrong, there are some great options here.... but still not a great value for what your having to give up. Even if Ludwig, the clear choice for most, would only be 10 souls he can be wiped out fairly quickly when going up against newer hereos (both of mine are double LB w/ full emblems and 1 is 25 emblem'ed). I'm anxiously awaiting his costume. Esme would be a good fiend destroyer especially with the recent influx of fiend casters and these new Moth hereos. I wish they would actually offer hereos worthy of the souls required. 20 Souls for 2 year old hereos is quite alot for the average player and whales wouldn't really touch this because they have the newer OP. Heros of the month??? Why??? Most of them just aren't worth the mats worth investing in (Not talking about Roughian & Nurgib or possibly Azuna). HotM to me are more for those that don't really spend much but can help augment a f2p/c2p player. Don't get me wrong, I think this is a great portal but with prize hereos that remind me more of Carnival/Amusement Park prizes.....costs more than they are actually worth.

@McNaultyYT OMG I'm an idiot.... on a 24hr work shift and so tired already. The Fated summon is the participation trophy but.... for that then the hereos are decently good. However, would still like to see maybe some of the costumes they have recently released, as you said or maybe a goblin/Astral Elf first released. People spend their cash and will rarely get what they want and odds suck so the fated summons should be something players would really want to work towards. Not a bad list but they are still holding back. Thanks for the correcting mate
