Agreed. But again, people in the north of Indian Union need to understand and realise the policies of union govt which is biased towards hindi, at the cost of all other languages. They should stand with us in demanding abolishment of art 342-351 of Indian Union constitution.
If you see the description of food - it would be written in English by cogito - Dosai - as rice and Lentil mix. Lentil is actual word for Paruppu or dhal in hindi. But labels by fssai in Indian Union mandates all labelling to be written in hindi + even hindi word in english.
Wheat - is written as atta. Why not Tamil word written in English as godhumai ?
Nei - or clarified butter - is written as ghee in even English. So much so many people think ghee is actual eng word for Nei or clarified butter
But all of these direct and subtle privileges....hindi speakers get it. Good. But shouldn't similar be available to all citizens of Indian union? Else, it appears that only hindi speakers get everything on platter while rest of the speakers are treated as second class citizens.
This all hindi speakers must realise and correct....they should demand either all languages of the Indian Union be treated equally or remove special privileges for hindi .
Else it doesn't matter. Even a medicine or tablet is mandates to have names written in hindi & eng only. How is it fair? So a hindi only speaking person of Indian Union can survive without even knowing eng but an old grandma...who knows only Tamil....cannot understand what is written in a tablet or syrup she bought using her money .... This is unfair and evil.
We need support of channels or people like this from north of Indian Union to make our union truly diverse and inclusive. Not just be majortorian.
Also, when you say you have read about kingdoms as one para ... question CBSE. Which is under union govt ...
Question you state board syllabus. Many in south learn far greater details about Ashoka, mayurya and many other kingdoms of North, jallian wala bagh and many things in detail...but much of south is mentioned as nothing in union govt syllabus or northern state syllabus. Pls question that
For example - Google what Chirangeevi says when he went to Indian film award ceremony organized by union govt, he felt completely alienated...most of the posters where from just hindi movies and he felt like no major giants of south or Bengal cinema were even mentioned .He said this in Bahubali function.....it took a bahubali to wake up northes to south cinema. Why didn't union govt do its job correctly - there is a dept for cultural?
When you said...you always assumed all languages came from Sanskrit and later changed .. where did that assumption come from? Someone must have told you. We can forgive our family members for being unaware or even ignorant.....but why does politicians in north or worst still govts keep peddling the lie that hindi is national of Indian union? It is clearly not and we all know but never seen any northie correcting this assumption in any public debate or with their friends. North politicians are never questioned and many state govt and Union govt behave as if all people of this union understand Hindi . No we don't.

So most that any northie learns as 3rd Lang in schools is eng, hind, sanskrit. This is so easy for hindi speakers coz...hindi itself is greatly an Urdu lineage...later standardized as standard Hindi by union govt in 1950s. What is standardization - removing urdu word and adding sanskrit words.
I wish educated pandit families question all of these ...coz this is also religiously biased and associating language with religions...which is bad. So Islam influenced urdu is removed and Sanskrit based words are used for standard Hindi. How would Islam communities feel of these activities of Indian union?
It is ok to feel emotional after watching the ayodhya movie and seeing how a Tamil guy helped a travelling north family. Touching movie. But at the end it will be revealed he is a Muslim guy. These harmonies exist....if there is no domination or imposition across.
Northern educated families like pandit families must wake up and raise voice of support to the true cause of union.
This is not political...as both congress & bjp did and doing same thing....and cite art 342-351 of Indian constitution. So, let us amend it to make India and truly diverse union - not bound by definition of Hindu or Islam or language but something truly diverse & respectful.

If you go by the scriptures Murugan Puranam/ Skand Puran clearly says that Sanskrit speaking Brahmin Agastya Muni created Tamil.
Even Tamils oldest grammar book, a first sangam era book called Agattiyam/Akattiyam was created by Sanskrit speaking Brahmin Agattiyar /Agastya Muni.
& another Sangam era book called Tolkappiyam was written by Tolkappiyar. He was one of the 12 disciple of Agastya Muni.

Already our GDP is greater than country like Pakistan and in size we are greater than South Korea, twice the size of Sri Lanka and so on. In population we are greater than French speakers. We ruled separately even in Ashok times . They want South states to fight among each other for resources and so on. So that they don't join together to form a separate country. You can clearly see how they make up fight's between states in IPL. For example RCB vs CSK match. If people still believe IPL matches are real and not reel. Then I can't help you. You figure it out yourself. We did to improve a lot of things before he call on for separate country. Upcoming UP election will decide it. And we have more powerful if we are in India. That's is unity in diversity and not one nation one language policy or one culture or one ration politics.

Many English words which are in use in today are from Tamil. Eg : "Petti" (பெட்டி) literally means (Box) in Tamil. "Cash" Tamil word "காசு" (Kaas) or (Kaasu)
Accounting Term today (Petti cash) usually used for small money. "Speech" (பேச்சு) "Pecche", Kattamaran (Raft) is literally used as Kattamaran" (Inji = ginger) ; Maanga (Raw Mango) to name a few among hundreds of other words!
