I used to watch firewood videos all of the time, but over a period of about three years, I split more firewood than I'll use in 5 years down here in NC. This popped up and I watched it and it reminded me of how much I enjoy wood. Maybe I'll cut some more when it cools down even if I don't need it.

Good job bangin that tree over. Amazing what hardwoods are like compared to our soft stuff. What we have here would snap off before traveling that far. Good loads of wood. STAY SAFE!!

Good save on those. Maple can go bad fast on the stump. Lil unpredictable as they get punky. Good luck with that saw log. Hope it is something cool inside!

Thanks Stan. Yes the maple rot quickly if the bark doesn't fall off them . I try and watch for the ones that are dying.
