This is what surf travel is all about man, stoked to experience the adventures through you. I surfed Panama back in 2011 and had such a fun time. It would be cool as well to see footage of the towns you're staying in and the people you meet. Enjoy every moment!
Great video man! Currently planning a trip with the homies to El Salvador because of your videos. Love to see people down there living the nomad surfer dream so sick 🤙🤙
Nice one Dan really enjoyed this vlog, looking forward to the next and eventually the overall round up of surfing and travelling around Panama which you do so well and have done for other countries. Your breakdown of surf spots, places to stay and ease of access are really appreciated. Hope this year of travel goes well, all the best 🤙
Sick video, I surfed in Panama a few years ago on the pacific side and it’s what inspired me to really get going with surfing, love the country love the video
It was good to spend some time with everyone who stayed at Skully's this year! Safe travels and hope you score more awesome surf this year. I subscribed to your channel! Hope to see you again in Bocas next year!
Happy surfing today brother its 5 am here in Canada, youre probably just getting ready to hike out over there wishing you good vibes and good conditions Cheers Dan
*Dude you put in MAJOR effort to get there (and walking from the house the beach) but it paid off!* 🤩🤤 Was there anyone else surfing near you? You make it look so empty
Yeah, some huge mornings have gone into getting waves out there. Some mornings I walked there and back, surfed for 5 hours and caught hardly any waves haha!! And yeah to be honest it is crowded, but it's a super long beach so you can usually find a peak :)
Dan! Your videos are incredible and have inspired me to get back in shape and take some time off to really focus on leveling up my surfing. I am thinking about a 3-4 week trip somewhere warm with easy access to waves and relatively affordable. I am in canada rn so thinking somewhere in central America’s. Any suggestions? I am not an experienced traveller so ease of access to good quality waves is paramount for me.
Thank you and stoked they inspire you so much!! Yeah anywhere in Central America will be pretty good (West Coast season starts next month). I'd say Costa Rica or El Salvador would be your best bets for safety, and easy to surf waves :)
Another great video. Obviously youre there for a while, perhaps a breakdown towards the end of your duration of costs of quads, taxis and so forth. Living the life. Pura Vida!
Love the vid Dan, I thought it was a mission as I drive an hour a lot of the times for a surf, but your walking and hour. You deserve coffees my dude so I bought you some 🤙
Bluffs beach!!!! I was just there last July!! Awesome place. Hope you get paunch reef good! I scored big on the pacific side at Punta Santa Catalina! World class right point. 6-8 and firing. Wrong time of year for there. I hope you score more great waves.
Yes skullys!!!!! I stayed there ! Say hi to the one legged pirate for me. He’s awesome. Love his place great food and sick location. I rented a bike to get to bluffs. That’s a long walk brother. Can’t wait for more vids
Sick you had that place to stay. I remember the taxis would only take me as far as paunch anyway and I was losing 20us a surf. Barefoot walking that coral road was gnarly as well. Glad I'm not the only 1. Such a fun wave though.
Great video. Looking to go to Central America this summer. Who did you fly with? Why did you fly to Spain first. I thought the US was the main connecting hub for Central Americas
Thanks mate!! Epic. From the UK it just seemed all the cheapest and best flights went via Europe. KLM via Amsterdam, Iberia//British Airways via Madrid and Air France via Paris. These seemed to be the best flights and all had free boards as checked baggage. Plenty of other flights connecting through the US also, but North American airlines always seem to charge for boards...
@@DanHarmon123 awesome thanks for the quick reply. I'll check it out. Booking flights in a few weeks. Where else are you going on this trip? Or are you just staying in panama. We are travelling with our 2 teenage kids and trying to decide which country to go to, they are still learning to surf. I've been to Mexico a few times and Costa rica years ago. So may return or try something new. 🤔
So Dan, this was on the Caribbean side? 3:15 ? Barrel Fest…. How were the Locals? Any hot chicks? Did you find it cheap? How spicy was the Salsa? How much was the room? The reason that you dont get to practice Barrel riding much at home is because you are English and Brit waves as we all know are a tad bit soft
Yep, the Caribbean side. Locals are not too bad, especially at the beaches, plenty of women, not crazy cheap, (dorms $15 per night) and yeah, we don't get waves like this in England hahah!!
Hey Dan, great videos, love your channel, I sraterd surfing 1 month ago, and I'm looking for best online surfing program, can you recommend me any? thanks
Dan, I really enjoy your channel, please consider your music choices with your POV. That soundtrack was bad. Constructive criticism only. Keep up the great work.
“I’ve gotta walk because I wanna travel until Christmas”. Hero! You inspire me man! Keep up enjoying life 😎
Hahah 😂 Gotta stretch the cash!!

Yeah, it's just so expensive, especially after a month!! So figured I'd walk and save money!
Great video.

Prefer these sort of videos personally. It gives us a nice insight into you, not just facts.
Thanks, mate! Will keep releasing them and improving over time :)
Dan, I really enjoy your channel, please consider your music choices with your POV. That soundtrack was bad. Constructive criticism only. Keep up the great work.
Thanks mate!! Music is always a tricky one as I can only use royalty-free songs, but will work on aligning them better in future :)
