Who else is old like me and had this on cassette
Good times. :D
goblue 75 aye!! Only way to learn the lyrics was to write that shit down constantly hitting rewind to hear it clearly!
Got my cassettes at Nobody Beats the Wiz, Caldors, or Bradlees. Those were the days.
I had the East 1999 single and then got the whole album on cassette.
I had the tape first cause we was too poor to buy CDs then haha
I bought a CD later👍
This whole album is a complete masterpiece. There isn't a single average let alone bad song in this record. The production is top notch, the lyrics have substance and subject matter, transitions are flawless, timing, flow and pace is absolutely outstanding. It's one the most complete bodies of music I've ever heard.
ENTIRE ALBUM!!!
Subject matter for the entire album is about murder 🤣
Well said👌
It's amazing how well produced and mixed this album was for the time. The overlays, the clean crisp sounds ridiculous.
Facts. Masterpiece is the only word for this record.
Bone thugs can never be duplicated. Giving them their flowers. Thank you Bone thugs and harmony for your contribution to hip hop
Hear me out, SuicideBoys is literally the emo version of Bone thugs, just by the way they rap fast paced
@@SyberGhost-gc1vg They kinda more listen to memphis rap alot tho three 6 mafia inspired em
Best ever!!!! 🥰
Imagine being 18 years old senior year in high school when this came out. And the fugees the score. Class of 96. Part of the best decade in music. Not only for the current music at that time, but because that generation grasped and appreciated the music before their time.
Class of 00. I sent my mom this video and told her the answer to her question of why I did so much stupid stuff is at 5:01
No other decade can touch the 90s. 1995 had this album and All Eyez On Me came out a little later in the year. Starting with G Funk in the early 90s, South and Midwest blowing up in the mid 90s and east coast closing out the late 90s... so many classic albums
Class 98 here
Imagine being 14, 15 and your mom doing Bizzy’s microbraids in the kitchen.
Ohio pride, no one has ever sounded like them and I wish they would even try.
Jenn Righter plenty have tried to emulate the bone thugs sound.
Body Rott!! Bizzy goes off! 😍 Hit that like so Shaq sees

That was the 90's nobody sounded like anybody. Everyone was original
"All Original"

Late 90s till now is all remakes and sequels...stay distracted. That’s what it’s about. Good music, movies, tv, shit...entertainment turned to shit real quick.
And if they did sound alike... Each artist was still fire or had some songs that were. Rapper X and rapper Y sound alike... Well you still bought each CD.

E1999 Eternal is one of the greatest Hip Hop Albums of all time.
It really is
I am not even a fan of hip hop, but i love this album
Those fucking beats!
By far my favorite of all time
I bought this album on cassette tape when it came out in 95. I was in 8th grade. My mom found it and threw it away...so I bought it again and did a better job of hiding it. It's my #3 best/favorite album of all time.
Anyway, the point I came here to make is that every bone song has brilliant lyrical moments and this one is no different. One of my favorites though is when Layzie says "and I'm feeling not a bit remorseful, my 12 gauge just so forceful."
You're a little thug 😂😂
Ya that bar is tough for sure, I like when Bizzy bone comes in with his verse, his flow and pause fits the music and Cadence real nice.
That eazy -e verse still g8ves us chills
To this day.. this track still gives me goosebumps... literally... I'll never forget when this came out. Middle school days...
Same here, Middle School my boy put me on to Bone thugs and i was like Damn!!! And i loved them ever since
Yup 6th grade going into 7th ..

I can vividly remember my first time hearing Bone this album had just dropped and me and my two cousins sitting around a CD player in the bedroom and all of us just sitting there with our mouths open in shock at how good this was. From that moment on made it my goal to memorize the lyrics which seemed impossible because we had never heard anyone rap this fast. I will never forget it.
Hands down best rap group, real rap, real music.
Shaq is dope. He's like in his 20's with the voice of a 60 year old OG
"Dats Tuff" 😆
Shaq got an old head vibe, definitely a smart dude.
I only subbed for Bone Thugs reactions. Bone Thugs is all that matters!!

The album has a lot of dark Horror Rap style tracks. It's a timeless Masterpiece.
DJ U-Neek had a PERFECT production sound for Bone Thugs... Eazy really knew what he was doing...
so true 👊🏼

Had Ea. 1999 on casset and CD... the entire album doesn't get enough appreciation. One song I'd like to see you react to is from Krayzie Bone off his solo album "Thug Mentality" called "Murda Mo". It samples that Art of Noise song "Moment of Love"... definitely one of my personal favorite songs...
I remember when this album dropped in 95'. I was 12 in Akron, Ohio. I played the CD so much after a year it wouldn't play anymore.
I still get chills listening to this song. Life was so good during those times 💯

The Eternal album was released in 1995, a few months after Eazy E (their mentor and the executive producer) passed away. You're bumping Bone Thugs 25 years later! They reference E 99'th (St. Clair) many times throughout the years which was the main block in the BTNH stomping grounds. I was 11 when this album came out and still continue to bang it today. Krayzie Bone is the GOAT.

E. 99th & St Clair is a corner in Cleveland, just to clarify a little
Yeah had this in my Walkman in elementary lol. By far my favorite rap from that era! And I grew up on the west coast.
We was grindin outside Pittsburgh pa real hard to this in like 95 and 96 .. this album was like our gospel in my town of Mckeesport Pa. Still bump this...
Est 1999 means the street they lived on this came out like 95 or so Art of war was released in 97 after pac died
1995 was the release date, East 99 and St. Claire was the corner where they slanged... 1999 was the year they prophesied the world would end in their music. Hence the cover art looking like judgement day or an apocalypse happened. Don Cunningham was the art dude at Ruthless back then..he Incorporated a ton of meaning into the album art, super dope..
