I'm pigeon toed this is definitely the problem. Now I understand why my inner hips are so tight. I feel te tightness down my knees. Thank you for the great advice and video
As someone who is pigeon-toed, I like doing side-to-side and forward-stretch lunges. Really helps before practice (wrestler) and before my lifts (powerlifter).
I was born bowlegged like I had a had been sitting on a horse AND pigeon/pear toed. Point your hands at each other. I was big toe to big toe. I'm 39 now. Back then my my mother said no to the braces and surgically breaking my legs and orthropedic shoes. Right leg is fine. He's the good twin. Lefty talks too much he didn't straighten out.. I have zero issues. Ladies like it plus it's hereditary as I was told
Yup and you should squeeze your buttcheeks together at the same time. I am actually serious. It helps. Sounds so fun but it helped me correct my hip tightness
Thank you! Alison Crouch (MoveSMART Pilates) recommends doing this exercise with a gently inflated 12" ball (I bought mine at Five Below, I think), rather than the foam roller or hard plastic ball.
I'm a young teenager and I've been given stretches for my pigeon toes, they were painful and I was given them around 2 years ago. They made no improvement at all. Sometimes I wonder if my hips should feel like this, they feel a little tense but otherwise normal, sometimes there's pain in my knee or hips, does anyone have any tips as to how I can fix this??
I also have pigeon toes. I am also older. Honestly, follow medical advice given by PTs or specific healthcare professionals who have assessed you directly. The internet throws so much garbage at us… You can’t believe everything you see or hear.
i'm 18, and very short , 4'7.5'' my mom says i'm pigeon toed but idk if this is true. I thought this is just how it naturally is. How can I fix it? i feel ugly or like i'm deforemd
I am too and I am 25. Maybe it's bones? My feet literally turn inward when I walk and it's hard trying to always walk straight and fix my feet every time. I feel so hopeless I don't know if there's even a solution for this 😭
Yeah, no it's not muscle related. It depends on where the rotation is (femur, knee, ankle, foot) that's causing the pigeon toes. My daughter has femoral anteversion which describes the inward rotation of the femur bone in the upper leg (it's rotated at the hip). The doctor told us that physical therapy won't help. In most of the cases it improves as children grow but in some more severe cases, the only solution is surgery where they cut the femur and rotate it.

Knee valgus when squatting is most often contributed to weak hip abductors not tight adductors
Will purposely walking like a duck help with being pigeon toed?

Im pigeon toed it sucks cuz im an adult and ppl still make fun of it
I'm dealing with the same. I've always been told I walk weird. Now I know it's pigeon toe.
There’s no foundational movement necessary after making the tissue lose so the body understands that we’re restructuring?
What if someone’s toes point toward each other when walking, but it straightens when running? Still TFL, or would you suspect something else?
So if we have to do a soft tissue release, it will be TFL and ITB, and glut medius and which other muscles??

This is amazing, thank you, great info!!
Can I have my daughter who is 7yrs old to do this? Is it safe for her? Wouldn't effect her later in life?
The younger the better for foam rolling!

My husband is pigeon toed but I don’t believe it’s muscle related can it really be something so simple as a muscle issue???
