Thank you very much. I am an anthonian, was in 3 or 4 class when Babar came in his bad a** open top jeep for jam session at our principal's residence. Our principal was also a very elegant man with patience and courage. As a student, we did many rowdy things but he forgave us with dignity. Babar's home was right next to my paternal aunty's home in Model Town, J block. Babar used to fly kites and enjoy his basant a lot. He was a friend of my cousins. Saw him many times at their home. The song brings back so many memories. Such talented people never got the recognition they deserved. Tragic, perhaps the 27 jinx struck him. Whatever the case, I pray for his peace.
November 2014......Finally found this video....thanx Waqas......I directed this video in 1997.....locations were Panchgani (hill station couple hours away from Mumbai) and in Mumbai itself......Babar was my cousin, and his sister Sonia asked me to make this video.....My name is Nadeem Khan and I am a Director of Photography in Bollywood.....was both difficult and emotional as Babar was no longer with us.....but I think the end result was creatively and emotionally satisfying.....Babar, am sure you would have approved...RIP !!

He was a lonesome man, among the evergreens, hiding in his mind from his endless dreams. Why wasn't he born when there was peace in the land, all his joys and sorrows are buried in the sand. She walks the streets at night, running from blue light, she wants to break on through, to the other side. If on the other hand she breaks down on the way, all her bitter tears are buried in the sand. They built their dreams by the sea, where they could be free, away from evil eyes of man. But they don't know when they'll understand, all their shattered dreams are, buried in the sand.
