      Because while he knows the boy needs to move, if he is hostile, the boy will hate piano playing and likely to stay away from Fine Arts. However, playing with him some and giving him a mini concert, the opposite happens. He now has a positive experience from Fine Arts and is much more open to pursuing it possibly when he gets older

    Its crazy how different times were 10 years ago. This is a warm hearting commercial I remember seeing every Saturday morning when I watched Toonzai on The CW. Now the comment section from the past year has adults complaining like little kids.....
    Anyways, I was shocked to see this commercial play recently, brought back so many memories.

    That sums up my college essay. In middle school, I watched a high school’s top band perform “Sleigh Ride.” All the students were dressed in beautiful black attire. I was inspired to join them. Years of failure didn’t stop me from achieving my dream of joining that same band my senior year in high school. The best part in my opinion was traveling to the local middle schools and performing “Sleigh Ride” for the students. I like to believe I encouraged someone to achieve my same dream.

      this is the real story:
      The Master's Hand
      Wishing to encourage her young son’s progress on the piano, a mother took the small boy to a concert of the famous pianist, Paderewski. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her. Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked “No Admittance.”
      When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that her son was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted and the spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway piano on stage.
      In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard. Innocently, he then began to play "Chopsticks". The crowd reacted with anger, some shouts were heard, "Take the boy away!", "Who is bringing a little boy to a concert?!".
      When Paderewski heard the uproar backstage, he grabbed his coat and rushed to the stage. Realizing what was going on, he went to the piano, Reaching around the little boy from behind, the master began to improvise a countermelody to “chopsticks.” As the two of them played together, Paderewski kept whispering in the boy's ear, “Keep going. Don't quit, son... don't stop... don't stop.”
      Together, the old master and the little boy transformed an embarrassing situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was mesmerized.

    Could PSA TV have found a better example of Encouragement? Hello, Parents, where are you when your small child wanders off? You can't afford to let your child out of your site these days! It must have taken quite some time for that little boy to wander down the aisle, get backstage and find his way to the piano. All the while, you sit in amazement that he did this. There are far better scenarios to film an "Encouragement" message. Especially one that does not have an equally "Discouraging" message, like "Don't let your young children wander off or leave them unattended." Are you so unaware of the world we live in?"

    • @cheritripp9470
      @cheritripp9470 4 года назад +10

      There's always one. Instead of just enjoying the commercial for its message to encourage the kid instead of getting mad it had to be analysed and throw cold water over the feel good mood it produced. I think there are still adults that will be kind and help a child and not think of kidnapping. (Which might had been the reason how he got away with reaching the stage in the first place. 😉 )
      And yes I was one of the people who said Awww when I first saw this commercial.
