The failure of education sector in Kenya and South Africa The right to education has no social discrimination. Highly educated citizens are valuable assets of a developed nation. However, the countries like Kenya and South Africa has failed to provide higher education to women diminishing their significant contribution to society. particularly Women from marginalized communities struggle to access higher educational Institutions and succeed in Science, technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) inspite of progressive legal frameworks in both countries.
Gender Inequality in Education in Kenya and South Africa Higher education plays a key role in an individual’s and a nation’s development. The constitutions of Kenya and South Africa guarantees a right to education for all without any discrimination. Inadequate representation of women in higher education is holding back women from contributing to society. Research shows that women in these countries struggle in accessing institutions of higher education, excelling in STEM-related courses, and advancing to postgraduate studies. The progressive legal structure in these countries has not been effective on the ground level and this is evident in the fact that many women, particularly from the marginalized communities are still excluded in higher education.

It is the deadliest living creature as it carries viruses and parasites causing lethal diseases like dengue fever predominantly in Asia and Latin America. In 2016, 3.34 million cases were reported in only 3 out of 6 regions of WHO. As there is an absence of effective vaccines, genetic strategies like releasing genetically modified mosquitoes in wild are getting common. But doing it responsibly remains the biggest concern.
