When I was 5 and starting kindergarten, I was basically depressed because ToysRUs had just closed down. I went to it one time, I found the last Dalmatian plush in the store, I still have “Puppy” to this day.

Come to Canada. You may not feel nostalgia, but you will be able to visit Toys R Us locations because none of those closed. The place will feel old, yet new because the Canadian locations still stay up-to-date. As long as you can afford the trip (and likely documents to sign), you can have quite some fun looking around.

Nowadays kids want Minecraft and Fortnite etc, and all the shopping happens online for the most part. Now don’t get me wrong, I play video games but I miss the days when families used to go out to stores and interact with each other, or going out for a picnic and seeing loads of families. Now families stay inside not because of the parents, but because the kids are inside playing video games.
