The ‘65 442 is one of the best cars I’ve seen on your channel in a while. Although it needs a little work, the drivetrain is worth what his’s asking. Cool all around car.
That Olds was my favorite for the simple fact that it had a manual transmission. The thunderbird and galaxy were runner ups because I’d love to have a car with a 390
Vette -Thanks Solon Great choices again. I like too many to pick one. 1965 Corvair Monza, 1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass 442, 1965 GMC Suburban 1500, 1965 Ford Thunderbird, 1965 Dodge A100 Van.......Wait maybe ????
Hey Solon, loved this video! It’s been a dream of mine for a while now to buy a classic from the year 1965. It’s the year I was born and owning a car from 65 is on the proverbial bucket list. I can’t actually say that I have a favorite though because imo all the cars from 73 and older have their own style. Not like today’s models where most you can only discern what they are is from the taillights and front grills. Good luck doing that when they’re going by you doing 65. Anyway thanks for sharing this video and I’d love to see more from this year if you come across any. Cheers
@@Americanrodshop I wish you could see it it's not a normal Corvette it's all original but this car has things on it that a car of this year doesn't have it was custom ordered but my grandpa it has two tops the tops and a soft top that goes over it so you don't see the t top bar at all it's has a cassette player with four speakers and it has lay back sets it's has five aluminum wheels
Ford built the Thunderbird to compete with the Corvette. Way to go Jake! Love your truck, i had one with a 240, it ran as good as some small v8's id had but got way better gas mileage! I hope you enjoy it
Man what a good video, The Mid 60's T-Birds are becoming pretty popular to build now, 10-15 years noone would touch the "Ugly Birds" but now just about everyone wants one. I've noticed alot of people starting to buy/build Classic Wagons and SUV's like that 65 Sububurn and driving for vacations again too.
You are so right Mr. Real! Elivira driving that wicked Thunderbird turned me back on to that type of that car! That is the car to restore for sure - interest is rising fast!
@@Americanrodshop Yep, I went to the last Swap Meet and I saw several of them in the car show and I'm seeing more and more of them show up at cars and coffee's and mocal car shows also.
1965 Ford. My first car. 352 Automatic. Awesome car.plenty of room. Smooth ride. Drove it without reverse for a while. Knocked down a few fence posts. When turning was difficult. Wouldn't dent or even scratch the bumper. Brother-in-law burned it one day burning weeds. Along with hs 1972 Monte Carlo😢
My favorite car was the 65 galaxy because my husband had one but unfortunately he had to sell it because of some bills had to be paid but he put his family first
#1 answer corvette is the reason t-bird was built to complete against Chevy corvette. 2. Vette, as a Vet, love the vette especially with side pipes. Congrat Larry on your winning the Chevy nomad. My favorite was the nova. I could see myself driving it and being comfortable with the machine.
Great video episode! Under $15,000 for the most part. Indian all the work yourself you couldn't build them for the money. Had a strong interest in most of them but it's between the GMC short bed in the Thunderbird for my first choice. But the corvair for 6500. She'll stop there or probably mention all of them!
I would have to take the Thunderbird as the best car here, but In 1965 I ordered a brand new 65 Chevy Inpal. Super Sport Convertable 327-300hp. Fire engine red, Black interior, 4 on the floor, bucket seats. White top.
that Galaxie 500 is sweet.
The ‘65 442 is one of the best cars I’ve seen on your channel in a while. Although it needs a little work, the drivetrain is worth what his’s asking. Cool all around car.
Yes it is Thomas!
That Corvair--wow! My favorite of the night!

I will be doing cars from each year of sixties - stay tuned for those coming soon! I appreciate you being a viewer!
That Olds was my favorite for the simple fact that it had a manual transmission. The thunderbird and galaxy were runner ups because I’d love to have a car with a 390
Great choices!
Given the way he was treating it you might need to invest in some new tires, IF the tranny didn't blow up.

Congrat Larry on your winning the Chevy nomad.

I love the op of a shot gun , makes the truck look like it came from the 60s
Great video episode! Under $15,000 for the most part. Indian all the work yourself you couldn't build them for the money. Yeah anytime you can buy a pretty nice vintage car for $15,000 or lower, you are actually saving money against the cost of restoring one!
@@Americanrodshop I was thinking but they sure did look good on video
I believe the 72 Charger SE was the last year for hideaway headlights. The Cutlass is my favorite tonight.
Good choice!
I would have to take the Thunderbird as the best car here, but In 1965 I ordered a brand new 65 Chevy Inpal. Super Sport Convertable 327-300hp. Fire engine red, Black interior, 4 on the floor, bucket seats. White top.
Vette and I love that GMC truck
15 to go
VETTE. My favorite car in this vid was the 65 Skylark!
I love the exterior of the Galaxy, but the interior was a little over the top for me.

Price just went down on the 442, needs new back tires.🔥☄️
IF that tranny isn't a rolling repair bill! That was really dumb if he's wanting to sell it.
LOL!
