Iran has 30 million Turks. (mostly Azerbaijani, Qashqai, Khorasani, Turkmen.)
AV, Iran has 80 million people and 35 million of them are ethnically Turk (Azerbaijani, Qashqai, Turkmen, Horasani etc.). And Iranians are not arabs. They are Persian and speak persian. Turks and persians cant speak arabic. Iranian Turks can speak Turkish. The Iranian regime exerts racist pressure on Iranian Turks. So they are following Turkey and Azerbaijan to preserve their culture.
Well most iranian turks don't see themselves as persian, BUT as iranian.
Iranian turks are very well represented in the army and goverment over there.
They see Iran as a whole as their home.
The common religion (shiites) holds the persians and turks together. They prefer Iran over Turkey. You saw that in the report.
Many of them love Turkey (cuze they are turks aswell), BUT would still prefer an Iranian to a Turk because of their religion.
The fact is:
Even if they are ethnically Turkish, they remain Iranian.

Turkey has a big cultural effect on neighbour countries. In Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Armenia, Iran, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Balkan countries, even in Greece.. Thousands of people come to Turkey for work or education. They usually watch Turkish serie dramas or listen to Turkish music. You can see a lot of people speaking Turkish in these countries.. 😊

Hey AV, Iran was a very modern country before the revolution. It changed after the Islamic revolution, but they are not Arab. Iranians are Persians and more than 30 million Azerbaijani Turks live. The Arab countries that we do not want to be compared to and do not like to be compared are the Saudi Arab countries. Arab countries such as Qatar, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Syria.
She meant a lot of people (mostly clerics, relgious people etc.) think negative about turkish movies. She didn't meant they think negative about the people.

Info: Systematically Persian and Italian are more similar than Turkish and Persian are. Turkish is in Altaic language family and is aggricative language like Hungarian. Persian is in Indo-European language. Like Italian. Kurdish is also a branch of Persian language and originally close to Persian culture

I will try to explain of Turkish music's some "little richness". I think you are confused. Arabesque music means in Turkic musicology "mixed music". It is not "arab style". ( It is underinvestigated shortfall in wikipedia. ) It is a so "new" style for historical Turkic music. Because, for example "Kopuz" ("Kobyz" [ қобыз ] called in Kazakh Turkic Language) is oldest violin in the world since BC. 3000+. (It is believed that this instrument eventually spreads to China, India, the Byzantine Empire and the Middle East, where they inspired into instruments such as the erhu in China, the rebab in the Middle East, the lyra in the Byzantine Empire and the esraj in India. The violin in its present form emerged in early 16th-Century Northern Italy, where the port towns of Venice and Genoa maintained extensive ties to central Asia through the trade routes of the silk road.)
Turkic Peoples use his own "Turkic Melismas" in their so many songs. You can hear it from the all Turan group. ( In 6 Independent Republic and a lot of autonomous republics and regions: 1 Buddhist, 5 Tengrists, 4 Christians, 1 Jewish and 20+ Muslims.) Tuvan throat singing (Khoomei,xöömei in Tuvan) is one particular variant of overtone singing practiced by people in Turkic Tribes (one of them Tuva), Mongolia, Inner Mongolia and Siberia. Turkic People use the more "modern" version (for the last millennium) of these kind of Turkic vocal techniques named "makams".
In the beginning for arabesk music: Turkish Classical Music and Turkish Folk Music are mixed in 70's. These songs usualy singing with "Hicaz makam". A common theme in Arabesque songs is the highly embellished and agonizing depiction of love and yearning, along with unrequited love, grief and pain. Arabs prefer Turkic Hicaz makam in their songs and prays too. Therefore, mistakenly this kind of music named "arabesk". Over four hundred makams exist in Turkish music; however the vast majority of these are no longer in use today.
Makam: A musical braid in Turkic Music in which a variety of sounds come together and complete. Makam is the most important concept in Ottoman-Turkish music as in all modal musical traditions; in other words, the usul ( small differences of music), rhythm is of secondary importance since a melody can fulfil the requirements of a makam without being subject to restrictions of rhythm. As a matter of fact, musical forms or performance with no fixed rhythm constitute a significant aspect Turkish music.There are important "diatonic" keys in this system and the music is done by means of moving between these keys. These are part of the "Turkic Vocal Tecnicques". I couldn't explane Turkic folk music yet, maybe another time... So many Turkic people used to use these tecniques in history and nowadays. But not like "yeah, I have to make some Turkic melismas today!". We have grown up with those kind of music styles. When we're washing the dishes, driving, and trekking in the nature, we sing these songs naturally.
Though its roots are in Central Asia, a unique and advanced level of makam music is apparent in Turkic music, which spread throughout the Mediterranean basin. It is used in singing, healing the illness and praying. For example : Azan (the Muslim call to ritual prayer, typically made by a muezzin from the minaret of a mosque) is recited with "15 different makams" just in Turkic countries. Arabs prefer "hicaz", "rast" and more 1-2 makams in their azans and songs. Over four hundred makams exist in Turkish music; however the vast majority of these are no longer in use today. Makams resonances are always 432 Hz. "Healer frequency". Turkic music used to use for cure in historical Eurasian hospitals for hundreds of years.

1. Phonetically Turkic Languages doesn't share similar intonations with Arabic or Persian. We are in Ural-Altai linguistic family. Arabs have Semitic language. Persians are İndo-European.
2. Also geographically, Any Turkic country is not in the middle east.
Middle east is technically, south of Mediterranean between north of Sub-saharan.
Actually, "arabesque" in French means "mixed". There is in art, architecture, design, painting, classical music, even ballet too. Arabs was studied classical music in Sahara desert in history? Maybe ballet, in Riyad, ha?🤦♀️
