Okay so let's clarify everything about the nct subunits please read it so you wont get confused : Nct were supposed to have a concept which is unlimited members until last year , Nct in total is 26 members , these memebers are divided into subunits and they are all under the group nct : Nct127 : 9 members ( they were 10 bfr winwin left this subunit and joined wayv , at firdt they debuted as 7 members, and then 2 memebrs joined , n then last member jungwoo joined )so thats wut the number refers to aslo it refers to the longitude coordinate of the city seoul Nct dream: 7 memebrs, it used to have graduation system , it was formed of underage members , when a member graduate he leaves the group and focus on his activities or join another group , n that happened to mark at first when he was too old for the group so he was getting ready to graduate he even had a song to say goodbye to members but since fans were really sad the company decided to make nct dream a fixed group and keep all the members including mark) Wayv : 6 members ( 7 before lucas left) is the chinese subunit, most members r chinese ( not all of them ) they promote in china most of the time Nct wish : they were formed recently and they are the japanese subunit who promote in japan Nct DJJ ( DOOJAEJONG) :formed of 3 memebers of nct127 ( DOO:DOOYOING , JAE: JAEHYUN, JONG: JONGWOO) Nct U : is not a fixed subunit so for every comeback the producers or company choose which members of all NCT will fit this album or this song and its genre and they choose them to participate so it changes every time If u see like NCT2018 , NCT2020, NCT2021.... Every year all members of nct drop a single with an mv where they all participate in the song , since new members kept joining each year ( or even leave like the cas eof sungchan and shotaro who joined riize , and lucas who was part of wayv and became a soloist)

You guys should start with one nct sub-unit watch a guide and learn the members names and then move onto the next That way is easier to know the members
