Hey Mark, great to see ya once again. Boy, what a great looking and performing firearm. Y'all do some great work over there! God bless and see ya next time! 👍👍🦌

Thank you Mark for presenting the test firing of this interesting rifle. It looks like not many stocks these days have fine walnut on them; I miss those days. I imagine that this rifle is somewhat expensive also but worth it.

Haha! Don't get the wrong impression. Far over 90% of the rifles that go through the Wyoming Armory shop are walnut and blued steel.

Nothing like a hunting rifle with a one pound trigger. Nice looking gun.

Of course, I'd imagine you're aware that it's a quality adjustable trigger and can be, well ---- adjusted. :). Thanks for watching.

Dang it Mark! Showing off that custom build is like dangling meat in front of a hungry lion. Very nice rifle, and kudos to the gunsmith.

Sorry Jim! I kinda figured this episode would be right up your alley. I really think with a little more range time and load development, we could get it to a quarter MOA consistently. Mark

Funnily, my three most accurate rifles really couldn't be more different from one another. My Ruger 10/22 Match Grade rifle can get 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards using a Holo-Sight and Wolf Match Grade ammo. It has a giant bull barrel, custom action, and a mounted bipod. My Stevens 200 in 22-250 can squeeze half-inch groups with my specific Handloads out to 300 yards with a Weaver 4×12×44 Scope, which blows my mind for such a budget rifle. Heck, the scope itself cost more than the rifle did. Also, you can't shoot more than a three round group in 20 minutes because the barrel gets so dang hot after a couple shots. My Winchester 1885 in 6.5 Creedmore will vaporize a Cantaloupe at 400 yards and will knock the Ace out of a playing card at 300 yards, again with a very specific handload I cannot say without this comment being pulled by RUclips. That being said, I can consistently get groups that look like one jagged hole at 300 yards off of a bench rest with that 1885.

Is Mr Kelby from the famed Kelby family of NBRSA legends? I have some Kelby scope rings from the 90'S they made quality stuff for sure. Also great to see another of your episodes, thank you for sharing. Looking foreward to to the next episode of restoring that colt lightning.

Did you mention what scope is aboard? I'd imagine it weighs about one-third of the gun's weight. Dang deer doesn't know you're not holding a 38-55! 😊

I agree. If I could afford to put that one in my safe, I'd leave it just like it is including the optics. Alas, since I'm relegated to making them for other folks, I have to let them decide how they're finished. 😊
