Great video Brad! I don’t own an excavator but this was still entertaining. I do the same thing with my oil filters. I think if there is even slightly a chance it will help, why not do it? Tractor Hard!
NEVER pre-charge an oil filter. The oil you are putting in is post filter so any contaminates will go to your bearings. Just because something sounds like a good idea doesn't mean it is.

We always pre charge the filters on all of our equipment that can be done.
