Hi, my Privacy Pin keeps falling out! I've lost 3 already. Just installed the fourth with some loctite, so we'll see how that fares. I tightened the ping as much as possible, and then tested by pressing the lock button and turning the handle to release. I checked the ping again, and noticed that that single lock/unlock operation loosened the pin by a half turn. Is there a remedy for this? Not sure if the loctite will be sufficient or not. Thanks.
Bought these for our new house 5 years ago and the set screws are always coming loose when the door is pulled open. They're no quieter than schlage either. Won't make that mistake again
Mine were STUBBORN, too - but I kept forcibly screwing them in (separate from the mounting procedure - just holding the knob to work the set screw in)...
How is the handing changed? Simply flipping the latch results in the levers pushing up rather than down. Edit: I figured it out. The privacy pin can be screwed in on either side, thus the reason for both a square and round plastic tab for the unlock button.
Exactly. When you install the latch, make sure the lock set dimension number (2 3/8”) is on top. Then adjust the latch so it is angled toward the jamb plate/catch. Then use either the oval or the round plastic spacer on the privacy mechanism. If you don’t have the dimension number on top, the lock set will only open when you move the lever up! And the spacer you use depends on the privacy pin position - you will need either the circle or the oval plastic spacer.
Should the front and back plate be snapped together and then slid onto the latch? This video appears to show that, but the printed instructions seem to show otherwise.
The video explains it well. Pay attention to the Inside & Outside on the video - it is different IMHO than the printed instructions. My plate pieces were NOT labeled as in the video, but the video ID'd which piece takes the screws.

Bought 50 sets of knobs. No instructions or Allen wrench. :(

Unfortunately I am having issues with my setscrews. They seem to be screwing in just a few millimeters and then getting stuck
I've had the same issue. A design flaw

What if the knob only turns one way

The printed instructions that I received are incorrect. Follow this video to achive Nirvana... It worked for me!
what about doors with thickness: 2 3/4"
Do I need to buy extra parts? What parts are those?
Pro trick: you can watch series at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies during the lockdown.
@Frederick Tristan definitely, I have been using flixzone for since november myself =)
Why don’t you show how to snap the plate pieces together? It isn’t clear what the front and back are. FFS Baldwin…
just get a weiser or schlage

Buy Schlage. Do yourself a favor.
