    I know that I’m just a little bit late to the party but, it would be great to have a Dyno graph to go with each baffle/slip on.

    I got dbx baffles. They sound good. Only problem was I pretty much destroyed one of my black tips getting it out. After removing the three screws, it was stuck bigger than Dallas. The tip would rotate and come out about 1/8". Had to remove the muffler, drill a hole through the tip, insert a bolt and beat it out from the small side of muffler. . I was lucky that only the tip was wasted. I ordered a replacement tip.

    Great comparison! We've had the Motopro45 on a 2018 with the 107 and now the DBX45 on a 2020 with the 114. We love the sound of the DBX45 but hearing the 4" on your video, they sound great too! Which ones did you end up going with?

    On the 4.5" trial, the right slip on was not fastened and you can actually see it slip out shortly after it was started. I also agree that an Idle sound on all 3, back-to-back and using a dB meter would have helped us. I have Rinehart true duals on my 2013 CVO Road King and I like them, however, I think they're too loud and a lower throatier sound would exemplify the allure of the big twin. It would be my estimation that the 4.5" would be deeper in tone, but we can't tell from this video.

    Hi this question is to Kevin (who I expect is very busy so anyone with real knowledge then). I have a 2021 Ultra Limited with a 114 motor. My only addition has been a SE high flow air cleaner. I am planning on having the HD dealer do a SE Stage 2 Torque cam kit in two weeks. The dealer is pushing me towards 4.0 Rinehart slip ons. I assume they will map it after with my SE street pro tuner. My question is are slip-ons even worth the cost? Especially since the stock head pipe will remain with the Cat? Bike is new, 1000 miles so for warranty purposes I won't be cutting out the Cat just yet. Will keeping the stock pipes (no silp-ons) hurt the bike operation that much? Remove the baffle's or swap them for less restriction? I feel like even if I bought a complete SE performance exhaust it is throwing away $1800. for an EPA compliant exhaust. Do I wait out 2 years? Is there a better slip-on you suggest? Thanks for the video and to anyone who can shed some light on this for me.

    • @KevinBaxter
      @KevinBaxter 3 года назад +3

      I wouldnt expect to see a significant power gain with the exhaust swap...its more about the sound really. The street tuner is limited as to how much tuning you can really do...which for you is fine considering warranty is a main concern and you are keeping the cat in the head pipe. Once your warranty runs out, you can swap the head pipe and tuner then really wake it up and cool it down. As for is it really worth it??? That is a decision you have to make. Its a matter of how much you like the sound. It will run a little better with the swap. If your bike were in my shop, my suggestion would be....try it with the stock pipes. If using an HD cam, it'll pretty much be a download with no custom tuning really required. If you want more sound and to open it up a little, then swap the slip ons and tune it a bit.

    This is not an honest comparison as you are rapping the pipes differently between all three.
    You were quite conservative with the throttle on the stock mufflers, a little aggressive on the throttle with the first Rinehart baffles and very aggressive on the throttle with the DBX.
    How about an honest comparison with an equal throttle with each??
