Last night it felt like the entire player base became good overnight. I had a guy running a AA-12 guy invisible as a fire player and one shot killing me right after spawning with it too from the sky. That was my 7 first obvious cheater. A lot are more low key.
I agree with everything you say and It really sucks. But at the end of the day, it’s just a game and I can’t take it that seriously. That’s the problem I think. People be trying too hard these days to be good at a video game that gives you nothing in real life but Activision and other big corporations are pushing this onto the young minds that being good at video game means something and that’s how they make billions of dollars. Kids bragging these days about they’re so good at a video game is like saying I am good at watching TV. Like Ok, who cares. Because of how sweaty fps gaming has become, because of how important people have made gaming a part of their lives, people who can’t compete, will use cheats to ruin the day for sweats. Again, I don’t agree with this or condone it, but imo, that is why they’re so many cheaters these days. Back in the day people played to chill with friends and have a good time. Now it’s more of I need to best at this game, my KD needs to be a 2.5 or my life is done kinda mentality. Every kid in their moms basement wants to be a streamer these days. You look at most of these fos streamers dominating bot lobbies and use cheats and kids watching them wanting to be just as great as their fake idols doesn’t help either. It’s just a vicious and toxic cycle that’s hard to break now. You are one of the very few good streamers out there but can only do so much to help the current situation
i believe thats whats running some players away, it isnt the game itself about 15 percent currently left.there are alot of cheaters, and they are doing it on purpose, to ruin as many as possible experiences
This would purge the cheaters big time, yes. But I can see it go the other way: for example, some publishers/devs consider MODS as cheats (looking at you, Rockstar) so I can absolutely see this being a loophole for these companies so people wouldn't mod games anymore. And for clarity, I'm talking about singleplayer games. Or some scummy publisher would make a trash multiplayer mode for their game just so they can abuse this law and not let their players make mods. So in the end, it would be fantastic and perfect against the cheaters, but I also can 100% see something like that happen.
if they really want legal action to be taken, put it in the contract of the TOS directly stating that "any form of modification, addition, or removal of files/code, or any third party hardware/software that tampers with or adds any files or code, will face legal action" (not literally this just something along the line) thus you are legally signing a contract and acknowledging that if you cheat or mess with the files/code in anyway that tamper with the game, Fine time.
Even if cheating was illegal, people would still find a way around it. DDoSing was illegal back in halo 2 but that didn’t stop them. Rockstar actually sued a few modders. Surely Ubisoft can do something similar.
The biggest problem to making cheating illegal in my personal opinion is where the Line in the Sand is drawn in between cheating and modding. I can imagine the end of cheating will also lead to the end of modding too. They are programmed using similar frameworks, they publisher could argue mods are cheats maliciously and the risk would be too high for modders to continue
Additionally I do think that a higher punishment should be had. This will be especially easier for call of duty being that now it's owned by Microsoft that if your call of duty account has been proven to be cheating you lose your Microsoft account as well.
I remember going to Blockbuster and people would have cheat codes on the last 2 or 3 pages of the manual. It was pretty cool and you also had the option to play the game legitimately for the pure satisfaction of completing it on your own. Now we have the internet and we’re forced to coexist with those who live for ruining the enjoyment of others. I use to love getting online and gaming with randoms. Now I play offline cause cheating has become the new norm 😢.
Came across 2 yesterday. I did report both of them and tried to encourage my team to do the same thing but they didn't seem to care. If they can manage to put an end to this, i'd be extremely happy. I already love Mark for being the voice of reason after years of abuse that came from COD.
I think the only problem with going full blown legal action is the implications it has for irrelevant games and how publishers could use a new law to also go after modders and ppl who just mess around in single player games. It would let them go after game preservers who just wanna make roms for old Mario games or whatever. Big companies already using the legal system and copyright to take down a lot of content that shouldn’t be. If u make a law allowing them to say u can’t touch any part of the games u but it’s one step closer to to paying for something you don’t own.
I have seen one guaranteed cheater in my 7-10 hrs of play (80+ kills on hotshot, I was on same team and ran around finding about zero enemies but TONS of tags lol) and I want to say I may have had a second encounter but that was the blatantly obvious one. On my team or not it pissed me off so much. Just can’t understand where the fun is in doing that
They only need to make it extremely inconvenient to cheat to make people stop. Ip and hardware bans make it more annoying to use the cheats and maybe annoying enough to not do it
It can definitely use some fine tuning but overall I like XDefiant. I think Mark Rubin is doing a great job with the progression of XDefiant but XDefiant does have a major cheating problem. Hopefully Mark Rubin and his team can deal with this issue before it drives players away from XDefiant.
They'd have to be very careful on making cheating illegal. People get mistaken as cheaters all the time, and it be even worse for a game dev if they got sued for falsely banning someone cause of all the legal issues that person had to go through all cause they were mistaken as a cheater when they weren't.
I played with crossplay on and allowed input based matchmaking for a bit when first playing and ran into a handful of obvious cheaters. The most obvious was soft aim and wall hacks. Haven’t seen anything more than that. I turned off crossplay and input based matchmaking and now have only seen some possible Cronus users.
1st offence = $1000 fine + account ban 2nd offence = $2000 fine + your consoles and PC are confiscated. Not banned, just straight-up taken away from you so you have to buy new ones. 3rd offence = $5000 fine + two weeks in jail + console/PC confiscation (again) 4th+ offense = increasing fines and time in jail + console/PC confiscation (again)
I'm level 70 and for reference I've probably seen 3-5 blatant cheaters in my games and dozens of possible cheaters but that could just be the skill gap.
I wouldn’t do the hardware ban and that’s only because what if I get banned and then I go down and I sell this kid my Xbox for $100 less and then I go and buy me a new one? Now this kid has banned hardware and I can just go ahead and keep on.
Couldn’t the companies just put in the terms and conditions that if someone is caught cheating they have to pay so much? Or would that not be legally enforceable?
I’ve only run into one cheater so far in this game their name was “BIG__MEAT”. I NEVER accuse people of cheating but this guy was crazy. The whole kill feed was his name for the entire match. Not a single person could kill them and they were just spraying with an LMG. I don’t know how to report people on this game so I tweeted at xdefiant their name.
I would need to see your stats to believe that because I have 80hrs I And I've gotten 9 people banned that were cheating and I'm sure I wasn't so lucky to be the only one to run into cheaters.
I just read the thumbnail and YES cheating should be illegal. They are disrupting and messing up businesses that invest millions on millions. cheating in multiplayer games should be illegal
I’ve been firebombed by an echelon. I’ve been shot and killed the moment I turn a corner from players knowing where I am before I do. I’ve seen players get quads with an mp5 while jumping up and down and in circles. Are they cheating or are they just really good? No one will ever know.
@@JbowenDaMan I once saw 2 flying cheaters on the SAME enemy team, in mayday of course. Shit looked like iron man and war machine just vaporising anything that dared to move Also, I'm not sure what you mean by blatant cheaters. If I see someone who obeys the mechanics of the game, yet somehow drops 70-10 3 games in a row (yes, I got this level 30 guy 3 games in a row), does that count? Im pretty sure that counts, since I went and checked XDefiant tracker and found his career kills per match was 30. So likely 15 before procuring hacks. There's a lot more to cheating than just flying in the sky.
I have a friend that is borderline pro at CoD and he shreds on this game, I promise you he's not cheating, he just is built differently. I built his PC and I know he doesn't have the understanding of PC software to cheat. Some people really are just stupidly good at shooter games.
They should just make every game account require a facial scan or some sort of biometric data to create. Then if you get caught cheating in an online game, your biometric data gets added to a blacklist that every online game uses. First offense means a 6 month ban from all online games and it doubles after every subsequent offense.
Some problems I could see is if the biometric blacklist gets used for other things like getting banned if you express an ideology that the devs disagree with or something silly like that. Also, twins can share the same biometric data so there’d need to be a way that they can each have a separate account. If those problems could be negated then I’d happily scan my face or fingerprint to play an online game without cheaters and I wouldn’t see why any non-cheater wouldn’t. Making an account in this system would be the same as making an account today, it would just have you enter a biometric password instead of a string of characters. Biometric passwords are already a thing, so it’s not like it’d be a revolutionary change. Maybe it could something players could opt into. []check this box to guarantee there’s no cheaters (Face ID required)
@gatlin1320Theres also a lot of other stuff to like I think there are a lot of players like me who don't want to have to but in are biometric data just to play a video "kind of creepy but that's just my opinion". And then on top of that you have other privacy concerns like what if the companies database gets hacked then everyone's biometric data is leaked? It's just to much bad for something like that to work Imo.
Making cheating illegal is a bit too much. As good as it sounds at first. Problem is companies like say Nintendo will absolutely take advantage of a law like that to punish those who mod their consoles/games. Cheating, Hacking, and modding are all things that go hand-in-hand. And the lawyers these companies hire can easily twist it all to mean the exact same thing. I know it's easy to think in the context of online shooters like XDefiant and CoD. But these are not the only games with people who modify game files to make the games easier or harder. If Nintendo can sue the person behind the Hide and Seek mod in Super Mario Odyssey they absolutely would.
You’re right but that Nintendo situation was a lil different. He was selling ROMs or something similar for a game Nintendo would no longer support. I don’t believe that he deserved the punishment he received
There's one guy who sells them on his site He even does promo videos for R6S and Xdf cheats Idk his name but just look up xdefiant cheats or cheaters and he's pretty much one of the more aggressive cheaters
@JbowenDaMan found him But I noticed he hid his xdefiant videos from this season 0 to private But yeah it's this guy,he still has the beta and r6s videos, with him promoting the mods in his descriptions youtube.com/@dllpgaming?si=6MKpf32985y5gflc
I've only had one. I kept sniping him (Mosley) and next thing i know i was getting snipped as soon as i spawned in till my deaths caught up to my kills.
I think it's great classic cod players are supporting the competition of cod. Its nice bc Activision can't keep getting away with this. I just find it difficult to play xdefiant for several reasons. Which is the hero aspect and it feels outdated. Which sucks bc i really wanted to like this game. Keep fightin the good fight guys. Wish i could enjoy it as much as all yall. ❤
Play all I think the best way is the simply mark the account as a cheater, and then in the matchmaking process, only matchup cheaters with cheaters that’s the best way to handle them. Once you verify they’re cheating you can see all hacks or you can see them floating above the map or whatever the particular cheats are that are going on in a given game you just mark that guy a cheaterin a hidden feature on his account and then he only gets match made with other cheaters. Let them play each other.
Not saying this directly at Xdefiant but I believe a lot of these games (especially free titles) only pretend to go after cheaters because the cheaters buy microtransactions as well (probably a little more than regular players who knows). Go after a few for the image but why get rid of all of them if they're bringing in money especially if the game is hurting for those micro sales (something like Activision)
this happened one game during my first ranked match. they were floating in escort then when we switched to escorting. he would bunny hop like 50 feet in the air. i have the video saved on my console. i was flabberghasted
it's not gonna change until those actually using the cheats can be arrested and charged for it as a crime. edit: i swear i posted my comment before watching just to figure out it was the whole point of the video lmao. great minds think alike my friend.
Yep it would be a pretty timely process, could take a decade +, but if it means a world with way less cheating in games I’d be all for it. Also yeah I wouldn’t mind time and resources being spent on this. Activision is constantly going to court with cheat providers and it has no effect whatsoever on their products (besides their own greed). I can’t imagine doing this would prevent them from still focusing on their games they are producing.
If it was a U.S law, then the U.S servers would be much better. There might be a few from other countries, but they would most likely play on their own servers.
I feel the gaming companies need to start sueing people for cheating!!! When people cheat it makes people not play the game makes new people not play! Then on top of it your losing soo much money from it!! I feel they need to sue! This is the only way people will learn and if possible pursue charges!!!! The reason I say they need to become more stricter because it starts with just hacking a game to stealing someone's identity!!! This is how criminals are born!! It starts with something lil then it go to something bigger
I have an idea for these gaming companies who like to make their games and not have people mess with them Maybe find a way to fry their system everytime they cheat use some unfair play advantage or some other BS this would separate real players from fake players real people from zombies
I am like 30 hours in and have not encountered any cheaters. I am sure I have been in lobbies with them but did not notice. Maybe they were on my team.
I don't feel like a POS when I buy stuff from the XDefiant store, in COD when I buy something I feel dumb cause I'm gonna lose it no matter what in less than a year. I'm spending some money in this game to keep it goin
i have mentioned in comments before cheating 100% should be illegal and the punishment should be having ur hardware taken away from you and like a $1,000 fine
Yes untill it is worth the risk cheat providers will take it as big money are behind that risk . But if the only benefit is advantage in game players might think twice before they load that nasty software . If legal actions are on the table
Why would I stop using the skill gap this game has to offer? There are plenty of games that jumping is useless and I don’t use it, but in XDefiant it’s extraordinarily useful, so why wouldn’t I use it?
Hard disagree. Jumping takes no skill. It’s just spamming a button. It becomes skill when combined with other movement mechanics. Jumping is abused to the point that’s the only movement feature many are using.
@@thabruhfrom9444Anything after 1-2 I'd agree but I've had to jump multiple corners on guys camping B on Attica Heights and it's definitely useful especially with the Non-stop intel ping
@@thabruhfrom9444 isn’t that what jumping is? I jump around corners, I jump in gunfights to fine tune my aim, I jump to avoid bullets, air strafe to throw targets off who can’t track. I mean yeah if you stand in 1 place and jump non stop it’s pointless. But I find jumping very useful in many situations in XDefiant.
I had a cheater on my team last night started the match normal and the other team had some decent players but nothing out of norm but apparently cheater was getting stomped and had to flip the switch. I saw 3 people just drop right in front of me I was like huh that was weird so I looked at kill feed bam 2 more all headshots with pistol so I reported my teammate and left the match. But I’ve also had two different flying cheaters and one positive Waller with soft aimbot
unless personal ID is provided to the gaming company to play the game its impossible to ticket or charge individuals. best thing is to combat cheat providers and pay to develop anti cheats. banning accounts for ever is the best punishment, its harder when a game is free but there is no other way. i dont understand how these people have fun cheating and then starting a new account over and over when banned. dont they care about their stats??
Also need to address rage quitters but not legally. I just want strict time outs and an eventual hardware ban. Im tired of being thrown into lopsided games bc everyone quit or my team quitting on me bc they cant run up kills. Play the damn objective or dont turn on the game

Says the guy using a vpn. Shit up bum get good
Last night it felt like the entire player base became good overnight. I had a guy running a AA-12 guy invisible as a fire player and one shot killing me right after spawning with it too from the sky. That was my 7 first obvious cheater. A lot are more low key.
At this point God himself should just SMITE the cheaters 🤷♂️😅
YES 10000000000000000000%. If they find enjoyment with cheating in video games, I can only imagine how they are/act in public situations.
I’d just go to the devil and be right back in.
@@Badman201 he’s already defeated for eternity so that’s not an option 🚫
@@draizenegev2483 and Santa exsist also.
@DixieCrusader-X- at that point it be a court case and all they would have to do is pull system logs to see what matches between what alibi.
Just can’t understand where the fun is in doing that
I agree that all gaming studios should get together and request the government to go after all these cheat providers
Cheating will never go asay unless the government actually makes it illegal
If you cheat in a video game you are DEFINITELY addicted to video games and should go outside 😂
They only need to make it extremely inconvenient to cheat to make people stop. Ip and hardware bans make it more annoying to use the cheats and maybe annoying enough to not do it
Legislation against cheating would make total sense, it’d be a big W for gamers and the industry as a whole
500$ dollar fine for players 6 months+ for the devs.. you got my vote👍👍
1st offence = $1000 fine + account ban
2nd offence = $2000 fine + your consoles and PC are confiscated. Not banned, just straight-up taken away from you so you have to buy new ones.
3rd offence = $5000 fine + two weeks in jail + console/PC confiscation (again)
4th+ offense = increasing fines and time in jail + console/PC confiscation (again)
I'm level 70 and for reference I've probably seen 3-5 blatant cheaters in my games and dozens of possible cheaters but that could just be the skill gap.
IP and hardware bans works quite well, most of cheaters wont know how to deal with it...
I wouldn’t do the hardware ban and that’s only because what if I get banned and then I go down and I sell this kid my Xbox for $100 less and then I go and buy me a new one? Now this kid has banned hardware and I can just go ahead and keep on.
@honestlynate7922 it will cost you new xbox...
Hwid does💩right back on in seconds so keep wishing
@DixieCrusader-X- Not all of them know about it. Those bans reduce cheaters by a margin.
"what you in here for?"
"i cheated in a video game" lol
Couldn’t the companies just put in the terms and conditions that if someone is caught cheating they have to pay so much? Or would that not be legally enforceable?
I’ve only run into one cheater so far in this game their name was “BIG__MEAT”. I NEVER accuse people of cheating but this guy was crazy. The whole kill feed was his name for the entire match. Not a single person could kill them and they were just spraying with an LMG. I don’t know how to report people on this game so I tweeted at xdefiant their name.
That’s way to much government overreach lol.
Can they not have something in the user agreement for cheating?
I have 100+ hours and I've not noticed a single cheater
I would need to see your stats to believe that because I have 80hrs I
And I've gotten 9 people banned that were cheating and I'm sure I wasn't so lucky to be the only one to run into cheaters.
Iv also seen no signs of cheating and I’m level 130
No, no. No jail, just a classic wall and a cigarette... 🚬
I just read the thumbnail and YES cheating should be illegal. They are disrupting and messing up businesses that invest millions on millions. cheating in multiplayer games should be illegal
Cheating needs to be considered a crime in certain online environments.
I’ve been firebombed by an echelon. I’ve been shot and killed the moment I turn a corner from players knowing where I am before I do. I’ve seen players get quads with an mp5 while jumping up and down and in circles. Are they cheating or are they just really good? No one will ever know.
I've seen 6 or 7 cheaters by now
as of now I've seen only 2 outta 783 matches that are blatant cheaters
Are we talking blatant cheaters? Or people who kind of look like they are aimbotting or using walls?
I've seen about 5 or 6 and I am level 85. I'm talking cheating cheating not just good.
@@JbowenDaMan I once saw 2 flying cheaters on the SAME enemy team, in mayday of course. Shit looked like iron man and war machine just vaporising anything that dared to move
Also, I'm not sure what you mean by blatant cheaters.
Ya let's not do that lol
It's just to much bad for something like that to work Imo.
starts a rebellion against cheating eventually be big enough to make laws against cheating
If Nintendo can sue the person behind the Hide and Seek mod in Super Mario Odyssey they absolutely would.
bro ever time i play i see et least one dude flying around the map
I had a cheater two games straight. He was on ps and was using blatant soft aim. He is still not banned!
I’ve been saying for years that if you get caught cheating you should get jail time 😂 it’s the only way shits gonna slow down 🤦♂️
You’re right but that Nintendo situation was a lil different. He was selling ROMs or something similar for a game Nintendo would no longer support. I don’t believe that he deserved the punishment he received
In my 25 hours of playtime I’ve seen one guy doing rapid bunnyhops 😂
have ya'll seen the youtube channels showing off the cheats on xdefiant lmaooo they're is so many off them now
There's one guy who sells them on his site
He even does promo videos for R6S and Xdf cheats
Idk his name but just look up xdefiant cheats or cheaters and he's pretty much one of the more aggressive cheaters
It’s really depressing seeing so many people publicly/confidently showing off cheats online now adays

I have some good cheats for x had them since the beta.
Halucha - there's a perfect candidate for legal actions. He's only one example, but many of them are not even hiding anymore.
Wait both stream on both at the same time!
Not saying this directly at Xdefiant but I believe a lot of these games (especially free titles) only pretend to go after cheaters because the cheaters buy microtransactions as well (probably a little more than regular players who knows). Go after a few for the image but why get rid of all of them if they're bringing in money especially if the game is hurting for those micro sales (something like Activision)
can we bring back ip bans?
It should be a law, if they can prove 100% cheating they should be able to fry your GPU
this happened one game during my first ranked match. they were floating in escort then when we switched to escorting. he would bunny hop like 50 feet in the air. i have the video saved on my console. i was flabberghasted
I have yet to come across a 100% guaranteed cheater in 35 hours of play.
Cheating should be illegal because it’s vandalizing the product someone created/bought.
it's not gonna change until those actually using the cheats can be arrested and charged for it as a crime.
edit: i swear i posted my comment before watching just to figure out it was the whole point of the video lmao. great minds think alike my friend.
You make them pay a fine to play if they are caught.
gaming is world wide and you need every country to agree... and to be honest is this really what we would want them spending time on...
Jail time for hacking sites and any employee they have... major fines for those caught using them
have like 80 hours played and haven't run into a cheater yet, not saying there aren't any I've seen the videos just haven't come across 1 myself yet.
Lowkey I've not seen any confirmed cheaters. Maybe its because I play in controller input based matchmaking, but most I can say is some are sus
HOORAY! They finally realise the games full of cheaters!🤨
I am like 30 hours in and have not encountered any cheaters. I am sure I have been in lobbies with them but did not notice. Maybe they were on my team.
Hey j long time lurker first time commenting. Could you by chance let me know what setup you have on your ak in this video? Looks great! Thanks!
I changed it up a tiny bit, I use the barrel stabilizing, front rail vertical, optic holo, rear grip heavy grip, stock precision
Seen the flying and I see dude jump real high
Surprisingly I've played everyday since it's been out and haven't seen a single cheater but I know they're there
I don't feel like a POS when I buy stuff from the XDefiant store, in COD when I buy something I feel dumb cause I'm gonna lose it no matter what in less than a year. I'm spending some money in this game to keep it goin
in other words banning someone in XDifiant is pointless.
i have mentioned in comments before cheating 100% should be illegal and the punishment should be having ur hardware taken away from you and like a $1,000 fine
Yes untill it is worth the risk cheat providers will take it as big money are behind that risk . But if the only benefit is advantage in game players might think twice before they load that nasty software . If legal actions are on the table
I feel that Microsoft could delete these cheat providers online before people buy them.
I absoluelty love Mark Rubin and his team man. I love this game as well. XD is gonna go far man.
Its honestly simple. Technology. We have come too far down the hole. The more technology advances, the more cheating will happen
100% that’s why legal action at some point will be required, at some point it’ll just be too easy to cheat and ruin games in the future.
@@JbowenDaMan correct.
At first I was like wow this is a bit much, but than I remembered that I never cheated in a multiplayer game so who gives a sheet?
Stop, jumping..
I haven’t seen any in my 60 hours by some miracle
I had a cheater on my team last night started the match normal and the other team had some decent players but nothing out of norm but apparently cheater was getting stomped and had to flip the switch. I saw 3 people just drop right in front of me I was like huh that was weird so I looked at kill feed bam 2 more all headshots with pistol so I reported my teammate and left the match. But I’ve also had two different flying cheaters and one positive Waller with soft aimbot
I agree with all of your Points JB
unless personal ID is provided to the gaming company to play the game its impossible to ticket or charge individuals. best thing is to combat cheat providers and pay to develop anti cheats. banning accounts for ever is the best punishment, its harder when a game is free but there is no other way. i dont understand how these people have fun cheating and then starting a new account over and over when banned. dont they care about their stats??
my favorite cheat is being clapped before ive even spawned back in multiple times
Also need to address rage quitters but not legally. I just want strict time outs and an eventual hardware ban. Im tired of being thrown into lopsided games bc everyone quit or my team quitting on me bc they cant run up kills. Play the damn objective or dont turn on the game
