    The determination of the people who invented skating is impressive; I mean, they were working with bone blades and no evidence that it's even possible.

    I've skated on the Frogner rink but not the oval,many years ago.I visited it 5 years ago in May.The stadium looks the same.The Americans and Canadians have raced pack style for over 100 years.Now the Europeans call them mass starts.
