I like how kuro incorporates multiple weapon in a character. Its prominent in pgr and I am glad they included that design principle in wuthering waves, it adds a dept to a character that separates them from others who use a similar weapon.

I do agree it's a cool thing for a character to weild different kind of weapon. Though im a bit disappointed that he barely uses his sword other then for a few slashes. And his ultimate just straight up use the polearm. Maybe i didn't see if he uses his sword in his ulti though...i hope they can incorporate more of the duel wield style into his fight mechanics

It seems like the standard weapons are scaled to the characters as well. Taoqi and Jiyan uses the same subset of weapons, but Jiyan's sword is much thinner because he use it like a long katana/odachi while Taoqi uses it like a greatsword.

@@carinanicholas7540 I recommend you to look at Qu from pgr. Jiyan was inspired by that woman not them. They both summon green-themed mythological animals with their ultimates. Both represent china, both are high-ranked generals protecting their countries. The color palette of both is similar also.

@@choco5629 you are entitled to your opinion. But if genshin was so bad it would not have millions of downloads and millions of active players. Those who don't play it are obviously not aware of rich, complex story and lore.
@@klaudiajaniak8437they play it cos it came during Covid, needed a way to cope with all the problems so played the one game that was free, cutesy and casual enough and had characters that could in a way comfort them. This is the real truth, it just came at the peefect time. In reality it is boring, pointless and sometimes downright frustrating. However, it is very addicting which is evident by people finding the game unfun yet not leaving it.
It started with a Genshin player commu first and Genshin has a lot of people downloading and playing it because there aren't any open world anime games, and the game opens during a time when people can't leave their homes. And the devs don't care about the players.I'm not surprised they got trash talking.
It's like AlHaitham and Xiao preformed the ritual of fusion from Dragonball Z.
Anyway I think I'd play wuthering waves it seems promising.

This is a showcase of their combat design not their actual damage output. This isn't some damage showcase
its because combat is more of a focus than open world exploration.
If Kuro is gonna do what Mihoyo does with Honkai and Genshin then this guy is probably male Qu.

- Summons an animal to help fight as part of their move set
- Lance weapon
- Bare limb fashion
- Long hair
- Fights for a people who’s name has -loong as a suffix.
I’m just going to wait for the character with a Vergil type move set they already did it in PGR with alpha crimson weave so hopefully they do it here as well

The more I see, Jiyan's burst (or resonance?) is more likely a dragon that some people play during Chinese New Year, meanwhile Ling Yang's burst is more like the Nian play (?)... Just in my POV

I feel like slightly heavier and slower/articulate attacks would be cooler ± less knockback/more cc but that's just me personally.
I don't like the idea of having to run after each individual enemy because I was fighting 4 enemies and they all took insane knock back in different directions

this isnt genshin impact, it's a game named wuthering waves created by kuro games that isnt out yet. I made the same mistake of assuming this was a game made by hoyoverse once and got absolutely shat on by the community

I like this kind of effect in game. The clothes are kinda Chinese but much better than genshin. Feel like genshin minimize everything related to character and they invest more in the open world.

They really are, taking Genshin and ToF and puttin gthem together for this sht..
It's like they took the ToF combat mechanics and design, combined it with how refined Genshin is graphically and they had a son.
They gave Xiao a Sword, long hair, 40cm more height (LIKE WE BEEN ASKING SINCE RELEASE) and Ming Jing Effects and Boom.
Xiao 2.0 with a spirit Dragon that mercilessly rushes and CC's ennemies.
