I believe the reason was this: In 2012 NDC under Atta-Mills made it clear they would not continue, nor complete any project that had been initiated or near-completion by the Kuffour government. This, I heard on radio by Tony Aidoo. He made this shocking remark when he was asked about the Spintex-Abeka highway, so that it wouldn't be attributed to the legacy of the NPP. Such immature way of governing Ghana causes the Nation and it's people to suffer tremendously.

Please tell him that he has been given 4 years as president so any project he wants to do he should have good planning to complete them. Everyone government in Ghana has its own plans and do not work to please other governments. What I have seen is that our leaders deliberately start a project when their tenure is about to end. Knowing very well that they do not usually have the finances to complete it. So when they win the election they can't continue such projects and when they lose the election they begin to make noise that the president has abandoned the project they started. President Akuffo Addo continued the Eastern Corridor Road from Oti Region and parts of the Volta Region. This time with very durable asphalt. President Akuffo Addo also improved the Ho Airport drastically but in my opinion, this was not even necessary. I believe the Airport shouldve been situated at Aflao from the start instead of Ho Then comes the Takoradi Port which was heavily improved by the Akuffo Addo government almost to its full completion.
