  • We got good news at our recent OB appointment. To be honest, we've been fighting a lot of anxiety over the past week because Jessi was spotting daily for 1.5 weeks and also had cramping. However, this appointment made us feel a lot better. We're also celebrating a big milestone because we're finally done with PIO shots!

I was craving watermelon, peaches, plums any summer fruit, I wanted so bad! Pregnant in February, March, April! I didn’t deliver until October! So when the summer fruit was finally coming off, I was in heaven! Good luck! Panda Express was a great treat, even back in the day when I had my Kiddos!

At week 14, I had the sensation that I was peeing myself…but it was a lot of blood. I drove myself to the emergency room and thought for sure my daughter was gone…we had found out 2 days before we were having a girl. My placenta partially detached, but with a lot of bed rest, she hung on! She is now 8 years old, healthy as can be, and my rainbow baby. I suffered with stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis as well. Sticky baby dust to you both! Take it a day at a time, keep the vibes light, everything will be okay ❤

I had to take oral progesterone and then had to continue with another weekly shot bc I bled constantly. After 9 losses, I was a nervous wreck the entire pregnancy w my daughter. I just kept bleeding, and it scared me so badly. I ended up having a subchorionic hemmorage, and that was partially to blame for the bleeding. I ended up on bedrest and had her 9 wks early. She's fixing to be 14 now and is my miracle baby. Sending you so much love!

I had my second daughter at 6 months on her sister's birthday she weighed 1 pound 8 oz but she would get to 4 to 6 months and would lose the baby her Dr finally figured out she had an incompetent cervix and they would sew the cervix to hold the baby in she miscarriaged 9 children before they figured out what was wrong, 2 were premature and 1 was full term so I have 3 grandchildren 26B 24B 22G, and my daughter is 45 next month along with her sister who will be 47 she has 2 children an 18B and 16G, I'm so happy for them this baby will be loved by so many people around the world ❤❤❤❤

Oh Jessi, I actually bled out red blood. I had a pool of blood on the bed. I thought for sure I would lose my baby. I had just entered my second trimester and the doctor told me I was safe as most miscarriages happen in the first. My son is turning 40 this November. Keep the faith. God is good, and He has heard our collective prayers. May God bless you both and your growing baby. May our Lord grant you peace and bless you beyond measure. In the mighty name of Jesus, I pray. Amen! ♥️🙏🕊⚘️

This can be a bit confusing for non native English speakers especially coming from gendered languages like Italian or Spanish, but in English, they can actually be used to refer to a single person, especially when "their" gender isn't known. It's called the singular they. An example would be " Somebody left their umbrella in the office. Could you please let them know where they can get it? I hope that helps!

I bled whole time with daughter, had endometriosis and could only get pregnant with surgery. When I got scared I would turn my thinking around and envision baby growing fine and think about her being born and imagined life with her and prayed. It helped turn the anxiety around so I didnt stress myself out. I just knew she would be fine, and I have a really good feeling for you both now. I just know it will be ok, and you both will be amazing parents. I cant wait to see you on your adventures with your new bundle of joy. ❤

I had a very scary sub chorionic hemorrhage at 20 weeks with my first child. An entire handful of bright red blood sent me to the hospital immediately. Spent a couple weeks on light activity and it healed on its own. He is now a freshman in college studying for medical school. Bleeding is very scary, but unfortunately common in a lot of pregnancies. I am praying for a healthy outcome for your family. You are doing amazing 😊

SO happy for you two 😭😭 I am also an IVF mama after loss, so I completely understand how anxiety-inducing every little thing in pregnancy can be when you’ve been through so much - add the awful nausea on top of that, and early pregnancy can be really, really hard. I also spotted all the way up until 16 or 17 weeks…it terrified me, but they never found a cause and they ultimately said it was probably just my cervix 🤷🏻‍♀️ It never caused a problem and baby boy is about to turn one!!! You are doing GREAT. If your doctor isn’t worried, do your best not to worry (easier said than done, I know). And congrats on finishing those freaking PIO shots! Every milestone deserves celebration in this journey 🎉

Part of your village here. I have been cheering you on, and will continue as you progress on this journey. My pregnancy craving was for powdered sugar doughnuts, something I normally had no interest in. I figured t g ere was just something that helped settle my nausea, so it was all good.
Years ago I had Greek friends who used to call their unborn baby "little bean", which always tickled me. Whatever you call the baby and whatever it craves now, I'm sure it will thrive and flourish with all your love and attention. Take good care, sending big waves of love for all three of you.

If it makes you feel any better, my mother had spotting with me most of her first trimester. (I was baby number 2.) No spotting after that, and I was so stubborn about being born, at 42 weeks, my father took mom driving down bumpy roads to bring on labor. It was late December and my dad wanted the tax deduction. The next week, the day before she was scheduled to have her labor induced, she had Braxton-Hicks contractions. The doctor wanted to send her home so he could go back to bed. Instead, her nurse told her what to do to keep things moving, and the doctors to come back to the hospital to deliver me in the early morning.
Think positive! We are all praying for you both and your sweet little bambino! Praying for the most benevolent outcome in having a happy, healthy baby!
Silly aside: Every year, the week before my birthday, my dad would take us driving on the same bumpy road he took my mom on and ask me if it felt familiar. 🙄 We did it every year until I was 10. It was silly, but fun!

I experienced a pool of bright red blood around week 10, followed by lighter blood for an additional week. I went to the doctor and she confirmed everything was normal and healthy, baby had a strong heartbeat and my pregnancy hormone levels were really high. They never found out why I bled but when I read up on it I discovered it is actually not uncommon at all. I had an incredibly healthy pregnancy followed by a very easy labour. Our daughter is nearly 2 years old and healthy :) wishing you all the blessings in the world ❤

My son was a frozen embryo transfer after 2 losses from 2 cycles so I know EXACTLY how stressful being pregnant after a loss is but you guys are doing great! I also had alot of spotting with that pregnancy and made several panicked trips to the dr and like you they could never actually pinpoint why the spotting was happening, they said it just happens for some people and try not to worry! Which is so much easier said than done! 😂 But that kiddo is almost 15 now. Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉 on finishing the pio, those were the WORST! Cravings in pregnancy are the funniest, one day you want something and the next day just thinking about that thing makes you 🤢. 😂

I was filled with joy when I saw the baby wave and kick. I remember my daughter doing summersaults after I had a good breakfast. I do want to say the 2nd trimester is not the magical cutoff for a huge reduction in nausea. I had it all 9 months but stopped throwing up at week 17. So maybe be prepared for it to take a little longer than 12 weeks. That is ok because my doctors kept saying you are so sick, but the baby is sooooo healthy. You've got this. Enjoy your time together before the baby and preparing for your sweet baby! You are glowing!!!!!!!! Such a beautiful couple.

As a native French speaker where we also have the feminine/negative dichotomy, I found that conversation entertaining. There is no reason why words are masculine or feminine. There was also a good SNL sketch with Bad Bunny earlier this fall about the same in Spanish. It will never make logical sense! It just is. And in French, we also say « le bébé », which is masculine regardless of the gender.

I had stage IV endomeriosis by the time we had baby number three. (complete hysterectomy after he was born, story for another time) I did have adhesions on my cervix that did cause spotting my entire pregnancy. He is now my healthy 24 year old Navy Sailor deployed aboard the USS Nimitz. And by the way, I am 52 years old three adult kids and here I am cheering on a couple I have never met before 🤣

Please check up for infections, urinary AND from vaginal. I was also suuuuper naseausss on my first pregnancy and also had spotting. Unfourtunetly my water broke at 26 weeks due to INFECTION! I hope you read this! It is a simple test; in case you have infection, you take antibiotics and this could save your baby. Not trying to freak you out, but I is “simple” information that I would LOVE to have had and save my little girl. (Sorry for my english)

    Hey,
I've experienced multiple losses as well. I am currently 29w pregnant. First trimester was the worst. After getting two normal anatomy scans, normal genetics and feeling baby move regularly it got a bit better. I also felt better after 24w knowing she had a chance if she came too early. I am still anxious, I still say 'if everything goes well' every time I speak about the future. But my anxiety is a lot less than during first trimester. For us parents after loss our rose colored glasses gave been snatched away... My wish for you guys is that as baby grows, you will be able to find these little pockets of time were you do find peace and joy. ❤

I had three losses in the second trimester and they didn’t know why then so I had to do progesterone with my daughter until the third semester - which sucks for nausea and pain but she survived. I also had repeated labor issues with her - it started at 17 weeks and labor had to be repeatedly stopped at 17, 19, 22, and 27 weeks and then we had to deliver at 33 weeks but she not only survived; she thrived. She is a 29 year old special ed preschool teacher in Savannah.
I then had a final pregnancy where I bled, threw up constantly and had really bad blood pressure issues. I ended up on full bedrest at 14 weeks, then bed rest in the hospital at 27 weeks until our son was born at 33 weeks once again. My body doesn’t like pregnancy at all. But the upshot is that I have a 21 year old son who is just fine now. He’s working full time as an assistant stocking manager at a grocery store and is currently across the house from me playing video games with his friends.
I am pulling so hard for y’all but I know how scary this all is. I just want you to know that I went through many, many issues like you and I have beautiful, loving, children. I believe that you will, too. Good luck with everything! All my best to the three of you! 😊

The food aversion are so weird. I'm two weeks behind you at 10 weeks 3 days I think and nothing sounds good but when something does it's the weirdest things that I never eat normally. What I have been noticing is that it's very 'easy' and carb food. Today I saw a video of german hashbrowns and that sounded amazing

I have 2 beautiful kids. My son’s pregnancy was text book. I had cravings, gained weight and had no issues. My pregnancy for my daughter was completely different. I spotted through my whole pregnancy until I had her. I had food aversions and was so sick throughout the whole pregnancy , that I lost weight instead of gaining. But she came beautifully and at a very healthy weight of 9lbs 14oz! Pregnancy is hard, and you are doing an amazing job!

From the many many years as an High Risk OB Ultrasound technologist, bad nausea tends to be indicative that the sex of the fetus is a girl, but of course this is not a definite. The rationale behind what I am saying this is because female fetuses tend to lead toward a higher level of the hormone called hCG which stands for human chorionic gonadotropin, and this can heighten a woman's nausea. But again there are alot of different factors that can also cause morning sickness as many women who I know were having boys also experience bad nausea. Whatever the sex of your blessing, I am wishing you both all the best for a continued healthy and easy pregnancy.

Aww Jessi, I feel for you. I had bleeding first trimester too and it was so scary. I had an ultrasound to check in on baby due to bleeding and I saw baby moving a lot like yours on the ultrasound and it was such a relief. I just lost it giggling so hard seeing him wiggling around in there. Sonographer had to stop for a second to let me pull myself together! I just entered third trimester this week with this sweet little baby boy 🩵 hang in there! You’ve got this mama!

How far along are you guys now? So glad things are ok and baby is bouncing around. Let us just try to keep a calm day by day vigilant outlook. Praying for your family. I was 30 when I got pregnant with my first and only child. My husband was 32. I was terrified because the way my family talked that was ancient age to have a child. I was scared the baby might be born sick and if I did not have her at a certain hospital that had a children's hospital attached, I would be separated from my daughter IF something happened. I also used her OB/GYN because their office was connected to the hospital. But in the long run I would have done EVERYTHING the same way.

13+4 today and the first day I've been feeling good in over 2 months. Towards the end it gets harder to cope with the nausea because it really starts to get to you. You are sick of feeling sick, so to say. But remember it will likely be over soon. Just in about 2 weeks you might feel good again, though I know every hour of nausea feels like an eternity.

Same. bled about the same time. The anxiety I felt too, after a loss. That was the hardest part. Lots of meditation helped and attending a non denomination uplifting church. I took it more easy and no lifting, no sex ( that was hard ( for my Italian husband lol) and before long I had my beautiful daughter 💜
