He loved his people much, and he fought for peace and prosperity. He gave us all this we have today, because he and his people went trough the horrors of war. In case of Kosovo he gave autonomy, made the Kosovo Albanians part of Yugoslavia, he gave them voice. He gave them university on Albanian language, thus educating them to build their own Kosovo. They had better lives in Kosovo than the Albanians in Albania. We all had it better. Everyone loved Tito, no matter what republic, religion, nationality. He was a good leader, a very, very good leader.

The Yugoslavs and the Albanians were both formed from the partisan movement, which encompassed both nations. They were both communist (socialist) nations, however didn't want much to do with the USSR, Stalin even trying to assassinate Tito. The two hate each other now because nationalism has grown on both sides (serbian not yugoslav btw) due to American interference.

Edvard Kardelj died early, Džemal Bijedić also.
Than he made presidency of all six republics plus two autonomous provinces of Vojvodina and Kosovo. Which means every republic and autonomous province would have its own president. One of those presidents would become president of presidency, thus becoming a leader or better yet something like prime minister of SFR Yugoslavia. Than after a year a switch would happen between the president of presidency and one other president from other republics and autonomous provinces. Technically giving everyone equal chance to "rule". Couldn't be better than this, and it worked for a while. But couple of assholes thought breaking up Yugoslavia was a good idea... so sadly it happened what it happened.
