Perfect, thank you.
Great video, never had to use a compactor plate but now I know what to buy if I need one! Cheers!!
Knowledge is the key to life, even if you don’t ever use it 😂😂
This channel is fast becoming one of my favourite RUclips channels. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Mowtown 🤩🤩
I'm really enjoying your Channel - it's so well done ! Informative, interesting and very watchable 👍 I particularly enjoy the reviews and comparisons of similar products - so useful to us 👏 if possible could you compare or review mini dumpers/power barrows and/or high tip tracked dumpers. Thanks again - great work
Hi Bob, great news thank you. Funnily enough we have a video coming up about about a mini high tip dumper, not a comparison but will be a good video 👍🏼
Thanks - I'll look forward to that 👍
Thank you for the video
Don't hold the plate back, they are designed to go at a certain rate of speed, giving you best performance for the area, by doing so can damage the clutch or belt. One pass with a plate on your jobsite is usually never enough, 2-3 passes minimum. Wacker beats all other manufactures hands down in speed and performance and also offers several different plates with high compaction force.
Wacker specializes in compaction rollers so I’m not surprised
So I am a Professional worker from a road construction Company in Germany. I like the Lumag because you get some quality and the compaction is not too bad. But when it comes to everyday use and larger sites you definitly want to get a Wacker or Bomag!
That’s awesome feedback, thank you Der 🤩
@@MachineryNation Thanks to you for the video, great as always 👍🏻
I have the little Hyundai (Scheppach) one and it worked really well for my 4x15m annex. To do 150mm oversite I did it in 4 layers and it was no problem. Will be used to do my driveway and patio next year then I'll sell it :) Cost me £350
James I agree with Jordan, the Lumag would have to be the way to go. I'm partial to the taller handle bar on the Lumag too. 👍
Great point John 👍🏼 thank you.
Yes sir, anytime. 🙂
You had the choke on on the blue one. I have had the the same unit for over with no issues. The only difference between these 3 units is there working depth. The little one is great for sidewalks with a one inch working depth, the middle one will do one and a half inch and the wacker will do two inches.
We did to start it, but not while using it 👍🏼
The cheaper wacker is alright for small projects but definately not for long term heavy use. I agree the Lumag looks like the best value for money 👍🏾
Yeah it ticks a lot of boxes. Thanks Jordan 👍🏼
The best one I've used was fitted on the end of an excavator 🤣
Get out the digger Nev 😂😂
MBW or Wacker Neuson make the best plate compactors. Both are manufactured in Southeast Wisconsin USA about 20 miles apart.
Would be interesting who und where these machines are built. In Germany there is one common vibration plate with around 60kgs which is labeled with Scheppach, Parkside, Woodstar and many others... but who really designed and build it ?
Nice One James At my old job we had a old Wacker plate few years back for home we got a cheep shapach ? from a well known supermarket🤣 same as a that Hyundai works for what we need Thanks again
Yeah, mate had one, it was shit. These plates are way to light, I've got a old wacker 12" (sounds like I'm bragging) an it weight is 89kg an it has a 5hp honda on it.
Awesome, thank you Darren 👍🏼 I think it’s fine for home use 👍🏼
id say the lumag is the winner on price point and for what you get
I defo agree Russell. Great value for money!
Just brought the Lumag compactor and plan on doing a review on my channel but just a quick question what fuel and oil does it take
Ideal mate, strait unleaded or alkylate fuel like Aspen. And I expect it’s Sae30 oil in the sump 👍🏼
@@MachineryNation thanks for the info 👍🏻
with an extension just around the corner, i'm going to keep my eye out to see what sort of machine the builders are going to use to see if i'm paying them too much lol
Haha, yeah you can then tell them if they got it right or not, they will love that 😂😂
Just brought a Hyundai 2nd hand. I'll do two jobs with it and sell. Changed the original spark plug runs okay. The one they supplied was poor
Hyundai stalling was / is an issue on mine. Worn the pull cord out restarting😢
Spark plug
Bro, you say there is no lifting handle but then fold the handle bar down and show the lifting handle, hahaha.
The blue one looks identical to one sold by Aldi for £250 Got one works well and at a discount price one week for £150 + £10 delivery
Ideal Bob, are you just using for home/domestic use or DIY projects?
@@MachineryNation just domestic diy projects that’s all
@@bobcrawford2105 Ideal Bob 👍🏼

What is VAT?
Value Added Tax - on pretty much everything you buy there is a tax included within the price of 20%. We state including the VAT on more commercial videos, due to certain businesses being able to claim the VAT back.
No wheels on the newson
du glemmer det vigtigste! ! Der er stor forskel på, hvor dybt de forskellige maskiner stempler!! Og den store forskel i styrets højde er heller ikke uvæsentlig højden på styret
What about belle
Paid £150 in December for a scheppach 6.5hp 60kg compactor from Aldi. 11,000n force, bargain.
That would be the same as the Hyundai, just a different colour. Ok for DIY projects 👍🏼
I'm sure this a a well thought in depth video, but, before i watch, i want to clarify something.
these are NOT compactors. these are vibrating plates. a compactor forcefully beats/hammers down to compact the material to give strength to the base for foundations etc.
vibrating plates (demonstrated here) are designed to have a plate on the bottom to make contact to ground, which, when vibrating, will then even/level the material surface.
two very different tools for 2 very different applications.
SOURCE: My dad was a technical sales engineer for Wacker before it was took over.
🤦♂️
These ARE plate compactors champ. Perhaps you're confusing them with a leg rammer, but you wouldnt use one of them for a foundation prep. This is what we use.
Your dad would be ashamed that you're out here trying to start arguments on the internet, on his behalf.
