The empathy between these two pianistic giants is beyond belief; it's like they are linked by a common brain cell. This is obviously Rachmaninoff in a fun mood but I would urge you to search for - in the same concert - their performance of the Symphonic Dances. I actually prefer it to the orchestal version - it is incomparable.
I just don't understand why this polka isn't better known?! It's wonderful! And when played like this.. well it just makes you wanna dance!! 😂
