I think one of the most useful features for me was to turn on the battery percentage. You go to settings>battery>battery percentage. Also you can mark your text messages as unread so you can come back to them you just swipe right on the text feed.
I am ao glad you do these types of videos. When I got my MacBook, your setup video helped so much for learning my new computer. It's so nice when a new iOS is ready because your videos are so easy to understand and your camera presence is always wonderful!
Hey! :) you can edit your home screen using settings under wallpaper. It gives you the option to customize either your lockscreen or your homescreen. Hope that helps
You can also edit the home screen and change the photo or turn blur on/off and things like that from within the lock screen. Just tap the lock screen you want to edit and press customize, then without doing anything press the ok button in the top right corner, then you will see the button that says set as background pair, below this button there is a blue text that says customize homescreen, click this and you can edit the homescreen :)

I'll be getting the iPhone 12 mini this weekend and it's my first one in years, I completely switched to Huawei some time ago like phone, laptop, tablet, earphones and watch. My last apple product was the iPhone 6 so I'm super excited to see what has changed in those 12 generations I missed 😅😊 (also, I'm 24 I don't know why this message sounds like I'm in my mid 40s)

Very happy customizing my home screen/phone. Sometimes I rather not. Nothing wrong with leaving your phone alone and just having it. A phone a piece of technology and a 🍕 of importance. Talk, text, etc. Everything and even a speaker.

You can also turn the battery percentage back on the battery symbol at the top right. Settings > battery > toggle “battery percentage” on (doesn’t work on the mini 12/13)

Heyy! I love your videos so much!! But I had one question, how do you get your calendar on your home screen to blend in with the background color?!!
It’s through WidgetSmith. You go to the widget itself and go to customize theme. Scroll
To the bottom and hit Custom. Customize theme, background, advanced color chooser and then type in the pigment of your home screen. If you’re using Julia’s, type in C28a73.

i hope with time they updated it to be able to put more different widgets like the weather because it would be nice to not have to open the whole iphone just just to check what the current temperature is but thats just my hope

btw you can now turn haptic on for your keyboard. also in a newer ios16 update in the future, they’re going to let you customize your home screen without having to customizing your lock screen first. also text dictation now adds punctuation in as you’re talking. there’s more filters in messages if you have your message app set up for that. and you can only do depth pics if you don’t have any widgets so the ai can notice it.
So what will be on the lockscreen if you only customize the homescreen?

You can go to settings to edit the homescreen in wallpaper

Another way to change your Home Screen is to go into settings and hit wall paper and you can change it from there.
i really want the new filters that we customize the lock screen photos with 😭
How did you make the screensavers. I love the ones you have and would like to put different photos on them, particularly the screensaver that looks like they have been taped on. Do you have a video on how to do this?
