- In this very detailed video I show you how to unpack and assemble the IKEA Micke drawer unit, which is the companion to the Micke desk. This one takes about an hour to put together, or 45 minutes if you're paying attention and can work fast. This drawer unit is an awesome companion to the Micke desk, super functional and highly recommended.

This how to video was a lifesaver you made it so easy I felt like we were building this cabinet together!! The worst thing about a do it yourself assembly is when you open the box and there’s no instructions and that’s what happened to me so I was happy when I found your video
Did this today, gave up on the instructions midway through and just used your video! Love how clear and straightforward and visual it was.
For the comments about the struggle inserting the top drawer: try putting it in the lower racks and watch how it slides in so you can aim for the same angle. It feels awkward and sticky but it’s just an odd angle at first
For separating the tracks in the last step: this totally stumped me and I struggled to see how it was working in the video. Looks like ikea’s updated the Micke too because my tabs were black. The trick is pushing the curved black plastic lever IN, at the same time as pulling UP on the track. Worked like a charm!

I downloaded this instruction video about a year ago, I wasn't sure if this would still be on RUclips, I see that it is. I am so glad I had your video on my tablet, the main reason is, I lost the paper instructions, "egad". Well, I finally decided to assemble the IKEA Micke desk, and following your video on my tablet everything came together with ease. I want to thank you, and say, your video instructions should be part of IKEA's information instructions. Actually, IKEA should hire you to make videos for many of their products. Again, thank you for the video.

I just wanted to stop by and show some love on your channel. I would have freaking killed myself but your video saved my life! IKEA needs to have you on payroll. Your calm voice and precision made the illustrated instructions useless. I successfully installed this piece in under one hour and its perfect and only 1 misc. wooden dowel left over. We did everything the same but laying it down when putting the bottom drawer in. We put the Micke drawer unit on it's back and the drawer slid in no problem! 30:51 is when he does the drawers. Hi Mark this time stamp because you have to repeat this step three times.
Tip on cordless screwdriver was perfect, as I would have started without one and soldiered on, but having one made all the diff! Your pace in the video was excellent also, as sometimes a slower video is much more helpful.

one rail for the bottom drawer just won't come out. I pressed the plastic piece and pulled. It just won't come off like the other side. so I am one step left from completing this.

I'm having serious trouble getting the 1st drawer in, everything else was great and Ikea should really have you on payroll. However the 1st drawer won't go in at all I'm not sure why... Can I get some help please?
I’m sure you already got this fixed, but I simply loosened each screw closest to the wheel on the rail that is mounted to the cabinet.
This allow the drawer to push the rail down a bit and slip in.
@@maxmucino I wish I read your comment earlier, I had the same issue as the person with the original comment. The first drawer is way more hard to push and pull out than the rest of the drawers, and I have owned mine for 7 years. I just never bothered to search up this issue as I didn't realise other people might have the same issue in theirs.

I know this is an older video but hoping you still monitor comments. My drawers don’t bump stop like yours seem to. When I pull them out all the way they start to fall out and will fall if I pull them all the way. As far as I’m seeing I assembled correctly but not sure
