I have the yellow one. I can't believe how much I love it. My eyes aren't the greatest and I typically prefer horizontal.. but playing felix the cat on this thing just makes me so happy
Hey man, I love my Miyoo Mini! I've got the blue transparent one and it's just so lovely pocketable😊And also thank you so much for the shout out, it really surprised me! OnionOS with the Activity Tracker are so fantastic😍Lastly, "Hello Slifer👋"
Probably the most in-depth review of the v4 and great comparisons with the other micros. I just ordered the yellow v4 today and am now feeling even more excited to get it because of this review. Thanks for sharing this review!
7days ago i purchased miyoo mini plus for 37usdt . For the price its too good for me can't complain, recently installed onion os love this retro handheld 💜.
Miyoo mini v4 is the best street fighter alpha 3 experience I've had on the ps1 version because the vibration mixed with the size gives it a really strong rumble effect reminanicant of the orginal dual shock controller.
Great video. I started with a RP4 Pro and then an A30 and just picked up a Mini +. I love my A30 but Onion makes the Mini my favorite with the A30 right behind it. The A30 is nice to hold for longer periods of time. If I want to play Ps2 or Switch or basically need more power I pick up my Rp4 Pro. I'll be picking up a standard mini next. Gotta love Etsy mods too.
I also thought the case is a little bit to tight, but at least so the handheld can't fell out accidentally 👍 I personally also like the matt feeling of the new plastic. The new V4.1 has no longer a problem with fast chargers, it also have now a RTC!
I wish the power button was a power switch so that we could hard reset. Also, Onion OS as stock standard would be nice. Wifi Better Triggers for gradual speed on driving games etc! Other than that. Unbelievable. Im glad I got it after the initial hype so I didn't land in fomo. P.S Great review, you've made me even more excited for Onion OS which i'm loading up now
I keep hearing about how fragile the Mini is. I have a rg 35xx and kind of want something even smaller. Miyoo is more or less perfect in design, I just want to know whether you feel that fragility is relevant? Some say it's no biggie, some have had theirs break from just falling from a bedside onto a carpet. Do you still recommend a Mini if one wants it for pocketable gaming?
mm+ is still my favorite compact retro device just wish the battery life was better as i prefer using shaders although the custom shaders don't seem as power consuming and look great
I dropped the V4 version 9with the yellow back sticker) and the screen broke at the button but held up better than the v2 v3. I now have a V4 (with the clear sticker) and hoping to replace the screen on the one before this :(
@ondrej1893 That's gonna be subjective. It really comes down to a few things. First is the size of yours hands. If you already find the miyoo mini plus to be a little bit cramped, you're not going to enjoy the miyoo mini unless you plan to play it with one hand. Another thing is how important is wifi to you because the mini doesnt have wifi. Also most important things is battery life differences. 4 hours on the mini vs 6 or 7 hours on the plus. There is also screen size considerations too. Is 2.8 inches too small for what you want to play? For me 2.8 is perfectly fine for GBA emulation which is my prefered system to play. Alot of things to consider but you just cant beat the charm this handheld has. It really is something
@@midknight676 I have the RG35XXH and the Powkiddy V10 atm, and my hands are just too big for these things to play comfortably for hours at a time. I'd love more handhelds but I also want to enjoy my time using them lol. But I'm still considering the V4 or the Plus, it's on the wishlist. 🤣
I Love my MM+ so much but I have to say, the plastic they use is straight trash. Probably the worst feeling plastic out of any Handheld I own. I hope one day they update this design with better materials.
@turnbasedtoddy7664 The original ones were so much better. Also the transparent models usually feel better than the solid color ones. But still they need to up their plastic
The best? That would be the green Powkiddy x55 revision. Miyoo Mini? No HDMI out: no chance and screen far too small. We've done plenty on the green Powkiddy X55 to prove its greatness!
Just wish it had wifi and full RA control, youre right though there isnt a better (mini) handheld out there yet.. that little metal one out now looks cool if you want to waste 90 bucks on a mini.. cant rememebr the name
“It’s comically small, about 6 inches” 😂 bro you didn’t have to roast us that hard 😭
actually, i think 6 inches is huge. and you know, i bet that usb-c to usb-a cable has a really great personality
😂😂
@@isabelbimberg1342 I agree and I think 6 inches is unwieldy! Surely no one walks around with something like that in their pocket? 😅

Javi the retro 🐐 awesome video man!! I never got the miyoo cuz im waiting on a wish lol 28xx v but I might give in
The Miyoo Mini is so bad ass my favourite handheld but the Anbernic SP is starting to take over my life
Best video i’ve seen from you! Great job Javi :)
A Legend was born with the Miyoo Mini
miyoo mini + and onion os has the crown for about a year now in terms for handheld retro emulation systems
I also thought the case is a little bit to tight, but at least so the handheld can't fell out accidentally 👍
I personally also like the matt feeling of the new plastic.
The new V4.1 has no longer a problem with fast chargers, it also have now a RTC!
And MinUI is supported on all of these!
This is a nice video and like I can't decide if I should get the Miyoo Mini plus or the V4 .
Hi Javi nice to see you
I wish the power button was a power switch so that we could hard reset.

The A30 has wifi for syncthing, so you can sync saves across all your other devices. Just that alone right now makes the A30 a winner for me.
I have the A30 & the 28xx, and the miyoo min plus, so it’s hard for me to justify buying this one too. 😂 😢 😂
28:55 - Which TMNT game is that? Looks really smooth.
Please tell me it's standard on the default Mini.
I keep hearing about how fragile the Mini is. I have a rg 35xx and kind of want something even smaller.

If they make a v5 it should be exactly the same, maybe OLED & faster boot up & game switching. I’d pay double for that
I been thinking about getting an small handheld that I can use for bus/train rides for a while and I think I will go for the Miyoo Mini V4.
@akuji330 l just got in a transparent black one and the shell feels better than the solid colors just so you know

Sup broh, have a nice day!
0:17 whats the name of that game?
13 second boot up time is long. Is that typical for these devices?
Hey. I saw a "search" feature on your menu. Does that mean i can look for games by name? It's what I'm more interested in from the onion OS.
Please help!
What's the name of that TMNT game and which system at 28:48?
Does it have a sleep timeout feature? Let’s say I put it to sleep & don’t get back to it for a few hours. Will it save & shutdown in the background?
Any answer?
@@fightnight14 no idea. If it slowly drains battery & then dies without saving that would be a bummer
@@randomcommenterurl for a cheap device like this it looks like that will happen.
There's a rumble motor in the v4? you sure?
Have to agreed on this one
You can play while charging
Isn't it better to go for Mini Plus? Seems still "mini".

The miyoo mini plus has wifi btw.
Please please please, think of hard of hearing people. Playing loud music while you speak makes understanding you very hard.
Sorry I made sure to take down music on next video
I don't need it...I don't need it!

Reason why this doesn't have wifi - The battery life is bad as is, if you had wifi running all the time, this thing would last 1 hr.

Ah yes the powkiddy with its dogshit firmware 💀
After doing some serious thinking, I think the best mini handheld is the legion go. Its the most powerful and you just need some cargo pants.
@@JaviPlayRetro I’ve been thinking about your comment here, after further thinking I think the best mini handheld is the Playstation 2.
