Gotta LOVE Heilung! Here is a bit of trivia.. the high pitched singing that Maria sings at the transition mark of the song, is a traditional ancient Nordic herding call called "Kulning" that women from Sweden, Norway, and other Nordic countries would call out to bring in herds from far distances. Everything in the song is culturally ancient and relevant at the same time! :) Amazing. LOVE THEM!
I was there when they filmed this and it was easily one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Can't wait for the whole performance to be released.
There is nothing like attending a Ritual! Went with my wife and son to Colombia SC, an incredible family bonding experience. Already in anticipation for their next return to the States. Until then, keep the reactions coming.
Maria is using a bowed lyre,-a northern europe dark age/medieval fiddle, also called taglharpa ("tail-hair",as in horse hair use on the strings) and Christopher is bowing on a langleik,-a european 15th century drone zither.
Hey Jeremy, this is Steve. We chatted briefly this morning on Facebook. Now I see you've released this video today. I appreciate your genuine love for Heilung. I know exactly how you feel. I was already a fan of theirs before I went to my first ritual Oct 23. Now I can't get enough. That feeling is like the high of a drug that you want to keep chasing!
Hey Steve!! Nice chatting with ya, and awesome to see you here! Yeah, I totally agree with you….they came out of left field for me, and it is just awesome. I’m SO excited for this LA ritual! It’s bitter sweet becuase I’m excited to shoot it…but I also want to just be in the moment. No way for me to do both if that camera is on my side. lol. Thanks again for your support, my friend! Much appreciated! 🤘🏽😎🤘🏽
I really got in love with their music first time I listened to Krigsgaldr. Driving and hypnotic music that can bring you in a trance. Anoana, the official video was an instant favorite. This live version tops it by many grades. Superb! Chills all over. Gonna see them in The Netherlands next year.
Saw them live a few weeks ago in Greensboro NC. I'm 79 and like you have seen countless concerts in my day and their show is spectacular! I dare say the best I've ever seen. A very close runner up, that's possibly equal to, for different reasons is "The Trans-Siberian Orchestra" which I'm seeing for the second time next week.
I probably saw you, I'm 67 y/o, and keep an eye out for others of, or near, my age. SUCH AN EXPERIENCE! The fans were awesome, also. The energy was empowering. Can't say enough positives for the whole experience.
I remember Maria , Christopher and his dad in a band called Euzen was one of my favorite band, but Heilung is very impressive and became my new favorite. Can you check out NYY Land very good too.
as a big heilung lover did not like this song the first time heard it but now i love neede time for it to grow on me like big bolder in woods n need time to get mossy
Amazing - thanks for asking!! The energy was THROUGH THE ROOF!! There was a First Nations intro that was new (for me) and incredibly special. Also, seeing the show standing (vs. assigned seats) was a totally different experience. I was one of the photographers and will have the shots out very soon !!
Yep! We learned this fun tidbit when preparing to interview Kai last month in Baltimore! If you haven't already seen the interview, please check it out when you have time: ruclips.net/video/IBsQushnY6k/видео.htmlsi=om5FV9bLzIA0lJ7U

I was second row in Baltimore and not exaggerating to say it was life changing!
I just saw them in Denver! The ritual was amazing. Best show of my life!

That part that Kai sings is so hard to sing in one go.. tried it a few times almost fainted due to the lack air xD

Heilung is absolutely EPIC!
My all Time favorite Track is "Krigsgraldr" Live @Lifa Concert Version. Many greets from the Center of Germany🤘

Seems like people are starting to get tired of the new ways and the old ways are speaking to our souls
