Tekken (Japanese: 鉄拳, meaning "Iron Fist") is a 1994 Japanese media franchise centered on a series of fighting games developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment (formerly Namco). The franchise also includes film and print adaptations.
The main games in the series follow the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament, hosted by the Mishima Zaibatsu, where players control a plethora of characters to win the tournament and gain control of the company; the conflict between the Mishima family serves as the main focus of the series' plot, while players explore other characters' motivations in aiming to control the Zaibatsu.
Gameplay focuses on hand-to-hand combat with an opponent, with the gameplay system including blocks, throws, escapes, and ground fighting. The series later introduced combos and special moves, with characters also able to stage break arenas. Tekken is noted as being one of the first fighting games at the time to use 3D animation.

With the original King, later games made him dying to Ogre even sadder. That is because, back when 3 came out, the implication was that "if you don't se this character returning, Ogre killed them". Then, almost everyone else came back, to the point where King is now the only confirmed character to have died thanks to Ogre. I mean, among all those veteran Tekken 1 and 2 characters, the only one who was _killed by Ogre_ was the guy who was there to *help out an orphanage*
This is very dark and bleak, but fits with Tekken
"Plot twist"... Angel saved King I because of his good deeds and some spiritual connection King I had!😅... Hey Harada could do what he wants with the story👍

In Pre-Tekken 3, the 1st King was killed by Ogre. In Tekken 4, the 1st Armor King was killed by Craig Marduk.

Now I feel bad, imagine Jin now miss and thinking about wanting to get his devil gene back even after just making peace with himself
Who knows? But Heihachi got himself strong enough to fight Devil Kazuya even without a Devil gene.
I think if Jin embraces his Mishima heritage and trains like Heihachi, he could become just as strong and unkillable as Heihachi.
Kazuya too. At the end of T8 it is hinted that Jun finds Kazuya. Maybe she picked him and took care of him. Without the Devil gene, Kazuya will also have to do some character development (he will remain the same cold, ambitious, and evil guy that we know, but he might unlock a new power/side at Jun’s side).
T9 will be awesome if Jin and Kazuya team up briefly like Kazuya and Heihachi did at the intro of T5.
@@tonysoldan Kazuya will have that Vegeta character development, imagine him still being the CEO of g corp, but change it since he possibly no longer going to do world domination

Devil Jin and Devil Kazuya are LONG gone. They’re not dead, they exist NO LONGER.
How are they LONG gone? It'd make sense to say that if they both lost their devil gene is Tekken 4 or 5 since they came out 20 years ago, but they lost their devil gene in Tekken 8, which came out a month ago. It just happened, it hasn't been long, and who knows if it'll stay gone for good

Also Tekken 8 confirms that kazuya’s second half was angel and it was transferred into jin
3 Mishimas were killed in these Tekken stories. In Pre-Tekken 1, Kazumi Mishima was killed by her husband Heihachi Mishima for revealing her Devil Gene form. In Tekken 5, Jinpachi Mishima was killed by his great-grandson Jin Kazama. In Tekken 7, Heihachi Mishima was killed by his son Kazuya Mishima.
4 Actually because Kazuya was truly dead, Sure a few days later (maybe a week or less) he was revived. Oddly it’s weird how G-Corp managed to bring back his soul of all things but maybe that’s tied to devil somehow idk or some other research they had conducted.
Now azazel too. Reina is the only devil gene user left at this point

That we know of, if Reina got them genes who knows how many kids from Kazumi's side of the familly and how many illegitimate kids Heihachi made with the Devil gene in mind

Jin ending the Devil gene on 8 should have been final. Specially considering how badass it was for Kazuya to absorb Azazel, essentially making him the final boss of devils.

Jack and Jack 2 are NOT deceased! They are the very same character who later became Gun Jack, then Jack 5, then Jack 6… the very same person just having an evolution…
I’m not sure about Jack, but Jack-2’s AI definitely lives on thanks to Jane.

In tekken 5 Jin Kazama was the one to defeat his grandfather Jinpachi not Wang Jinrei and I know this because prior to Tekken 5 we see in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Jinpachi announcing a new Iron Fist tournament where the winner of this tournament would claim the Mishima Zaibatsu as a C.E.O after all in Jin’s cutscene of Tekken 5 we see him getting applauded by the members of Mishima Zaibatsu as their new boss of this conglomerate company plus that he sitting on the throne meaning that he now controls the world as planet ruler

Learning that Ogre killed King made my blood boil so no matter who I play as, I always keep jumping the mf past KO

It's either probably a permanent mark or they retconned it into a simple tattoo.
Heihachi’s conclusion is a sad one, but it’s a good way for his character to go out.
It’s very sad that you have to play as Heihachi in the end of Tekken 7

How about Claudio & Zafina? I believe Zafina was absorbed by Kazuya and Claudio got shot by Kazuya true devil blaster and they’re no where to be seen afterwards except for the Hope ending
The hope ending implies that they're alive, so they aren't included in this video. It could just be a memorial photograph, however, so who knows.
I think jimpachin is a contender for the most broken character in tekken, plays as or against
You also forgot Amor King I. Both Armor Kings are twin brothers, and the first was killed by Craig Marduk, so his kid brother succeeded him.

Those deaths assumed that Baek and Wang fought Azazel. Canon didn't have them fight Azazel as Tekken 6 had Lars and then Jin fight against Azazel and then Tekken 8 had Kazuya absorb Azazel. As such, Wang and Baek never faced him, so they didn't get killed.

Thanks for not including Wang and Baek. There is this gigantic misconception that they died thanks to there endings from T6 but the problem with that is they kind of have to encounter Azazel in order to even die like that, which I highly doubt they did, and there is no evidence that those endings are canon in the later games besides the fact that they were not present in T7 or 8 but it was never stated that they are dead. Now, this can change in the future but I doubt that they died in that fashion in there T6 endings.
I feel like them not coming back for 7 and 8 didn't help either. I mean, Hwoarang doesn't mention his master, and Wang isn't even acknowledged. Heck, Xiaoyu is seen having "mentor-apprentice" relationship with Leroy Smith, even though it shoiuld be with Wang
@@NIDELLANEUM yea, that is kind of the awkward thing. If they did die in T6, wouldn’t it be mentioned somewhere, especially in Hwoarang’s bio somewhere since he is present in Baek’s T6 ending? As for Wang, it kind of feels like Leroy kind of retconned Wang out of being Xiaoyu’s mentor. Like, Xiaoyu never mentions or interacts with Wang ever since T6. Now if Wang did die between T6-T7 or T6-T8, I feel like might be from natural causes instead but still. Maybe we might be an answer later, whether it is from the games or some interview from someone from the Tekken team (most likely Harada)
Knowing Hwoarang, indeed there's absolutely no way he wouldn't tell Jin "my master died because he fought the demon that you brought back to this world". Or, at least, Tekken 8 would have made him more present when Azazel returned, since, you know, he was in that arena earlier.
I also feel like Wang was retconned out by Akuma. I mean, him being connected with the Mishima family would have made him the perfect candidate to fill in for Akuma's role@@MetaKnuxXbeats
@@NIDELLANEUM yea, that’s the weird part. If Baek did die in the fashion he did in T6, then Hwoarang had to at least mention it in T8 when Azazel returned. Whether he tells someone like Jin or just says it to himself in his mind, either way. As for Wang also being potentially being retconned by Akuma, I think that would be hilariously ironic since Akuma himself is also retconned out of the Tekken story in T8 since he is nowhere to be mentioned at all. I guess Capcom didn’t have them the rights to use Akuma this time.
Akuma's case could be something akin to when Marvel and DC no longer retain guest characters' rights and have to get around them for copyright issues. Like how Shang-Chi's father is actually supposed to be Fu Manchu, or how Godzilla attacking the Marvel universe is still canon, but you'll no longer see them referencing this@@MetaKnuxXbeats

Because Heihachi is human and honestly bringing him back would ruin Kazuya's victory in my opinion, so please, don't bring him back in canon. Non-canon DLC or Tag 3, sure, why not. But canonically? Please no.

@@FumezEditz7435 But that would RUIN his conclusion. Him coming back is the last thing this series needs. I know Heihachi is a big Tekken icon, but Namco can't keep using him all the time. And besides, both of his voice actors died too, and I doubt they'll be able to bring in a third one. So I say the most logical and reasonable decision, is to let Heihachi rest and also let Kazuya have his victory over him.

Their endings are non-canon since they never fought Azazel. However, you could consider that Wang actually died after Tekken 6 since he was wayyyy too old.
