Well they are teenage/early twenty amateurs, so there's that. Plus this is Division III in the NCAA. But anyways, you don't give these guys the respect they deserve. Either team would beat a rec league team final.
Both these teams seem soft on the ball and bad in the air, two of the major proponents of what D3 soccer used to be all about: Winning 50/50s in the air and getting into every tackle as hard as possible. Oh, and 100% full pressure on the ball at all times. What happened to college soccer? I see the same changes in D1 too, btw. Watch games from 10-15+ years ago. Entirely different style of play. College soccer isn't what it used to be, I guess.
@@hajioich even with it being a scrappier game - first touches are heavy, guys look unathletic/make poor soccer iq decisions consistently, and there’s no structure to either game plan. To me this looks like an adult league final. I’ll have to look up Babson because I’ve heard that name before.
@@bensuter5520 yeah I gotta agree lmao. But its crazy cause lots of these kids in before college played at the highest level in the US or their country, getting National team call ups and academies. I wonder if they just get worse once they join the college team lol.
Congratulations Coach Sitch! You did a tremendous job in leading these young men to a well-deserved championship.
Nick Boardman is my brother. Been a pleasure to watch him and the boys play this season.
Congratulations Maroons🎉
Next USMNT Coach?
Yea, from D3 Championship to the USMNT. Nonsense.

He just won the national championship in the United States, what more does he have to prove?

44:10 through 45:10 is a decent run of play.
it is absolutely not. Awful quality of passing. Scrappy
Goooooo Maroons!
Looks like a rec league final

@barkbark9000 dude, our U11 can keep possession longer than these guys, this is a joke.

I was surprised at how bad this looks. I remember high level D3 soccer being quality.
It is high level but probably looks scrappier since its such a close matchup. Look up babson soccer they play some beautiful football.
