There are loads of great scenes in this, but I really couldn't stop laughing for a few minutes straight at that little whimping(?) noise Loki made after getting smashed by Hulk. This really made my day.
One of my personal fave scenes: "The council has made a decision" "I recognise that the council has made a decision but as it is a stupid ass decision I have elected to ignore it"
And then later Steve proves to Tony that he was wrong about him-"everything special about you Rogers, came out of a bottle" ...well we'll see about that. The fact that they both prove each other wrong, and both change and grow, is just such a satisfying thing to see play-out and truly brings their arcs together in a way as well as bringing their own arcs full circle.
I swear, I've never seen another reactor point that out on first watch. For most of us we have seen this movie 50 times or more, so we get that part. But never seen a first reactor notice it.
There is a room full of world class scientist and Hawkeye is the only one who realises that the Tesseract is a portal. I still baffles me that most people think that Hawkeye is the most useless Avenger. Yes, he is poorly written in the movie, but he is so much more than just the one with the bow and arrows.
Right?! He's called the most useless Avenger, and yet he would've taken down the entire Helicarrier if Tony hadn't been there to fly out and fix it. He literally took Loki down with one arrow. And like you said, he was the only one who realised the Tesseract was a door, which can open both ways. (I've always loved him, but after watching Hawkeye he's actually shot up to my actual favourite Avenger...)
He has been my favorite avenger since his first appearance. I never understood why he wasn't more liked. In the ending shot with Loki, he's the one who is up front and center to subdue him.
It’s probably not that the other scientists didn’t know it was a portal, but didn’t how or why it opens or works, Hawkeye just guessed it could be opens from both sides
The flying monkeys comment was a reference to the film The Wizard of Oz which Captain America would have seen because it came out in 1939. Therefore he knew the reference. 😂

The Tesseract looks like an Iron Man chest piece because Howard Stark developed the Arc Reactor from studying the Tesseract. The notebooks Tony flipped through in Iron Man 2 had Howard's notes on the Tesseract in them.
in other words, Tony's "heart" is literally a Tesseract. Its why it can absorb all of Thor's lightning, remember what happened with Hydra when they used it? It was a "potentially endless power source."

The reason Chris Evans has his hand blocking his face with his head down in the end credit scene is because it was shot post production and he was already filming Snowpiercer and had a beard.

the best meme of this movie is the circular shot, where a memologist was like "when all of the smart kids in the class are grouped together for a project." LMAO and I fully agree. Military/government protocol/strategic intelligence (Captain America), STEM brilliance (Tony Stark & Dr. Banner), magic (Thor), and interpersonal/tactical/secrecy intelligence (Agent Natalia Romanov and Agent Clinton Barton). This was one of the best reactions to the Avengers I've seen yet and I enjoyed rewatching this film with you and I hope you watch them all now. Props to the special effects team and especially Mark Ruffalo for the scenes that led up to it, he truly is the best Hulk in the MCU and I'm sad he hasn't gotten his own standalone even if we've already got 4 others with other actors I'm just curious as to how he would handle the role in an origin film.

In the US version it is a bit more immediately evident with Coulson as you see the scepter / spear come out the front of his chest. I am not sure if there are any other major edits with the UK version (I am guessing that keeping the puncture and blood would have bumped it past the PG-13 equivalent).
18:00 Cap didn't get excited about understanding that reference because he knows what a monkey is... it's because it's a reference to the Wizard of Oz, which came out in 1939, which Cap would have probably seen in movie theaters before going off to war. He is a man out of time who doesn't understand a lot of things and references people make to modern stuff... but he got that reference. Of course Thor being from a different planet didn't get the reference. But Cap was happy for a change to not be the clueless one.
The actor that found Banner, naked, in the rubble of that building is Harry Dean Stanton. He asked Banner if he was an Alien. It just so happens that Stanton played Brett in the movie "Alien" (1979).
Hey after watching Black Widow last week I personally would suggest you to watch it right after Civil War because it takes place at that time. I think it makes more sense and would make that movie and some of the following ones (Like Infinity War and Endgame) so much better!! The only thing that you have to remember is that the post-credit scene MUST be watched after Endgame! It's the only part of the movie that contains spoilers. In case when you get there ask your followers what they think you should do.
10:55 Earlier in the movie Captain America said he'd give 10 dollars if something surprised him. I'm only a year late, I'm sure this comment will be seen.
I love it in Thor when he calls Colson "Son of Cole"..... Fury bet Cap $10 that he would see something that surprised him. ... "Can you actually imagine Hulk on that ship, it would be mad" (Hulk immediately turns)
fun fact: for the time that he ruled Asgard Loki actually was the rightful king, his father went into the "Odinsleep", pretentious as it sounds and Thor was exiled. There is a deleted scene in which Frigga names him king and gives him Gungnir, the scepter, which surprises Loki since he didn't expect it. I never understood that they deleted that scene, it explains so much.
17:30 sounds funny 😂 but that's not a Joke... He was actually smart and capable enough to learn it in a night u jus can relate his Intellect lvl from this! 💓 And his innovations in Techs like 27:35 and this will continue! 😍💓
So, the security guard that asks Banner if he was an alien, is Harry Dean Stanton, who appeared in the original "Alien" film in 1979. So the whole scene was a nice call back.

Great reaction! So fun reliving shows for the first time through watching others. Enjoy the ride!
Thanks Mike! I'm enjoying it so far
This is probably my fav MCU movie of all time. Loki is an excellent villain and the script is so witty. I felt the hype again through you and I just loved your reaction! Can’t wait to catch up with the rest 😉
The 'Puny God' scene made me laugh so hard I had to pause the film until I recovered. That was brilliant.
Marvel was clever. The casting of Loki is perfect. The quality of the story, the quality of the actors.
Just came across your Marvel reactions. Love your reactions. Feels like when I watched the movie’s for the first time!
Thanks Julie! Glad you like them
Totally love you man. Awesome reaction as always. Feels like I'm watching them all over again and enjoying every minute of it too!
Im not often commenting on videos but I have to say what I feel I discovered you on the harry potter film series and I have to admit that of all subscribed youtubers I am subscribed to and there are plenty of 10+ million subscribers that I have been waiting for you're reactions no matter what it is and I feel like your the most genuine and reflective and thoughtful youtubers so THANK YOU!! for the many hours of amusement and relaxation you have provided me and thousands let's make it where it won't be thousands but millions watching keep up the good work 💯
Thanks so much Denis :) Means a lot on a video I put a lot of effort into!
@@SebScreen I see the effort I know the struggle it is to avoid copyright and all that and try to satisfy everyone but you do what you can do and you'll improve along the way it's almost a 1 year anniversary on the channel hoping to see what comes in your future and I know 1 subscriber can't change your RUclips career but I really wish you the best
In the US version it is a bit more immediately evident with Coulson as you see the scepter / spear come out the front of his chest. I am not sure if there are any other major edits with the UK version (I am guessing that keeping the puncture and blood would have bumped it past the PG-13 equivalent).
17:57 I think Thor knows what monkeys are. It was a reference to the movie The Wizard of Oz.
21:36 is the exact same sequence as when Pepper Potts is chased by Iron Monger in the first Iron Man movie. Shot for shot.
Oh yh! Hadn’t noticed that
18:00 Cap didn't get excited about understanding that reference because he knows what a monkey is... it's because it's a reference to the Wizard of Oz, which came out in 1939, which Cap would have probably seen in movie theaters before going off to war. He is a man out of time who doesn't understand a lot of things and references people make to modern stuff... but he got that reference.
Of course Thor being from a different planet didn't get the reference. But Cap was happy for a change to not be the clueless one.
Everything Cap and Tony say in that argument comes back around by Endgame.... **chef's kiss**
34:30 THANK YOU so much for noticing that!!! I love that it gets proven wrong and we see just how much he can be a hero too
I remember going to watch this movie in cinema when I was 7 now I’m 17 😂
I discovered this channel yesterday and I'm in a marathon. I like how you enjoy what you watch and you feel it, new sub pal.
The first avengers movie is my favourite 1 but I am very bias when it comes to certain characters (Loki❤️) and I just love it so much 🥰
Never been much of an Avengers fan, but watching this for the first time in theaters, I had the biggest smile on my face.
The actor that found Banner, naked, in the rubble of that building is Harry Dean Stanton. He asked Banner if he was an Alien. It just so happens that Stanton played Brett in the movie "Alien" (1979).
Thats a cool fact
I am loving your reactions!! Keep up the great work!
Appreciare that bug thanks
That music when they’re waiting for Tony to come back through the portal 🤧 brings me right back to endgame
And imagine watching this when it was the most recent mcu film, we weren’t positive Tony was gunna wake up
Hey after watching Black Widow last week I personally would suggest you to watch it right after Civil War because it takes place at that time.
Loki just sent Coulson to Tahiti.
Its a magical place
Movie: What are you gonna do?
Me: who you gonna call.... ghostbusters...
Asgardians are stronger than humans that's why he seemed very strong in the beginning like you said. Loved your reaction Seb!!
Thanks for watching Carmen :)
I remember them filming the scenes in Cleveland for this movie. It was amazing seeing everything happen in person.
No worries, Agent Coulson only went to Tahiti. It's a magical place.
10:55 Earlier in the movie Captain America said he'd give 10 dollars if something surprised him. I'm only a year late, I'm sure this comment will be seen.
I love it in Thor when he calls Colson "Son of Cole"..... Fury bet Cap $10 that he would see something that surprised him. ... "Can you actually imagine Hulk on that ship, it would be mad" (Hulk immediately turns)
first time seeing one of your reactions and your quality is so good super impressed
Thank you! 😊
@@SebScreen super excited to seeing future reactions!
10:54 they had a bet that nothing surprised Steve any more
This is some quality content, I can't wait to continue the MCU franchise
:)
I love how these giant flying creatures are a major threat in this but just become canon fodder in Endgame. Shows how much they’ve grown in power.
Goosebumps everywhere. I want to see them
I just started MCU myself, and just found your channel. I knew you’d be good as soon as I saw that your team includes Dobby and Snorlax. 😝
"Wow... he can actually fight him... put up a little fight there.."
You'll get there.
fun fact: for the time that he ruled Asgard Loki actually was the rightful king, his father went into the "Odinsleep", pretentious as it sounds and Thor was exiled.
Why do I get the feeling that you’re a fan? 😏
So, the security guard that asks Banner if he was an alien, is Harry Dean Stanton, who appeared in the original "Alien" film in 1979. So the whole scene was a nice call back.
Love your comment on Cap’s uniform in this movie, everyone hated that thing back in the day
